Christmas Day due date!

AF came today meaning if I try and get pregnant this month the baby's due date will be 25th Dec.

I have a spring birthday so have no idea how it feels to have a birthday that time of year.

People with Christmas birthdays do you wish your parents had waited a month?

How do kids feel about it?

Mine is 19th Dec, honestly it is a bit rubbish as you get a glut of presents at one time of year - I can never think of that much I need so I get lots of random things then by summer there is stuff I’m desperate for but that’s true of anything between about October and Feb. My parents were very good at not doing anything Christmassy like putting up the tree before my birthday when I was young and having parties before school broke up for Christmas. I’d prefer not to have a Christmas Day Baby but my parents had waited 8 years? Wouldn’t expect them to skip a month!

DS1 is 23rd. I don't think he minds it. We always do a separate celebration and he's only been at school once on his birthday - he's now 10!

My birthday is in January and it’s absolutely fine (obviously I’ve never known any different though). I’m really hoping that I’m pregnant this cycle regardless of the due date.

My RS has a Christmas birthday (21st December). It wasn't planned at all but as he was 7 weeks premature we had no choice! He's just going to have to get on with it!

Actually good point - my Mum's birthday is the end of January and she hates it.

At least people are jolly in Dec!

No, I wouldn't want a Christmas birthday. Mine is early Dec and that's bad enough. I'd be worried too about lack of staff around Christmas time. Better to go for late Jan (although I also hate Jan for birthdays - everyone is doing dry fucking Jan and is skint - it's the most boring month of the year).

My sister was born on Christmas Day and it’s never bothered her. As someone who has been ttc for a long time, I couldn’t care less about having a Christmas baby, any due date at all would do quite nicely lol

I have a December birthday and it's great! Everyones up for a party, wanting to get festive. I would love a December baby! (Would feel more sorry for a January birthday when everyone is dieting, going on 'dry january' and skint!)

Mine is 15th, its never bothered me. Life is too short to worry about stuff like this. Who knows how easy it will be to concieve anyway

I’m a Christmas baby (24th) and I love it. I would not want a Christmas Day birthday though! Only a day later but it means you only have one Dayton celebrate all year!

Hmmm yep most people I know don't enjoy having birthdays close to Christmas, it's a tricky one.

I am having IUI which is expensive so I obviously want any attempt to work! But it means I am knowingly giving my child a Christmas birthday.

My friends birthday is 17th and she hates it. But as someone ttc I couldn't take a month off if I didn't have to...
