TTC #2 - March BFPs

Cariad2017 · 23/02/2018 19:54

If you’re ttc #2 and due your AF/ BFP in March then this is the bus for you.

For my sins, I’m a bit of a veteran of the ttc circuit, and ironically if we get a BFP this month, my EDD is likely to be DS’s 3rd Birthday. Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
Cycle: 18 (without a hint of a BFP - yawn)
AF due: 15 March
DS: Aged 2

Desperately hoping to invoke the law of sod this month as we have a fertility clinic appointment on 26 March to get the ball rolling on IVF. You have no idea how much I’d love to cancel it!

@LopeyLopez - I'm glad seeing the BFPs gives you hope. I have been feeling bad about coming on here and immediately getting pregnant when so many people are having such a rough time.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone. I took another test this morning and it came up darker and faster so I am feeling like it's a bit more real. Fingers crossed everything continues well.

Hoping everyone has a lovely Mothers' Day today and that there are lots more BFPs to come soon xx

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 07:48

Violet hi there and good luck lovely!

Violet1988 · 11/03/2018 07:31

Hi currently cycle 5 TTC #2. DS is 21 months an breastfed, AF came back at 17 months pp. Nightweaned this cycle so hoping that will make some difference to my luteal phase which is currently averaging at 8 days. AF due 23rd march an i turn 30 on the 15th. Good luck to everyone x

TwittleBee · 11/03/2018 07:06

Ah yeah that is interesting to look at!

I did try plotting temp but it didn't work for me. Think it's because DS wakes up during night still sometimes or I wake up early for work

Happy Mothers day all Flowers you're all such brilliant mummies

CatRen27 · 11/03/2018 00:01

twittlebee yeah i spotted on and off from cd10-15 then ovulated on cd17. I never really get true positives on opks so know i ov'd by temping. Could still be coming!

Attached my chart fyi

TwittleBee · 10/03/2018 22:39

fifi totally understand! Major sympathy for you with AF in full flow. Glad OH got you goodies at least. Fingers crossed for next month lovely.

CatRen ooo glad you mentioned that! I had a bit of spotting today, cramping like crazy and so though ovulation must be happening. Still negative on OPKs though. So I guess it's just all happening before? CD16 today though so really thought that would have happened by now

CatRen27 · 10/03/2018 21:48

Sorry you're out fifi, i totally agree.. as my dd is about to turn 3 i certainly don't want to wish away the time. Fx for you next month, and hope dh starts to understand how much of an emotional strain this all is Cake

peanut I've started spotting just before ovulation, which I'd describe as a light period as there was loads. Could it be this?

Fififiesta · 10/03/2018 21:27

Best of luck peanut - at least your dr is taking things seriously.

I'm definitely out, AF has arrived with a bang this afternoon. Had a long sob on DH mascara everywhere. He doesnt get it, thinks I should just keep hoping and stay positive, I know thats what I need to do but at the moment when AF arrives and I am full of hormones it feels like the world is ending. He did have the good sense to buy chocolate and wine though so all is forgiven Grin Just hope the next 4 weeks go quickly.

Anyone else torn between wanting the TTC time to fly by and wanting time to stop as DC#1 is growing up at the speed of light????

TwittleBee · 10/03/2018 17:40

Peanut good luck with that NHS appointment, really hope it isn't too long of a wait! How strange with what's going on for you and super frustrating too.

Run out of OPKs so went and picked some up with OH and he nearly had a heart attack at the price hahaha.

Peanut1980 · 10/03/2018 17:32

Congratulations @badbadbeans xxx

I’m out for this month I think. I have no idea what my body is going at the moment. Was due to ovulate this week but seem to be having a light period so don’t think I’ve ovulated which would be a first for me. Saw the docs about my bleeding after DTD. She did an internal (joy!) and sent off some swabs for tests. Also being referred for a scan to see if they’re are any polyps or fibroids. I don’t think they’ll find anything as I had some fertility tests done in November and I’m sure anything like that would have come up then. I had two types of internal scans. So my body is quite the lady of mystery at the moment. Hopefully will settle down or can resolve with these other scans. Just have to wait for an NHS appointment 👀⏰

Good luck to everyone else still holding out for a bfp 🤞😘

YassQueen · 10/03/2018 17:08

Thank you for the kind words [flower] I feel a bit daft having taken so much off (as if 2 weeks is a long time) but I work for an ambulance service so we do deal with miscarriages, I've had to deliver a baby over the phone before and I'm not sure how I'd cope with that at the moment so I think time out is the best bet.

Fififiesta · 10/03/2018 13:15

Thanks everyone. The stats about it taking a while help but I'm already wondering what is wrong with me, am I infertile, will it only ever be the three of us etc I am a worrier anyway. I just want this so much.

LopeyLopez · 10/03/2018 12:26

Massive congratulations fountain and bad - gives me lots of hope and always lovely to see BFPs on here 😊

Happy and healthy 9 months to you both xxx

Knittinggurl · 10/03/2018 10:47

@BadBadBeans huge congratulations on your BFP - what wonderful news!

BadBadBeans · 10/03/2018 10:05

Twitter - Top work on DTD - hope it was the lucky one and worth the effort!

Fifi - I'm so sorry that you feel awful. Does it help at all to read those stats about it being normal to take a while, even with regular sex? You are totally within your rights to feel sad and have a cry. It's so frustrating that when you are completely ready to be pregnant, you can't just choose to be.

Paranormal - yep I think my husband needs a strong line or, you know, a 12 week scan before he will be on board...! I did speak to him about it this morning and he said he wasn't going to get excited yet because it's so early, but that obviously he was pleased that things have at least started. I get that. I've not bothered taking a test again this morning because it won't change anything!

June - so horrid to have your body adding extra confusion to the situation. Really hope everything settles back into some kind of order soon. And wow, six years for your DD. That must have been incredibly hard. She must be extra specially precious.

Yass- so sorry you're struggling. Do you have support? Take it as easy as you can.

TwittleBee · 10/03/2018 06:40

We actually managed to DTD last night woop! Paying for it now as so tired.

FountainOfYouth · 09/03/2018 21:11

Thanks for all the nice messages, and huge congratulations to you @BadBadBeans!

Best of luck to anyone waiting to test, and fingers crossed next month for anyone who is out for March xx

Boboelephant · 09/03/2018 17:07

Hope you get a chance tomorrow morning @TwittleBee! It can be hard when DC come wandering in!
Sorry it looks like you're out @Fififiesta. You arent doing anything wrong. It's so totally random. I also got pregnant without thinking about it with my DS and have been trying for 18 months for number 2 with 2 losses. Unfortunately there seems to be no pattern. Don't give up!
Rest up @YassQueen. Take as long as you need.
I'm 6dpo here and can feel the craziness kicking in!!

TwittleBee · 09/03/2018 14:31

Fifi you aren't being over dramatic at all, it is such an emotional toll TTC!

Bless you Yas please take care of yourself, sending you so much love

June so frustrating and confusing! why are our bodies so strange! urgh! Hope you get some sort of regularity back or a BFP!

Paranormalbouquet · 09/03/2018 13:48

@YassQueen I went back way too soon. Last miscarriage was physically easy enough and I worked through it.

This time I went back to work a day after discovering MMC, ended up passing sac at work (a hospital at least!) 2 weeks later, then took a few days with infection as I was feeling so unwell and went back properly straight after ERPC. I really wasn’t ready though, couldn’t focus properly and was very inefficient. I wish I’d taken more time. Take as much as you need.

MynameisJune · 09/03/2018 13:42

@fifi you aren’t being over dramatic. I remember when my sister announced her surprise pregnancy. We’d been trying for around 3 years at that point. I made it through the phone call with her and then basically slid down my kitchen cupboards and cried for ages. Just let yourself feel however you need to. There is no right or wrong way to deal with it.

@yass so sorry for your loss. I had an early loss in Oct last year. Went back to work the next day, I have no idea what I was thinking. Take care of yourself.

Fififiesta · 09/03/2018 13:37

Thanks everyone. I have had something to eat so I'm feeling a bit better. It is crap and it is not having any control over it that is the worst part. I am very aware that I am being overly dramatic because many women have it worse than me, I blame the hormones. But I also feel like I need to be sad for a while. I want this so much.

YassQueen · 09/03/2018 13:36

I've been delaying using an OPK. The thought of peeing on a stick makes me feel sick at the moment. I had a breakdown at work so now I'm off again, 2 weeks post mc was too soon for me to go back to that job. I want to hide away from the world but I'm desperate to be pregnant again and for everything to be ok.

MynameisJune · 09/03/2018 13:26

@fifi you most definitely are not doing anything wrong. TTC is just a lottery or like playing bingo. Some people win really easily and multiple times. Others have to wait ages to win and only ever once or twice. TTC is also so hard because we don’t have any control over it. Have a good cry, I also intend to sob my eyes out when DD has gone to bed. DD took 6 years, but we got her eventually and she was worth the wait. You’ll get there too.

As for me, no idea what my body is doing. I think I got my hopes up because my boobs have started leaking. One of them I still expect to leak but the other one has never leaked since DD stopped feeding from it over 18 months ago. They are also huge, they usually inflate a bit during tww but go back down a few days before af. I’m so confused, and so annoyed that after months of normal cycles this one is going wonky again.

Fififiesta · 09/03/2018 13:10

Paranormal It is shit. Truly shit. I've had a previous early MC so even if I do get pregnant I have to stay pregnant but I can't even get pregnant at the moment so Sad. 4 weeks is so long to wait and hope and hope and hope.
