Af due today. Bfn test !! Any similar experiences???

Hi. I know there are so many threads about these things and I've been looking at so many! I'm just not sure what I'm really asking as no one will really have an answer . Anyway ...

Came off cerazette start of sept. Got a bleed on 30th sept . Next bleed wasn't until 6weeks plus a 3days from then. After that the next bleed was 5weeks and 1 day, then 4 weeks and 3 days and 4 weeks .and now here we are ,4 weeks and af is due today.

We'd been TTC since my period seemed to have appeared again at the end of sept. I've no idea when I ovulate.i heard it can take months when stopping the pill but I know everyone is different. So was just having sex as regular and more in the middle of my cycle and since last cycle and cycle before were 4 weekish I was having sex from day 10 - day 16 at least !

It's been so so disappointing not getting pregnant and from last week I've had a few cramps and twinges plus slight back pain. I had cramps yesterday and today as well as sore boobs so I keep expecting af to show. I did a hpt which was bfn.. trying to remember how I felt with dd but she's 5 so I can't remember! I was young and didn't take any contraceptive and my periods wasn't something I paid attention to!!
Has anyone experienced period like symptoms when they were due and ended up actually being pregnant ?? Thanks ladies xxxxx

OP I didn't get a BFP until 5 days after AF was due, despite testing every day with the Clearblue monitor. I also had what I was convinced was horrendous PMT. I'm now 22 weeks pregnant! Good luck x

@Cali13 At least I can say I'm on CD1 I guess! So disappointing though - husband coping much better than I am with it all. He just looks forward to DTD. It's our first wedding anniversary next week actually which will set the scene quite nicely. Fx for you to get some clarity too! Xxx

@LP17 oh noooooo I'm so sorry !!! AF is such a bitch keeping u waiting like that. I'm just hoping mine is gonna come now if it's coming cuz it's so frustrating:((( at least u can have fun trying again this month Wink sending love to u and good luck with the baby making for next week :)) xxxx

@Cali13 I'm out - AF arrived with a vengeance in the night. Amazing how I had literally convinced myself this was it!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you testing at the weekend x

@ellsharks I feel the same :(( I think I'll wait until the weekend too , or at least try too! Cuz they are expensive if your buying the FR one or the CB ones ! Fingers crossed for us all 💕

Yeah i just want to know whats going on! My AF still hasn't showed, Its so frustratng lol! Feel like im in no mans land. Going to wait until Sunday until i test again, as waste of money otherwise xx

@herewegoagain56 ahh congratulations!! I actually think the cheap tests need to detect more of the HCG to get a positive and with my first I used a FR too :)) thank you xxx

@LP17 ohh I might order some OPK strips too - I haven't used them before so I may as well give it a go :))
I was the same I wasn't that bothered about having another child but I had gotten sooo broody so we decided to ttc . I will definitely have a read at that thread Smile I think I've done similar in the past !!
Ahh that's a good idea Grin it's so hard not to test - 2 days till Thursday ! You can do this!!xxxx

I kept getting negative tests for 4 days or so on those cheap internet tests. Finally bought a FRER and had a strong positive!! I’d recommend buying a First response test if you haven’t already

@Cali13 I agree - I wish I could be that relaxed! Funnily enough this time last year I would quite happily have waited another 4/5 years but all of a sudden in the autumn I started feeling broody (read: I cried looking at baby clothes in Sainsbury's!!!!).

I don't think there is such a thing as TMI on these boards don't worry Grin. I haven't tried any of the apps yet, I suppose they would be more accurate than the calendar so maybe I'll try one of those next month if I get a BFN on Thursday?? I ordered a pack of cheap OPK from Amazon, they were about 30 strips a pack, allegedly the same ones the NHS use. Still no sign of AF today. Confused If you are 13 DPO maybe wait another few days (3/4 days) and test again? I'm 16DPO today and waiting until 18DPO to re-test. It would appear some people implant later than others and HCG doesn't always show up until 4-5 days afterwards, even in FMU. So confusing. Currently drinking loads of water to make my wee completely useless so I don't get tempted to go out and buy more tests Grin whyyyyyy?!

@Cali13 I used Clue and I found it a bit rubbish when I actually got pregnant because without a period to put in it kept moving when my fertile period for the previous month had been and kept 'predicting' my period would start the next day i.e. kept moving it all along regardless of how late I was.

I wrote to the app about it because I think it is super confusing for anyone trying to use it for fertility.

Not much help in your current situation I know! Ovia I think is better having used both. Just wanted to share some sympathy for the confusion!

@LP17 I know I think when people aren't trying to get pregnant they aren't as stressed about it all and maybe that's why it seems so much easier for them. I'm using an app called clue which estimates OV but I know it's not going to be 100% .. I think I can usually tell by my cervical mucus when I ovulate (sorry tmi) but I'm flipping bone dry down there now Hmm which is quite unlike me . What OPK do you use ?
So since af is late the app says the last day of my fertile window was 13 days ago..
It's all so confusing Angry xxx

@holzyb20 ah and it showed up right after you'd been to the doctor !! Typical. I keep thinking I must be making myself imagine these symptoms now if I had another bfn. Sorry you didn't get your positive . Wishing u luck for this month Flowers xxx

@Cali13 It is, isn't it!!! My closest friends seem to have got pregnant on their first go which seems to be quite rare & I find it mind blowing when you look at what actually has to happen!

Last month I just used a calendar to estimate when I was going to be fertile & ovulate - that made us dtd every night 'just in case', it was a bit more relaxed this month as I used OPKs and was able to identify when I ovulated, which was not when the calendar suggested last month. However, I naively didn't consider the 2WW at all & it's potential to drive me insane.

How many DPO are you? Must be so hard trying to remember that far back - I suppose once you have a BFP so many other things must take over the memories in your head!

Hi, sorry to hear you are going through this I had the same last cycle I was 2 weeks late and was almost certain I was pregnant achey boobs, nauseous the lot but never got a positive pregnancy test! Went to the doctors had blood tests 2 days later AF turned up!

@LP17 that's a very strange symptom , I'm certain your leg won't fall off though GrinGrin I've had sore boobs too but it's kind of gone now so I have no idea what is happening ! I did a poundland test this morning which was negative Sad. I keep trying to think back to when I was pregnant with my little girl but we weren't really trying there and I didn't keep track of my cycles so I don't even know what made me test back then! Very frustrating this waiting game. Hope to hear some good news for u on ThursdaySmile xoxoxo
