Anyone else about to start their 2WW?

TTC#1
Cycle 3
Ovulation date either 10/03 or 11/03, or maybe today (FF isn't sure yet...)
AF due 25/03

I used OPKs and did temping for the first time this month, I got a +OPK saturday morning and the following morning my temp had spiked. That seems a very quick turnaround to me...I thought it was usually around 2-3 days between the + and the temp going up?

All this stuff is so confusing! Remember those teen years when they told us how easy it was to get pregnant to scare us? They were full of shite Grin

The first of many I hope!

Ovulated Sa
I felt hit like a bus exhausted Sun
Felt implantation Tues (I know, technically too early)
Today Wed intermittant nausea and falling asleep on sofa 8.30pm

Another few days before I can test!

AaronPurrSir · 21/03/2018 22:15

@happythoughts7 it still doesn’t seem real! I was going to wait until tomorrow morning but it was all I could think about this afternoon. I had a tiny amount of spotting yesterday which isn’t normal for me, and I’ve felt weird shooting pains. Something just felt a bit different. Glad I did it tonight as it’s given me the evening to get my head round it a bit, rather than doing it tomorrow then going straight to work!

Ahhh congratulations @AaronPurrSir, that’s a fab line! Has it started to sink it yet? What made you decide to test today, aside from the desperate need to pee on anything that we go through each 2WW?! Xx

AaronPurrSir · 21/03/2018 18:55

Thank you! Slightly freaking out over here Grin

@mammyoftwo I think that's fair enough.

This is our first month, but it's taken us over a year to get to this stage. I've got arthritis and was taking some quite heavy duty medication for that, which I had to come off slowly and allow it to completely leave my system before trying, so it feels like we've been waiting for ages to get to this point.

We're trying to be as methodical as possible from the outset to maximise our chances, as the longer it takes the longer I'll be off my meds (which isn't much fun). My consultant said that some women go into remission during pregnancy so I am keeping my fingers crossed for that! Trying not to obsess too much in the meantime! Smile

mammyoftwo · 21/03/2018 11:40

thanks for info re: rests, have just ordered some cassettes and clearblue. just wanted to let others know that amazon currently has a 30 day free prime trial (next day delivery free!), just cancel before the end of the 30 day free trial and you won't have any chargers incurred for subsequent months.

have been posting on a different thread re: what I've been experiencing (ovulation and what I think is implanation), but think I'll stick on this one for now. can't always get to phone during day but will try and pop in once a day. wishing everyone well :)

for pp who said it is their first month trying, maybe it's worth starting with a more relaxed approach (just have sex every two to three days, for six months, and see how you get on). am just thinking that if you start off with testing for ovulation etc you're starting from a placed of heightened anxiety, which could affect possibility of conception. don't mean to sound rude or unwelcoming, just don't want you starting from a place of stress. it might happen more easily with less focus on it, first time round. hope that's ok to post.

poblwc · 21/03/2018 11:10

Ack! So AF not due until 28/03ish (but have only just come off the pill so who knows). Think I'm 8/9ish dpo and I've had light cramping last night and this morning with very pale pink/turning brown spotting.

Very likely that I am just fooling myself and AF is just early, but could it be implantation bleeding? Any thoughts?

lolacola13 · 20/03/2018 22:51

Sorry to jump on board here any info helps . First baby that we've actively tried for. 13 dpo... cervix high and closed I think ( well as closed as it's gonna be after two deliveries ) but I have the strangest cm . It's pure white . Like paint. Brilliant white I would call it if were sticking with the paint theme 😂🙈. Should I get my hopes up. Period expected anytime from today to Friday it varies by a day or two . So I dont even know when I'm late. Help me from my insanity googling!

Jallebi · 20/03/2018 21:43

@Tefiti2 - I did start the process of joining the trial, but then chickened out. From what I gathered it, if you are assigned the control arm you can't use any opks. With my cycle shortening, that's not really a risk I want to take in April. Plus DH and I will be in different cities in May, so April becomes even more important. Have you been assigned an arm yet?

@AaronPurrSir I second Yukka definitely sounds like implantation bleed. Fx

Yukka · 20/03/2018 20:07

@aaron could be implantation bleed if af due soon? Doesn't happen to everyone but possible :)

poblwc · 20/03/2018 18:57

Hi @Slou14 Smile - yep - I always struggle to think of screen names!

Sore boobs are the worst - hopefully it's a good sign!

Slou14 · 20/03/2018 18:42

Hi @poblwc ! Love the name - cymraes?

Currently on 7dpo. Thinking of testing with FRER on Saturday? Trying not to test too early...! Boobs are really sore but AF is due in a week and this is normal for me. FX to everyone!✨✨✨

poblwc · 20/03/2018 18:35

Oops! That should say BFPs... I've never been any good with anagrams! Blush

poblwc · 20/03/2018 18:31

Evening all! Hope I'm ok to join in? Smile

I think I ovulated around 14/03 and AF is due around 28/03 - but who knows really as I've only just come off the pill after 10 years of it.

I'm very new to this, so it's really nice to see lots of lovely, supportive people out there. I know I'm going to drive DH mad!

Fx for you all, hope there are lots of BPNs this month.

X

Kentishgal · 20/03/2018 18:17

Hello, totally new to this but hope it's ok if I join in!

TTC no.2 - on 3rd cycle. I think I ovulated on 13 March and AF due on 29 March. Desperately symptom spotting - I'm so impatient! It took a year to conceive our first but I still don't remember getting this stressed about it! But then I'm 35 now and worried about being a bit older. Trying to hold off testing for as long as poss as last two months I got really addicted!

Tefiti2 · 20/03/2018 15:55

@owlpatrol testing on Friday here! Slightly ambitious as I’ll be 10dpo but I just can’t resist. Had some sharp cramps this morning but I’m totally over thinking everything!
Sorry @jallebi for AF! Would you be eligible for the clinical trial with Clearblue? Have a look on the product tests page for it- they emailed me today saying they’re still looking for participants.

AaronPurrSir · 20/03/2018 15:40

Hmm just had a tiny amount of brown spotting...AF not due til Sat/Sun so definitely too early. This is a new one for me, never had this before!

OP posts:
HappyThoughts7 · 19/03/2018 21:29

Thanks @Owlpatrol; I thought it was the case that it could be in the following couple of days, but unfortunately we haven’t have a chance to BD yesterday or today, and I did an opk today that was negative so fx crossed Sat was enough.

Fx crossed for you later this week. Xx

Owlpatrol · 19/03/2018 20:28

The only thing with a positive opk @HappyThoughts7 is you can ovulate 12-36 hours after the positive so anytime up to today really! However it's good timing because the sperms have to be there prior xx

HappyThoughts7 · 19/03/2018 19:59

Thanks @AaronPurrSir - fingers crossed it was enough & fx crossed that AF stays away for you. Xx

AaronPurrSir · 19/03/2018 19:31

Happythoughts7 I would say Saturday, as the test line and control line are the same level of darkness. Hopefully the Saturday morning session caught it!
