Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment! Sad

Well a 40+ day cycle can F right off!!! Sorry not normally a swearer. But I really had my hopes up, after so long trying, that this was going to be the month.

Certain of AF in the next day or 2. 😭

Sorry for you @Tink2007. Fingers crossed for you for next cycle.

@Rose2887 I hope you enjoy your weekend away and have a good result when you get back!

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 14:25

I’m following this thread keeping my fingers crossed for you both! Have either managed to do a FRER yet? Xx

Kate123cl · 13/04/2018 13:08

@Rose2887 ah I see, sorry!!Shock lol! Me too, no sign at all! It's so annoying isn't it that there isn't just one symptom associated with pregnancy that we can all be sure of lol! Xxx

Rose2887 · 13/04/2018 12:22

No I haven’t had af was for tink2007 - I still have no af and I feel far from it 🙈 was watching some videos on YouTube about late periods.... seems to be common even without pregnancy but definitely not for me! Xx

Kate123cl · 13/04/2018 12:09

@Rose2887 oh no that's absolutely rubbish!!Sad at least no you know I guess?Sad so sorry but at least it's only been 1 months and there's PLENTY more! Xxx

Rose2887 · 13/04/2018 10:01

Sorry meant to say now af arrived 🙄

Rose2887 · 13/04/2018 10:00

Well it’s trial and error I guess!!! It’s only been a month of ttc so not expecting much but no af and feeling paranoid something isn’t right... every symptom you google says pregnant 😂
@kate123cl I’ll be testing Monday too I guess now.. good luck :) no sign of af from you?

@Tink2007 how are you feeling no af has arrived??

Xx

Kate123cl · 13/04/2018 09:42

@Tink2007 That's rubbish! At least you know for sure Smile x

I was due AF on 21/03 and finally AF arrived yesterday - literally 3 weeks late.

Kate123cl · 13/04/2018 08:02

@TTCnamechange haha I know the feeling!
@Rose2887 on no! Never mind, might be a good thing to be away as it'll take your mind off of testing lol! Wow, that's a lot - really good! I haven't dtd in about a week! Very hard to find the energy at the moment lol! Not going to test today, going to wait until Monday! Xxx

Rose2887 · 13/04/2018 07:34

So guys I don’t think I’m going to manage a test as my frer hasn’t come and I’m staying away this weekend with dp 😕
Dtd last night though.... on average how often is everyone doing it?? I think it’s about 4x a week for me. I had a lecture with dp this morning as I had a dream he’d taken up smoking again secretly, took it so seriously thought it was real, he assured me he hasn’t! Just know it affects fertility 🙄
Anyone testing today? Xx good luck if so x

TTCnamechange · 12/04/2018 22:37

@Kate123cl I hadn't planned on testing today! I just have no will power 😂. Trying to wait a few days before testing again but knowing me I'll give in again tmw!

Kate123cl · 12/04/2018 21:09

@TTCnamechange Agreed, it's definitely the not knowing/ hoping that tires is out haha!
Same as me, nothing massive is pointing towards a yes!
That's promising re PCOS, I don't think it effects everyone's fertility! 🤞🏼
Are you going to test in the morning?? X

TTCnamechange · 12/04/2018 17:42

@Kate123cl @Rose2887

Thanks. Could deal with another disappointment it's the hoping and not knowing that's the killer isn't it!

Had the odd niggle I could put down to symptoms, a very short severe bout of nausea one morning for example, but nothing that makes me think absolutely yes.

Been toying with ordering a FRER but thought a standard would pick anything up by now. Still would whittle it was a chemical if that picked it up! 🙄🙃 my hand is still poised over the buy button on Amazon!

As for PCOS that some of you are talking about, I've had that queried in my past. I have almost all symptoms, mostly minor presentations, but no actual visible cysts when I've been scanned so no help with that. My SIL has it confirmed though and conceived after having the dye test to check tube patency. She's convinced it cleared them.

Hope the ultrasound helps with answers @claryFray

Kate123cl · 12/04/2018 17:33

@Kate123cl

My symptoms have been periods late. Every month. With no logical reason. And I'm worried. GP offered to refer, because it's been 6 months with a underlining condition.

Kate123cl · 12/04/2018 17:11

@ClaryFray that's interesting, did you have any symptoms? I do have regular (until this month) AFs so could this still be possible PCOS? X

OP posts:
Kate123cl · 12/04/2018 17:11

@MaGratgarlik1983 I think I can see something very faintly! I think some people just don't show on hpts! Do you think it's a good idea to book a docs appointment?? Xx

OP posts:
ClaryFray · 12/04/2018 17:10

I have PCOS, after 6 months of trying GP has referred me for an ultrasound. Hoping I get some answers.

Kate123cl · 12/04/2018 17:09

@Rose2887 it just says if you have more than 2 symptoms then it's likely to have it, which I doSad I hope not!
It's good that you're beginning to feel pregnant! Maybe hormone levels are still too low?! I think blood test is your best bet! That's interesting re the Superdrug tests... I've used the Wilkinson's strip tests before and they're 10 mlU! Xxx
