Hoping to find some ladies in a similar situation to either help keep the crazy at bay... or provide company to safely let it out! Grin

DH and I had planned to wait until May-ish to start trying for #2. Our DD is 15.5 months and we are due to complete on our new house next month so wanted to wait. I am still BF but only a couple of times a day. Periods returned at 8 months and have been every 29-33 days since. Downloaded the sodding Ovia app last month, "just to start monitoring my cycles"... instead I am already devoting an unhealthy amount of time to staring at it and subsequently became fixated about DTD on my ovulation day (usually around CD18-20). Successfully managed to seduce DH during DD’s nap this weekend on CD18 and am now descending into madness checking CM and wondering about every minor twinge! Blush

So I guess we are now officially TTC! The madness, upset and hoping begins again!

Please tell me there are some of you in the same boat?!

@HidCat
Yes, the clear and simple ones. Will look forward to trying them out!Grin

CherryO88 · 04/04/2018 17:38

SO I’ve still been getting a good bit of what looks like fertile CM even though I’m technically 2 days late for AF. Took an opk and got the strongest, no doubting it, positive I’ve ever had! So back to DTD tonight and hopefully for the next few days. Didn’t think I’d be back in the 2ww so long!

8DaysAWeek · 04/04/2018 16:48

2ww is so shit isn't it MaGra!

Haha make the most of the child-free days MrsB!

MaGratgarlik1983 · 04/04/2018 16:21

Arggh still no af! Felt so crampy last night I had wine as BFN. Arggh. Don't know what to think!

ImMrsBrightside · 04/04/2018 15:26

I am still keeping all crossed for you Fifi! When will you test again?

Hi Russ as I am aware most of the group, if not all, are TTC #2 naturally, but don’t let that put you off! We may not be able to offer specific advice but please do join us for tea, cake and craziness! Also, I am not sure about other posters – I am 35 and after 16 months with DD I must look at least 20 years older! I swear I have wrinkles and bags like never before!

Yass I am sorry to hear about your MC. I hope you find some support here and that you are up the duff again ASAP!

Your post made me laugh Kintan - I wonder how long before you add the app back again?! Wink

Hoping they are genuine symptoms Leighanndancer and not AF!

Let me know how temping goes 8Days. I have never tried because my sleep is so erratic, with or without the toddler!

I am now CD12. Ovia says next Tues is my most fertile day, Clue says Weds. Based on nothing but past CM I say it is actually Thurs which is CD20. I am planning to seduce DH in between painting walls and unpacking. Hoping to manage to do it every day as even with the work we need to do to move in, DD will be doing extra days at nursery so we will be all alone in the new house! I am hoping for some daytime action amidst the boxes and dustsheets Grin

@Naschkatze are they the clear and simple ones? If so I've always used those and never had a false positive. They've been reliable for me.

Naschkatze · 03/04/2018 22:35

80days I hear you. DS has woken up 4 times already this evening Hmm

Fifi I bought cheap tests in Wilko! They look like they are pink dye from the packaging. Anyone ever tried them?!

8DaysAWeek · 03/04/2018 20:28

Fifi amazing!!!! With DS I had a super faint positive on a cheapie for my bfp Grin loving seeing some positive news here!!

AF has just finished. It was pretty bad on Sunday and I felt crap but actually it was a day shorter than it was pre-DS.

Started temping this month. Not sure if there's even a point cos I'm literally up every hour with DS. He's slept in bed with me the past week. Getting a bit concerned about the logistics of TTC with a Velcro toddler tbh!!

Leighanndancer · 03/04/2018 19:59

It’s so hard trying to distract myself from all the ‘symptoms’ which I’m convinced are AF getting ready to grace me with her presence. Hmm

Kintan · 03/04/2018 17:57

Ooh congrats on the BFPs! How exciting :) Well I'm in the dreaded 2ww. I've actually deleted the fertility friends app from my phone so I can't keep checking how many DPO I am haha.

YassQueen · 03/04/2018 17:36

Hello hope it's ok to join, I'm on the other TTC #2 threads but thought I'd join this one too Grin

Age: 23
DC: DD - 4 next week Shock )
Cycle: I can never remember. Cycle 2 post-mc. MC at 6 weeks in February.

Russkispy · 03/04/2018 17:34

Hi ladies, can I join you. TTC for #2. Our DD is almost 10 months and our little miracle through IUI. With Clomid and Ovitrelle' from the first try! I was 40 then! I’ll be 42 in 2 weeks! Am I the most ancient mama on here?
Anyway, last month went home for polyp removal and endo scratch, suffice to say, we didn’t do but went for IUI instead. My dr warned me of IUI failure but we still went for it. And it was BFN. Gutted but knew it might not work. Just got back from home where my dr removed the polyp and I had endo scratch! That happened on CD9. We DTD yesterday and I’ve only just realised I’m in the middle of fertile window, ovulation usually happens cd14-16. I’m on CD14. Do we have a chance of falling pregnant this cycle? Or too soon after the scratch? Has anybody had experience with endo scratch?
We’re also booked for another IUI end of this month.
Wondering if you all TTC naturally and I might be on the wrong thread?
We tried naturally for 3 months and didn’t work. And because of my ancient age and not having time on my side, we’re opting for IUI, and potentially IVF. and me being inpatient too.

Fififiesta · 03/04/2018 17:20

Oh that's good news MrsBrightside though it was 1.5 years past its use by date so I'm not taking it as a sign of good news just yet and need to buy more tests

Why are tests so expensive anyway...

Naschkatze · 03/04/2018 16:46

Congratulations Kurly and Fifi! Great news!
These early weeks are such an odd feeling but fingers crossed for healthy, sticky beans!

I need to take the advice to WAIT to test. I couldn’t cope with the stress. I suppose it’s a good thing I never really know when AF is due!!

ImMrsBrightside · 03/04/2018 16:41

SORRY! I meant that the other way round - as in they ARE sensitive! Blush So should be a good thing that it has picked it up!

OP posts:
Fififiesta · 03/04/2018 16:14

Are clear blue not very sensitive?? I heard the opposite that they give a lot of false positives (evap lines) so really not trying to get my hopes up.

Just taken another look at this mornings cheap test which has obviously faded, to give you an idea of how faint it was both lines have faded and so the test line isnt visible Confused it was definitely there this morning! Will have to test again in a couple of days to see if there is a line getting stronger.

New house is very exciting MrsBrightside which areas are you going to be working on first?

ImMrsBrightside · 03/04/2018 15:31

OMG!!!!!!!! I fall off the tread for a few days with tonsillitis and come back to not one but TWO BFPs!!! Bloody brilliant! Crossing all for healthy beans Fifi and Kurly! I second what others have said about Clearblues not being that sensitive, so defo a good sign that you got a positive!

Commiserations, cake and gin to all those with AF.

And welcome all the new posters!

I am in the boring bit of my cycle now. Fertile week starts next week just in time for moving and renovating/painting the new house! I have been so preoccupied with planning for the new house and being ill, that I haven’t really thought about TTC much… No doubt that will soon change! Give me a week and I will either be obsessing over pregnancy symptoms or binge eating all the leftover Easter eggs as we didn’t manage to DTD enough!

Fx @leighanndancer!
Af due last Sat if I oved on time, but I think I oved late putting it at Thursday or Friday this week @fifi. Just took this one...

Anyone else starting to TTC #2? Promised they wouldn't go crazy and already becoming a woman obsessed?!?! Please join me!
Leighanndancer · 03/04/2018 13:49

I’m 38 and TTC #2 had an early MC last year and finally plucked up the courage to start trying again this month.
Only managed it once due to busy schedule and not really tracking ovulation etc.
Know I’m on a 27 day cycle and we did the baby dance on day 9
Had a few symptoms but they could be associated with AF which will be next week.
Boobs really sore and earlier than usual, funny taste in mouth all day Sunday and feeling full after even small amount of food.
Keeping everything crossed that we have a BFP in the near future

CherryO88 · 03/04/2018 12:38

I agree kurly this time round I’ve been so much worse than with DD. Feeling so disappointed when I don’t even know my cycle yet, crazy but there’s always that wee hope it could happen haha!
I’ve actually just done a opk because even though I’m due AF I’m getting lots of fertile cm yesterday and today. Negative though. I think it’ll be a few months before my cycles return to normal and I can track again.
Congrats Fifi! Fingers crossed for you x

Fififiesta · 03/04/2018 09:19

MaGrat I'm sorry to hear you have had no luck, when is AF due?

I know that I have tested early and that the line is a squinter but I am all to familiar with the possibilities from here of chemical pregnancy or miscarriage I definitely wont be relaxing or celebrating for a while. But it is a glimmer of hope.

KurlyWurly88 · 03/04/2018 09:12

Awww - thank you ladies! I’m still holding breath, and waiting for a strong positive. My brain is still processing and not allowing to fully accept it yet. It’s a weird feeling.

DEFINITELY wait to test if you can, this has been a lot more stressful than the first time around! Just over 3 years ago now, not being too sure when to expect AF after the pill - I tested a WHOLE week until after withdrawal bleed ‘should’ have been and got such a strong line that I was never in any doubt. It was a shock and the best surprise.

This time I’ve been second guessing myself since estimated O day Hmm these last few months and not sure of my body at all. And feeling gutted when the bfn came up (again and again). Wait, wait, wait if you can! Easier said I know!!!

Hopefully smooth sailing now! Wishing babydust to everyone on the thread, you’ve been a great support for my craziness!

MaGratgarlik1983 · 03/04/2018 09:08

Congratulations @fifi!!i thought I'd POAS with an old clearblue digital this morning, BFN in words is so disheartening!

Fififiesta · 03/04/2018 08:26

So at 6am I thought I'd try a test just some cheap ones I bought online, AF due Friday at earliest.

Thought I might have seen something so woke DH up (sounds mean but he had to get up anyway!) he was convinced it was nothing.

So in TTC-crazy-style Grin I dug out a very old clear blue test which went out of date over a year ago which looked POSITIVE...

...but then faded very quickly and I know they get lots of evap lines so we just forgot about it and got on with our morning.Sad

I went back to the bathroom about 2 hours later and saw I had left my little pot of wee on the bathroom top Blush I think I got overrexcited and forgot!

DH was busy trying to get us all out of the house so I did what any sensible TTCer would do and...grabbed another internet stick and tested again with the same wee Wink

It's only bloody positive isnt it.

Fififiesta · 02/04/2018 21:06

Congratulations Kurly, wonderful news!!

Cherry sorry you are out I dont know who these women are that get a BFP first time either but I want to know their secret!!! Grin

Happy sorry to hear you are out this month, try an OPK! I am BFing but it helped to know that I got a positive OPK tho you never know if you ovulate or not really...

No AF and my cramps which were really quite bad have gone away just mild now if anything. Confused AF is due at the weekend and is never early but often late. ConfusedConfused
