TTC #2 - March BFPs

Cariad2017 · 23/02/2018 19:54

If you’re ttc #2 and due your AF/ BFP in March then this is the bus for you.

For my sins, I’m a bit of a veteran of the ttc circuit, and ironically if we get a BFP this month, my EDD is likely to be DS’s 3rd Birthday. Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
Cycle: 18 (without a hint of a BFP - yawn)
AF due: 15 March
DS: Aged 2

Desperately hoping to invoke the law of sod this month as we have a fertility clinic appointment on 26 March to get the ball rolling on IVF. You have no idea how much I’d love to cancel it!

Sorry to hear so many are out this month, best of luck for April ladies.

Lopey i think you're taking such a great approach, healthy living has got to be a help and either way you'll feel (and look?!) much happier. I really hope next month is for you.

Im 2dpo so mynameis i think we're poas buddies. I'm due af on 15 Mar - you? I'm going to do my very very best to wait until that date to test. But you know me, impatient to the core..

I've been temping like a hero this month though, and I think the process of 'doing something' every day that gives me a fancy chart is making me feel more in control. Crazy i know..! Also been running more and trying to eat well so hopefully it helps

Good luck to those of us still in the game for this month and welcome newbies xxx

Funkyemzie · 04/03/2018 16:54

Aww @Fififiesta keep my fingers firmly crossed for you!

@Lopey I've started back climbing today and started back MMA and ju-juitzu last week, my goodness i cant believe how unfit i have become! I was running rings round the young ones before and i cant even keep up with the older lads now! I swear ive done myself a mischief at climbing today too.

Still, like PP said, you feel so much better for it, the endorphins are so high I've cleaned the house top to bottom today as well! Endorphins at the moment are a welcome happiness source.

So deeply sorry to everyone who hasn't got their BFP this month its so sad. Unfortunately I'm still bleeding, it's been over 3 weeks now so don't know what will happen for March. ☹

Fififiesta · 04/03/2018 16:14

Thank you Bobo so I guess right now if I'm 9DPO! Crossing everything but trying not to get my hope up even though it is ceiling height currently.

Boboelephant · 04/03/2018 16:09

Thanks BadBadBeans and Fififiesta 😀

Great attitude Lopey!

Ooh I'd be testing too slippynips! Good luck!

Fifi and Fountain they say implantation can happen between day 6 and 12 although even later for some. Also only about 20% have implantation bleeding so I wouldn't worry if you don't. I never did.

Good luck Yass. I used them this month- trying to sort out body after mc too. I found them helpful- although something else for me to obsess over 😂

I ovulated yesterday so am officially now in the 2ww. Keeping everything crossed for March!

Fififiesta · 04/03/2018 15:40

Yass that sounds like a good idea, tell us how you get on, but dont be disheartened if it doesnt go well. I got no positive OPK the month I conceived DC1!

YassQueen · 04/03/2018 15:35

I'm going to bite the bullet and use an OPK today. No idea when I'm likely to ovulate after miscarriage so at least I'll get an idea of where I'm at in my cycle.

Fififiesta · 04/03/2018 13:50

Welcome Bobo and Slippynips

Slippynips get testing!!!

Lopey - what a fantastic attitude!

I am struggling with the waiting and the disappointment factor big time. I am also struggling to feel like myself again since DC. There just seems to be no time for anything other than cleaning and tidying, think I need to take a leaf out of Lopey's book!

The good news is the weather is OKish again so we can finally get out of the house I have plans to go for a coffee with a friend tomorrow has cheered me up.

I'm still hanging on in there, now cycle day 20-22 (who knows) and not feeling so irrational today haven't got stupidly cross at DH for anything wooohoooo!!

I think I am now 9DPO, when does implantation happen?

FountainOfYouth · 04/03/2018 13:30

Well a little update:
I am 10 DPO, have had sore boobs for several days now and feel unusually hormonal.
Period is not due for another 7 days but stupidly I couldn't resist POAS this morning...result is not pregnant (of course). Didn't say anything to DH.
If I'm lucky there could be implantation happening around now, am I right in saying that happens at 10 DPO or so? Haven't noticed any spotting so far though.
I have two tests left so holding out until next Friday or so to test again.

Hats off to you who are keeping healthy and fit. I am not being disciplined with food or exercise, this snow has me eating rings around myself. But if I get my period next Sunday I will go on a proper health kick.

slippynips · 04/03/2018 13:14

Hi ladies, I’m joining this thread

Age - 27
TTC #2
Cycle #2 following miscarriage in December
DS is 2

AF should have arrived Friday and no signs yet, although my cycle was all off last month after miscarriage so may not have the dates quite right. I’ve got a lot of wet cm and sore boobs which I don’t usually get but I’m trying not to get my hopes up as I was convinced I was pregnant last month and wasn’t. I have some FRERs but am too scared to test at the moment in case it’s negative! Good luck to all of you

BadBadBeans · 04/03/2018 10:47

Gosh, there's been a lot of heartbreak for people on this thread already. You are all so positive. Very inspiring. Lopey yep the nice thing about getting fit and healthy is that it gives you a positive outcome no matter what happens with ttc. And I just find that when I eat well and exercise well I feel so GOOD. And full of energy! Keep up the good work!

Welcome Bobo.

Well I'm on roughly cd 25. Starving hungry today but I don't think that hunger is an early sign, is it? I feel totally normal other than that. (Well, other than my stinking cold, anyway.) Funny, I didn't think I'd be itching to test... But of course I am! AF is due around Thu/Fri this week so I'll test if she's not paid me a call by Saturday.

LopeyLopez · 04/03/2018 08:00

Thanks all for your kind words and support. Hello newbies. Good luck Fifi - thank goodness someone is still in!

This is so frustrating and I feel a great sense of numbness these days even before the onset of af, when it gets to that point where I'm pretty sure I'm out (I.e. yesterday). However, I find the depression does not last as long and I get more positive again sooner. Maybe I'm just getting used to the disappointment....!

So, with positivity in mind, I've decided to keep up all the good things I have been doing since around mid-Jan (no alcohol, no caffeine, much less sugar, loads of fruits and veggies and nuts and seeds, more exercise....) and carry on til summer (3 - 4 more months), and then pay to go private. Then I'll have more time to sort it all out and investigate with the summer holidays being around; at the moment I just can't find time for appointments and so on with work. It will also give the healthy living approach a bit more time to work.....and if it does not, well at least I'll be glowing with health and several kg lighter!!

Boboelephant · 03/03/2018 22:24

Hello all, can I join please?

Age: 35
Cycle: who knows? #3 since a MMC which took 9 cycles to get. Ectopic before that. So about 18 months trying for #2.
DS- 2.5
AF (hopefully BFP) due 17th March

Good luck to everyone. Sorry for those who are out.

TwittleBee · 03/03/2018 21:18

Lopez and newmama so sorry to hear you're both out. Fingers are crossed April will be your months for BFPs xx

June I find have 2 lots of EWCM most cycles! No clue why. Finally gonna get round to using OPKs this cycle though. Hopefully in all the confusion this cycle turns out to be your lucky one.

Fififiesta hopefully you're not out!

newmama2018 · 03/03/2018 20:04

I'm out😥

What day do people start using opks? I ovulate anywhere between cd4 and cd20 and usually get 2/3 positives so not sure I'm doing It right.

Fififiesta · 03/03/2018 19:47

Sorry to hear that some of you are out this cycle.

I'm - I think - 7-9 DPO and feeling very irritable and unreasonable so I'm guessing AF is on her way this cycle too.

I know it's only cycle 2 but think we are in this for the long run Sad

MynameisJune · 03/03/2018 18:57

So sorry you’re spotting @lopey it sucks so much that we have to deal with this every month. Big hugs, keeping everything crossed that April is your month!

@having sorry for af arriving, big hugs.

@cariad when I conceived DD we dtd only 3 times that month and not on ov day. When I had the bfp last year again we only dtd 4 times. It only takes one swimmer!!

I’m either 8, 9 or 4dpo because I’ve stopped tracking and had EWCM twice this month. So who knows what’s going on!!

Cariad2017 · 03/03/2018 18:40

Oh no Lopey. I logged on hoping to discover that this had been your month. Fx it’s just too early, but I know how demoralising it can be to get to the end of your cycle and realise that you have all the usual AF symptoms and no pregnancy ones. I shall keep everything crossed that April is your month.

Sorry to hear AF has arrived Having. Sending lots of Wine your way.

1dpo at this end, and we failed to dtd on the day of ov, so I’m not feeling overly hopeful, but hey ho, given that this is Cycle 19 I doubt whether or not we time it properly will make a jot of difference to the outcome.

BadBadBeans · 03/03/2018 12:35

Wow Twittle I have never heard of that before! Glad you were both okay - sepsis must have been very scary.

Sorry havingiraffe and Lopey :( Fingers crossed for April for you.

LopeyLopez · 03/03/2018 11:36

Sorry for all those who've just got af....12 dpo for me today and just started spotting, so pretty sure I'm out. Gah. We dtd like troopers this month as well, every day of fertile period even when we were both knackered, and our timing was immaculate (but then, it is most months....☹️😥). See you on the April bus folks....cycle 14 for me....😞

TwittleBee · 02/03/2018 18:51

Secondtimelucky urgh frustrating with trying to figure out what's going on for you!

TwittleBee · 02/03/2018 18:50

havingiraffe sorry AF turned up early and even more sorry it's not your month. Good luck for April.

CoconutGal hope it's your month too! Fingers crossed

Secondtimelucky1980 · 02/03/2018 16:11

Thanks ladies.

I had highs on CB and loads of EWCM that then turned to creamy CM so I thought I’d ovulated but then all of this week I’ve had creamy cm mixed with EWCM so I presume I tried to ovulate, failed, and then did it again later than usual. So frustrating. Anyway, It’s fine. I’m increasingly thinking we should stick to one child as I can’t stand the thought of more MCs.

giraffe I’m so sorry - see you on the April bus! Xx

CoconutGal · 02/03/2018 15:59

I think I'm nearing the end of my fertile week. Feeling rough today though, cold, headache & generally uncomfortable. DH is at work so we'll most likely BD tonight. I'm hoping this month is our month. 14th cycle lucky?

havingiraffe · 02/03/2018 15:48

I'm officially out. Tested first thing this morning and was negative, then AF decided to arrive early just so there could be no doubt!

Good luck to the rest of you.

TwittleBee · 02/03/2018 12:08

BadBadBeans PROM =Premature Rupture of Membranes. DS was totally fine, only happend 1 day out of 37 weeks so all he was missing was eyebrows and eyelashes haha. Although we both got sepsis so had to stay in for a while.

You never know our next pregnancies and births could be different. Everyone keeps telling every birth is different. My sister is certainly evidence for that, her first one was a bit of a nightmare and second time round she had the most lovely water birth and delivered baby totally on her own. So fingers crossed it might be like that for us!
