Advice on negative pg tests?

Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment! Sad

@mai5x hopefully! I did a fr on Tuesday morning and it was negative! I went to the doctors on Monday and she was pretty useless! Said it may still be too early to show on tests as some people just take longer! A load of rubbish she fed just to get rid of me lol! Xx

@mai5x they're usually regular! 28 days, maximum 32! Yep, 18 days late today!! Have other symptoms as in, weight gain, acne! Xx

Kate123cl I think it just depends how bad you have it. Are you periods usually regular? Have you had any sign of it yet, you're nearly 20 days late aren't you?! xx

Kate123cl How old are you? I'm pretty young too but the doctor said it was a massive indication of PCOS! So that's why she put me through for the tests xx

@mai5x I think I might do that! My acne is pretty bad too! My GP has always advised me that it's probably because I'm young! But it seems to be getting worse Sad I think I might definitely push it! Xx

Kate123cl - luckily the doctor I saw was amazing and sent me for tests straight away, I think a massive factor of mine was acne, which she could clearly see was a problem! They then sent me for blood tests and a scan of my ovaries and confirmed when the blood tests came back! Might be worth pushing them with it! xx

@mai5x how do you go about getting tested? My GP is rubbish and just won't refer me! She said I'd have to miss 3 cycles for them to worry! Xxx

Kate123cl yeah thats true, might be worth booking one now, regardless whether AF turns up or not as 17 days late is quite a long time!! Theres definitely got to be something going on!

Friday is the idea anyway.... I'll probably test before cause I want to know whats going on with my body!!! 2-3 day light 'withdrawal bleed' and what seems to be a faint positive test....! So confusing xx

Yes do it... it’s handy to know when your body is at its most fertile and having a second line can also mean pregnant obviously :) xx

@Kate123cl it is definite, but still doesn’t feel real!! Have you tried ovulation sticks? Worth getting from Poundland!!!! Xx

@mai5x exactly, pills are a nightmare!!
I think I will try and get tested. If I'm not pregnant, it's the only other likely thing I think it could be! No I don't have any children yet either. I think good idea waiting for Friday!Smilexxx

Hey girls.. was going to do another test to see if it’s got darker but I don’t have any!!! I did have an ovulation stick from Poundland though and thought it would be interesting to see what happens.... and there’s two lines... so obviously picks up some of the pregnancy hormones... very odd though as some people may think they are ovulating when they are pregnant!!! Xxx

Kate123cl I've never heard of that one! I'm sure it's my pill that was making me sick, which is silly cause then it doesn't do anything cause it doesn't stay in your system haha!!

It's definitely worth getting tested for it if you think you have it! No I don't, do you? Yeah I think I'll retest on Friday probably.... as there was a faint line on my last FRER I don't think it would be much darker now, so I'd rather wait! xx

@mai5x I think it was called Gederal! I had to change my pill a few times before I could find one that didn't make me sick/ moody haha so I definitely know what you mean!
Ah that's interesting, I do wonder whether I have PCOS Confused do you have any children already? Planning to re test in a few days if still no AF! How about you? Xx

Kate123cl They are haha! What pill were you on? I'm still on the pill! Last month was the worst for taking it though, I had a lot of sickness and a weekend away where I forgot them!!!! I haven't been on it for long, I've got PCOS so they put me on this to help with all the symptoms!

When are you next going to test?! xx

@Kate123cl I know, decent test prices are ridiculous!! I only came off of the pill in February/ early March so haven't really been trying but I guess it starts now lol! You? Xxx

Kate123cl I know, and I can't bring myself to spend £10 on a test every time and not being able to see a clear line haha, think that's why I'm waiting!!!

@mai5x I honestly know the feeling! It's so rubbish! Plus, even worse when you don't actually know when you're ovulation because of no af so don't know when to try! Ahh! Xxx
