May Bus

Aph413 · 07/04/2018 19:31

I know a few people will unfortunately be joining me eventually so I figured I'd get this bus going.
My cycles are crazy and averaging 60 days and I don't think I've ovulated yet so I'm out for April.

Age: 27
TTC: #1
Cycle: #4 (month 8)
CD: #25

Not holding much hope for conception at the moment but I've got to wait until August anyway.
Such an optimistic person to start the new bus!

@puzzlepiece uh oh...that is serious temptation. Maybe compromise with yourself, wait until morning and test then?? Then you can use FMU too.

puzzlepiece · 25/04/2018 19:39

@silverpenguin I just got home and the tests arrived 🙈 noo! I was going to wait until the weekend but...
I am sure af will be arriving and I'll be staying on the May bus but I am tempted to see!

MK86 · 25/04/2018 19:36

Hi ladies
Im on the first month ttc child number 2, I am noting down everything at the mo (even though its far too early for anything yet). When I was ttc my daughter I wrote down everything I was feeling so that I could compare cycles. The one difference I had the month I conceived my daughter was a big blue vein up my side and a really noticeable vein on my boob (the same side).
Noting it all down did help me to realise what was different and what was normal for me (but had probably never paid any attention to before ttc).

silverpenguin · 25/04/2018 19:11

@puzzlepiece I'm a bad influence...I would totally be testing today if I were you. But if you're strong enough to hold out then I'd say 10dpo is perfectly reasonable!

puzzlepiece · 25/04/2018 18:28

Going insane over here. Am on dpo9 and my boobs are killing. But I keep thinking "is this a sign". I'm wondering how much of it is in my head. I ordered some more frers on amazon so I can't test until they arrive. Kind of hoping they won't be there when I get home because it's going to be hard to resist testing tomorrow if they are. Is dpo10 a reasonable day to test?

Countrygirl94 · 25/04/2018 18:24

@xLauraa think cause we are always taught it's like have sex and you will get pregnant. No one actually tells you it's not that easy.

@SP84 I'm gonna try hold off till AF. If we are all around same time I might be able to hold off knowing we'll all be testing around the same time. Haha 34 isn't old!

winterwarmers · 25/04/2018 18:11

i really need to read regularly cd5 today and started taking vit b6 this morning hoping it will make my lp a bit longer as currently 10-11 days

SP84 · 25/04/2018 17:37

@countrygirl94 we'll be testing around the same time then! Are you waiting until AF due or testing before that?

Now feeling ancient over here at nearly 34...! Hmm

xLauraa · 25/04/2018 16:35

@Countrygirl94 aw that's not a stupid thought! Well you're not out this cycle yet 🤞🏼🙏🏼
I thought I'd have been pregnant 5 cycles ago 😂😂😂

Countrygirl94 · 25/04/2018 16:32

@xLauraa pretty much same as you actually. TTC #1 and cycle 6 though nearing the end of it. 💕
I turned 24 last month and had stupidly though when we started I would be pregnant by my birthday.

xLauraa · 25/04/2018 16:24

@Countrygirl94 😁💕 where are you at with your TTC journey ? Sorry I haven't read right through my phones too slow and I get impatient 😂

Countrygirl94 · 25/04/2018 16:12

@Aph413 I would have done the same! haha.
I live in a small town and know the girl that works in boots so that stops me buying them in my town as no one knows we are ttc.

@MrsM2017 I hate it too. Best to try ignore them though fingers crossed. The last two months I was entering every twinge, symptom that wasn't even a symptom into my app, drove me crazy! So this month I've only entered opks and when we dtd.

@xLauraa I'm also the same age as you.

Geegeegirl · 25/04/2018 16:11

Hi everyone,

Please can I join?

Age 28
TTC #2
Cycle 9/10 I think
Cycle day 29

I'm due on tomorrow and I can feel AF on her way already. Took a test yesterday morning and BFN. So disappointing to see the blank white test month after month.

I want to try recording BBT this month mainly just to prove to myself that I am ovulating.

Finding it so hard at the moment and having these supporting threads is so helpful. Wishing baby dust to everyone!

starsandstuff · 25/04/2018 16:07

I'm (im)patiently waiting for AF so that I can officially be Cycle 1, CD 1, and usually I'm like clockwork but oh no, this month she decides to be an arse.

xLauraa · 25/04/2018 15:42

Hi Ladies💕

Age: 24
TTC: #1
Cycle: 6
CD1

AF (obvs) got me today after a weirdly long cycle and late OV last cycle. (PCOS suffererer)!

@SunshineAndRainbows6 It's nice to see someone the same age 😊💜 lots of baby dust honey!

MrsM2017 · 25/04/2018 15:17

Sorry @Aph413! meant to tag @Countrygirl94 in my post Flowers

MrsM2017 · 25/04/2018 15:16

I'm the same as you @Aph413 - AF due the 4th may.

According to my Flo app I'm 5 days post ovulation (not doing opks this month as on the control arm of the clearblue trial). I hate the 2ww lol and desperately trying not to symptom spot, but been having these weird little twinges / mild cramps on and off all day, which is totally not normal mid cycle for me? So currently having to battle with myself that these are/aren't implantation pains! 😂

Bought some tests but DETERMINED not to test before AF is due/late.

Aph413 · 25/04/2018 14:25

Unfortunately I have several pregnancy tests in the house. My asda had twin pack first responses for a fiver a while back so i got 4 packets Hmm. I don't have issues

Countrygirl94 · 25/04/2018 12:51

@Aph413 @miserablemouse @silverpenguin My plan is no test in house means I can't test. Just have to stay away from the shops haha! The rate I'm going though if I make it through the weekend I'll be amazed.

@SP84 Welcome! I'm just a day behind you. AF due on the 4th May.
I have to say I'm the opposite, my poor DH has to put up with getting every detail he probably doesn't want to know, luckily he's very understanding. Probably secretly grossed out haha!

silverpenguin · 25/04/2018 11:51

@miserablemouse I think I'm 1DPO too, snap Smile

It's really unlikely I'll be able to wait to test until AF is due though. If I manage to make it to 8DPO before testing I'll be pleased with myself!

Thanks for the advice on charting/OPKs. Last time round I was definitely in the camp of wanting to know everything about my cycle so it's weird to me that I'm quite relaxed about it this time.

I think it's partly because we've set a deadline and if I'm not pregnant by the summer I'm going to resign from my job anyway (which I would be super happy about), I'm just sticking it out for the moment in case I need the mat leave. So although I will find it hard if TTC takes a while this time, there will be a silver lining at least!

Miserablemouse · 25/04/2018 11:31

Haha we've all been there with fighting the urge to test stupidly early countrygirl & aph!
I think I'm 1dpo so looking ahead at the looooooooooong 2ww. Will try not to test until the day I'm due this month, but we'll see how that goes! Until then I'll be living vicariously through everyone testing before me! Hoping for lots of BFPs on this bus.

SP84 · 25/04/2018 11:30

Hi everyone, this is my first post on Mumsnet, have been lurking for a little while though :) Here's me:

Age - 33 (for another 3 weeks...)
TTC#1
Cycle 3
AF due 3rd May

I think I'm about 6DPO but haven't been using OPKs or temping. Have fairly regular 27/28 day cycles so using that as a guide for O date.

Sorry to you guys who have been TTC for a while. I've already managed to get a bit stressed out after a couple of cycles, must be really tough if it goes on for a while.

Anyone else keeping things really low key with DH / DP but secretly getting obsessed?! Mine's so laid back he's almost horizontal and ridiculously non-committal about most life decisions / actions, so I'm just being proactive by jumping him during FW and staying pretty quiet about testing etc!

Aph413 · 25/04/2018 11:25

@Countrygirl94 I'm 4dpo and seriously having to talk to myself about not testing yet. It's ridiculous Grin

Countrygirl94 · 25/04/2018 11:17

@Miserablemouse I'm gonna be testing next week. 8 days to go. Before last month I had resisted POAS and now I wanna test already even though I know it's way too early. Currently I'm 5DPO.
@silverpenguin I'm using opks this month for first time. This is cycle 6 for me, I actually found after two weird cycles it a relief getting a positive opk as was starting to worry I wasn't ovulating.

Miserablemouse · 25/04/2018 11:02

silverpenguin I just used an app for the first few cycles to log my periods as they were still haywire after comng off the pill, but didn't chart or OPK as naively assumed that a few months of "trying-not-trying" would be all it took. Then did several months of temping and two cycles of OPKs before it all got too much and for the last few I've not bothered with any of it because it was getting overwhelming.

I think if you can keep up a relaxed, non charting/OPKing approach for a few more months then do, but I think some people get more stressed by that as they like knowing where things are up to.
Personally I'm going to keep up the relaxed approach for another few months (currently on cycle 12) and then go back to the GP, as his last advice was "well I could refer you to the fertility clinic as it's been 13 months, but I think it would just stress you out, so I won't. Just relax." Hmm

the next person who tells me to relax is getting a smack

On a cheerier note, is anyone near testing date?
