Anyone on 2WW...starting mid-March

Anyone else about to start their 2WW?

TTC#1
Cycle 3
Ovulation date either 10/03 or 11/03, or maybe today (FF isn't sure yet...)
AF due 25/03

I used OPKs and did temping for the first time this month, I got a +OPK saturday morning and the following morning my temp had spiked. That seems a very quick turnaround to me...I thought it was usually around 2-3 days between the + and the temp going up?

All this stuff is so confusing! Remember those teen years when they told us how easy it was to get pregnant to scare us? They were full of shite Grin

Hi lovelies,

Hoping I can jump on the bus please! I’m 31 and this is month two of TTC#1. I’ve used OPKs for the first time this month; could you ladies help me confirm when I ovulated please?

The first pic is Fri (top) and Sat (bottom) and the second pic is yesterday. Do you think I ovulated Sat? And if so, do you think me & DH BDing on Sat morning will have been enough?

Thanks in advance! Xx

Thanks Owlpatrol and AaronPurrSir

A bit gutted that I won't have a little one in 2018/ before my next birthday. But early AF does mean that my cycle is shortening (yay!) and that I can Wine Gin when I go on holiday over Easter.

Fx for you two - bring on the BFPs!

AaronPurrSir · 19/03/2018 18:59

Oh no Jallebi! Fx April is your month Flowers

I’m due AF at the weekend, feel very tired, grumpy and sore boobs/womb but I feel like this around this time every month so I’m not getting my hopes up.

I very stupidly just did a test at 9DPO, after promising myself I’d be sensible this month Blush obviously it was a BFN. Gonna hold off until the end of the week now.

@Jallebi oh no what pants! Baby dust for next month lovely.

Feeling symtomless today as well as though my hormones have completely gone apart from a wave of nausea this afternoon which I have had before that's all!!

I'm only 7dpo though

Hands up anyone testing Wednesday, Thursday or Friday?

Jallebi · 19/03/2018 18:09

I have been feeling symptomless for the past few days, no twinges, no soreness, no nothing. Today AF arrived out of the blue, 5 days early.

Could explain why I didn't get a positive on the opk, I probably ovulated a week before expected.

I'm off to buy the Clearblue OPKs from amazon.

Sending baby dust to all!

Yukka · 19/03/2018 15:59

re tests i got a bulk back of Clearblue x 20 OPKs from amazon for £15.99 ( £46 quid in boots!) and 2 x 2FRER preg tests for about 13:99. They are more expensive but if I dont' buy them I will only end up panic buying them if I don't get the result I want to see from other ones!

its a whole bloody industry out there feeding off our baby lust!

I was just wondering, has anyone tried the Stork conception aid? We used it for the first time last night - it's costly - around £99 but if it works it'll be worth it. We found the condom bit quite thick and the whole thing quite fiddly but luckily DH is great with gadgets! And a lot of sperm stayed up there! Got my fingers and toes firmly crossed.

Good luck to all x

Celebelly · 19/03/2018 12:00

Two days of elevated temps so hoping I'll get the third day tomorrow and can confirm I ovulated when thought.

Fingers crossed for everyone testing - you aren't out till the witch shows!

AaronPurrSir · 19/03/2018 11:29

Only 9dpo so going to try and hold off testing until later in the week. Feeling very non-pregnant and negative today though!

No good news here - stark white FRER's since Sat & AF due mid-week. Hope it's a better outcome for everyone on here! x

Celebelly · 18/03/2018 21:08

I use those and they work well

What brand/where do you recommend getting internet pregnancy tests?
Have only used leading brand ones before, but want to reduce spending on tests this time.

Hello!

I'm 32, TTC#1 and this is cycle 3. Had a chem pregnancy cycle 1 so hopeful that I can at least get pregnant. Ovulated today so now it's the waiting game! AF due April 1.

fingers crossed for everyone! Hope we see some BFPs!

Hi Ladies,
I'm on the bus again after a break in feb as I was away during OV time.
Facts and figures are:
Age: 39 (ouch)
TTC #1
Cycle #8
Chemical x 2 Sept and Dec

I got a bit cranky last month with OPK's that weren't tallying up. I think the easiest to read is deff the Clearblue with smiley faces. Also my cycles after last chemical were wonky to say the least but seem to be back to standard 28 last month and this month. That said, wonky cycles is also a sympton of coming off Cerazette Progesterone only pill so I'm rolling with it . . .

We are following SMEP approach this month and throwing one extra in either side. DTD x3 more to go, today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Its not the most romantic that's for sure but as DH says 'we've just got to do it!'

fingers crossed for everyone this month. I have to say in hindsight taking a month off, whilst forced to do so, has reinvigorated both of us to crack on.

@Shk38 there's no right or wrong on when to test as early tests are available ( although for me with chemicals they were never positive until AF due date) and all women have their own view but the main thing is that tests can't really be considered wholly accurate until your AF due date. Perhaps try and save yourself the stress and wait. Equally, 'they say' that chemicals are very common (up to 50%) and we only know about them because we can test early, in previous decades the tech wasn't available. I'm a bit mixed on that, but having had two it gives me hope there is no issue with me/us. So this month, no testing till AF due date has firmly past!
xx

Shk38 · 18/03/2018 09:36

Hi.
I'm ttc #1
Cycle 2
Aged 38

Currently only tried OPK this month and randomly got the smiley face on the first POAS. Which was Tuesday. We DTD immediately then 48 hours later. So now 5DPO. I think I have 31 day cycle. Can I ask should I start testing after 2 weeks. March 28th. Or Should I wait for AF due date April 1st. I know it's only a few days but the wait is agonizing as you guys know.

Thanks for any advise
X

AaronPurrSir · 18/03/2018 09:22

I’m 8DPO and have really sore boobs. My BBT massively dropped this morning, which apparently can be a sign of implantation. I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much though!

Owlpatrol · 17/03/2018 19:04

@Slou14 ah yes it's a long two weeks but welcome and you've come to the right place!

I shamefully did an opk today just to see two lines that's what delusion of 15 months does to you Hmm I'm trying to stay positive though I'm about 5dpo...got sore boobs, bowl movement (sorry tmi) and vivid dreams so mostly pointing to af coming but this next week is going to be a long wait l think I'll text next Wednesday anyway!

Slou14 · 17/03/2018 18:38

Hi,
26
TTC #1
Cycle 1
CD 24

Complete newbie here! Smile
I've been tracking my cycles using natural cycles since Jan. According to the app, I ovulated on CD 20 which is a bit later than usual. We DTD on that day and then I had some fairly heavy brown spotting for 3 days after that. Today is the first day of no spotting since then but I am starting to experience some AF symptoms (tingly boobs, vivid dreams, slight cramping, feeling irritated) even though AF is not expected until 27/3/18. It's going to be a long two weeks...!

Thinking of testing next weekend with FRER when I'll be 10 days dpo. This is my first month and already I'm starting to go a little mad!Confused
Wishing you all luck Star xxx

AaronPurrSir · 14/03/2018 22:02

Tefiti sorry about your chemical Flowers

I know what you mean about being fed up with sex. I was quite relieved when ov was well and truly over and I could have a break!

AF due 26th March

Going to really try not to obsess this month (haha who am I kidding?!). Have done SMEP with the Clearblue digital OV test this month, and have to say that I am really fed up of sex!! 😂

PassTheAfterEights · 14/03/2018 12:50

On the £ front - last month was an absolute wake up call, 10 one-line FRER's in the bin (used an amazon voucher for 4 of them, but still). Never again. Realise I have a POAS addiction & rather than go cold turkey bought the one-step cheapies for 15p each. Peed to my heart's content, barely even checking the outcome. So far haven't felt the smallest inclination to buy a FRER - will treat myself to one at 11dpo.

Owlpatrol · 13/03/2018 19:28

@AaronPurrSir thanks for the thread I'll hop on!

I'm approx 2dpo lol I got a positive opk Sunday night and had ovulation symptoms since so I think I'm around 2dpo. I use cheapie opks and they've been spot on for me.

Got a stash of ic tests I plan to start using may be next Wednesday or Thursday lol I'll be around 10dpo as who am I kidding I always test early these days as it softens the blow! If not pregnant this month booking a dr app

Good luck ladies xx
