Cake I had a cold when I had the high temps :)

Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:56

@weasledee I wanna say unless there was a reason for the high temps for the beginning part of the chart, I'd say you haven't ovulated yet. Now if you've been doing opks and cm monitoring then that could suggest ov on 30th. Again MCs can mess things up (which could be cause for the high temps at the beginning or if you were waking a little later than usual)

weasledee · 03/04/2018 22:46

Actually dates are clear from that pic, but the dip is the 30 March

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:45

@Cakelaur will be thinking of you. Don't panic if it's negative as quite early. I feel good about this month too but then I know I'll be getting my hopes up. It's so hard to remain positive but not get hopes up too high! 🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏

Claire138 · 03/04/2018 22:45

I’m good thanks @boboelephant I am just coming out of the calm stage. I think my FW will be starting tomorrow so I’ll be opk testing, CM checking and all other craziness associated with ovulation! I’m off work this week so feeling more relaxed as we can BD anytime (apart from when my sis arrives this weekend 🤺). BBT charts are so difficult sometimes...it’s easier to read when you’re in the future looking back at it. Keep BDing you might get a big spike in the next day or 2. How are you feeling? Are you home this weekend or are you off for 2 weeks?

weasledee · 03/04/2018 22:45

Can I share my chart cake? Looks like I ovulated on the 30th? Would u agree? x

I'm gonna test tomorrow. Not sure if it's wise. But I can't wait much longer! Especially after the pink cm yesterday! Eek! So nervous, cos I really feel like it's our month!

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:41

@Cakelaur am so tempted to get fertility friend too now! But I think they're quite similar so will stick to what I know. It's so clever how it all works but does make me seriously obsessed with it - it's the first and last thing I look at each day. I think everyone here deserves a bean this cycle! Am crossing everything for you - when are you testing? 🤞

Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:38

@BabynameEdie ahh ok. That's cool that it predicts next temps. That's really clever. I love how all these apps can use previous data to confirm ovulation or previous temps. Kinda cool. Fingers crossed for ovulation soon cos all those ❤️s deserve to be met with an egg! 🤞🏻

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:36

@Cakelaur ps thank you!! 🙃

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:36

@Cakelaur yep the hearts are bd (some x 2 but then we lost the energy so now just x 1 a day!) and the dotted line is their prediction for future temps based on the last cycles. It's a great app, and says I should be ovulating today based on past cycles but it hasn't logged it yet because haven't had enough of a temp rise - I think it only confirms ovulation when it's 100% sure. It's the Natural Cycles app x

Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:32

@BabynameEdie so I have to get to grips with different style charts. Is the dotted line a previous cycle? Cos I'd say you haven't ovulated yet. If the hearts up too are BD then keep up the good work cos O should be coming.

@Boboelephant I think keep doing opks. Like @Claire138 said fallback rise is oestrogen and progesterone fighting. MCs do mess up cycles but equally you know your body best. So keep DTD and assess again in a couple of days. I always assume I haven't ovulated until it's 100% obvious.

Also any ladies who are charting... if you use fertility friend (the app) it tells you when you e ovulated. You can do the free app or you can pay £30ish a year and it tells you all kind of stuff... like a pregnancy monitor. It's really cool and takes some of the guess work out of it. I've attached the pregnancy monitor page... tells me so much

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:30

@Boboelephant deal - we will both relax! (She says, frantically googling 'fallback rise'...) 🤣

Boboelephant · 03/04/2018 22:25

Thankyou @BabynameEdie your message made me smile. And laugh out loud! We do drive ourselves crazy don't we!! Ok I'll try and listen to you and you have to do the same. Keep bd'ing and relax!!! 😀😀
@Cakelaur oh my god what?? Fall back rise?? I don't even know what that is. This is all new to me!! You have just got me all excited and hopeful. Cd14 would be stupidly early for me though. Cd17 last month was early, before that is was often cd20. The only thing that makes me doubt is I started getting loads of EWCM CD15, 16 and 17 and I thought that usually disappeared after ovulation. No symptoms of ovulation before that.
Thankyou @Claire138 how are you getting on?? What day are you?

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:25

@Cakelaur I feel shy now... it seems much less detailed than all yours! 😂but here goes...

TTC after pregnancy loss - Thread 18: Christmas cake for Christmas babies
Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:21

@BabynameEdie send it send it!! I love it!!! I've done SOOOO much research!!! I feel I could write a book!! Hahahaha

Claire138 · 03/04/2018 22:11

@boboelephant I would agree with @cakelaur. I had a fallback rise 2 cycles ago and I got totally confused on when I actually ovulated, but I looked it up and seen a fallback rise can be common and it’s just esteogen and progesterone fighting. Hope you’re having a relaxing holiday and enjoying the sun! It is miserable here!
@pumpkinpatch000 it’s awful how our bodies go up the left after mc...just as we get used to our bodies ways. My periods are definitely heavier and longer now, however I haven’t had that random bleed. I agree with the girls and maybe just give the doc a call for peace of mind but I’m sure it’s just part of “anything goes” after miscarriage.

Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:02

@Boboelephant but I'd keep DTD just in case you may have another spike. Keep doing opk and keep going. But I'd say you have ovulated

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 22:01

@Cakelaur you're like the tarot reader but for charts! I want to send mine now... 😳

Cakelaur · 03/04/2018 22:00

@Boboelephant I'd say you ov cd14. With a fallback rise around 3dpo and now you're 4dpo. 👍🏻

BabynameEdie · 03/04/2018 21:56

@Boboelephant before I started worrying about these things (in pre pregnancy, pre miscarriage happiness and naivety) I was on my honeymoon with dh and we decided to start trying v casually (ie didn't really make much of a thing about it just didn't use protection) but I was charting/temping because that's how I avoided pregnancy before. But it was the first time I had really looked at it from a 'planning a pregnancy' viewpoint and I noticed that I didn't ever really ovulate according to my temps or the app. But I did get pregnant! I think the air con, the flights (I hate flying so tons of stress) and the drinking / late nights and long lie ins just made it impossible for my temps to be recorded accurately, so my app never actually pinpointed an ovulation day, but clearly it did happen at some point! I didn't have (or know about) opks.
So I think you just have to keep going with the bd, and try not to put too much pressure on which day is the peak / highest fertility etc..just go with it. Your body will do the rest and it's v v likely that you will ovulate if you have always in the past. It's quite rare to randomly not ovulate I think..
Having said that, can you now tell myself the same? Because I'm in EXACTLY the same mindset and haven't had a peak/dark line when I had expected to, and I'm not on holiday so have no excuses! 🤦‍♀️
Support and love flying your way x

Boboelephant · 03/04/2018 21:54

@PumpkinPatch000 that's definitely what we are here for. Hope you get some answers. x
@Daffodils86 yeah it sucks. I definitely have symptoms now that I didn't before as well. And sore sides of boobs was one of them! Hope our bodies sort themselves out soon!

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 03/04/2018 21:52

@pumpkin I've had exactly the same had a normal period wasn't particularly heavier than normal and then day 12 had a random bleed I got up from bed and fell out of me all stringy and yuck but loads I did call the doctors today who advised it's normal after a miscarriage and unless it doesn't stop or lots of clots them not to worry to micj, it's scary though xx

Boboelephant · 03/04/2018 21:50

@Cakelaur here it is.

@PumpkinPatch000 no need to apologise, it what we're all here for and it's just such a safe & comforting place to share all this stuff. Sounds really scary and alarming so don't be concerned about calling epu or even 111 (is that the right number?! NHS non emergency..) - we're all used to our bodies and cycles being one way and then MC goes and mucks it all up so it's hard to know what is 'normal'. Keep posting if it helps you through the night xx
