Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment! Sad

@kate123cl

I can see something but not in detail... it’s really weird that you can have no af and all the symptoms but nothing...

To be fair I had a m/c last year and went to a&e who said I wasn’t even pregnant and was just a period, I had several bfps.. went for a blood test at the drs and I had been pregnant... my hormone levels were so low though that’s why they weren’t showing up on pregnancy test the hospital were using..

I’m guessing we could of fallen pregnant under two weeks ago which means our tests wouldn’t be showing strong positives quite yet??? That’s what I’m hoping anyway..

Could you do that thing with the app that makes the test glow???

Kate123cl · 06/04/2018 15:42

Works best if you tilt your phone on different angles?!Sadxxx

@Alyosha Hello! That's good to know, I may have ovulated later than expected just hope the sperm lived lol!

@Rose2887 Ah I see, not near to me then! Haha! I feel the same as you, just really odd feeling all day! Feeling a bit sicky throughout the day! Feeling a bit dishearten as this is the test I've just done. I can see something but scared my minds playing tricks! Sad please tell me you can see something too?! Xxx

Ah I see. In that case I think the only thing to do is wait and see!!!

I didn't get my positive until after I had had a "period" (might have been implantation bleeding). Was a bit of a shock as I assumed I was being a bit silly and was just using the last test"!

Rose2887 · 06/04/2018 15:26

@Kate123cl I’m in the east - east Anglia to be exact Grin
Yet again have hit a slump.... feeling shattered and drained but no reason to feel like this Confused
So no af and no bfp.... I’m at a cross roads 😂
How are you feeling about the situation??

@Alyosha hi Smile problem is I don’t know when I would of ovulated as only had a withdrawal bleed no actual period since end of feb Confused

Congrats on the positive tho!!! Xx

Alyosha · 06/04/2018 14:23

Yes, took me a week to get a positive. However I probably ovulated later than I thought.

Kate123cl · 06/04/2018 13:51

@Rose2887 Ah that's interesting!!SmileI think stress is definitely a massive factor!! Sad that's the thing though isn't it when working you just don't feel up to it and ready for bed by 7 lol! I know what you mean, UTIs have definitely got to be the worst thing! That's strange re the results though as they're usually back pretty fast!Confused probably nothing to worry about though.
Yes I'm living in the UK, south west. How about you Rose?? Xxx

@Kate123cl

Well it’s different for the individual but I think when I was 20 it was easier for me, fell pregnant within the first month...
this time round it seems to be different although it’s a different partner... and he does smoke Hmm
I think it’s down to us stressing ourselves out it doesn’t happen... need to stop trying and enjoy lots of Wink last night we were going to dtd and he was shattered from work and I was worried having this uti.. but now worrying we aren’t having it enough.. although only done it Wednesday evening so still a chance Smile
Just called to get results of uti and still not back Angry making me worry!!!!
I have a lot going on as saving for a deposit on our dream house etc... but want this to all work out too!
Kate, are you living in the UK?
You need to get restesting and find out.. xxx

Kate123cl · 06/04/2018 11:54

@Rose2887 possibly still too early! Aw okaySmile would you say it happens easier when you're younger? I'm only 20 this year! Yep, same with me, still no AFConfused driving me nuts!! Xxx

OP posts:
Rose2887 · 06/04/2018 09:07

@Kate123cl still negative Confused anyway yes I have a dd already from a previous relationship, she’s 9, but I was 21 so it happened so much easier for me then... it seems harder work now and thinking about it too much isn’t good for the body!!! No af still though and all these symptoms but guess waiting a week is the next step! Xxx

Kate123cl · 06/04/2018 08:58

@Rose2887 thank you!!Smile wow let me know what it comes back as!! I feel hopeful for youGrin if it is negative it could still be too early! So maybe testing I a week is a good ideaSmile do you have any children already or would this be your first time trying? Xxx

@Kate123cl

Well think I’m going to cave in and do one and if it’s negative which I’m 99% sure it will be I’m going to not test for a week!!! I’ll use a pink dye one Grin
Come on... you can do this Kate!!!
As far as pm I think you go into the settings at the top and it should say pm?? I’ll take a look Smilexxx

Kate123cl · 06/04/2018 08:08

@Rose2887 I haven't this morning as I'm just too scared there will be no line this time! I'm scared of disappointment lol.
I know what you mean! It is possible, I've read it on a few threads before but not sure which tests are best! I think the first response ones can show positive 6 days before missed AFConfused not sure how reliable that is though! I'm trying to work out how to send personal messages on here but it's proving difficult lol! Xxx

OP posts:
Rose2887 · 06/04/2018 07:54

@Kate123cl have you retested? I’m wondering whether I should but have a feeling my body maybe tricking me into thinking I’m pregnant lol and I’m too scared Confused
I’m not sure when af should def be here so I’m all over the place... is it possible to test before af and get a positive? If so how early?
Hope everyone else is doing well Flowers xxx

Kate123cl · 05/04/2018 20:19

@Rose2887 oh wow!! Ok, quite a few symptoms then, sounds positive!Grin amazing, deffo tell the doctor you're trying! Imo, the antibiotics for UTIs rarely work anyway! Lol xxx
