Sorry @strawberrye that's so disappointing.

Boboelephant · 18/03/2018 10:56

@strawberrye sorry for the bfn. They are the worst. It'll happen- just keep trying!

Cakelaur · 18/03/2018 10:50

@strawberrye sorry for the BFN. They're just shit to get. Maybe you ovulated later than usual? It is massively up and down. I totally feel ya. Ive always felt so down around 9dpo through til AF and then I feel a little better and start planning for the next month. I keep threatening to give up but I know there's nothing left if not trying for a baby. We will all get there. Sending hugs.

strawberrye · 18/03/2018 06:27

So I caved and tested, of course it's a fucking BFN. CD26 and AF due tomorrow. Can't tell whether I'm feeling like a grumpy cow because of the BFN or impending AF. I'm so so sick of being on this horrible rollercoaster! Why can't I just get and stay pregnant? I'm young fit and healthy arrrrrrrghhhhhh! SadAngry

hayleyfx · 17/03/2018 23:28

@Bobo haha 🤣🤣 well that makes me feel better! 😂 good luck with the Zumba class! 😉

Boboelephant · 17/03/2018 22:05

@Eastend2015 very true! 🤞🤞
@hayleyfx haha I've just polished off a pie and cider and about to have apple strudel.... So hopefully the gym will create some balance! And get me in shape... a shape that's not round! 🤣🤣🤣

hayleyfx · 17/03/2018 21:37

@Bobo oh wow you’re putting me to shame... I’ve just wolfed down a McDonald’s 😳😂

Eastend2015 · 17/03/2018 20:51

Well I would prefer to say stronger to cope with what the future holds- I don’t know whether I’ll be lucky enough to carry a baby to term again but I need to be able to cope with what life is going to chuck at me. Zumba’ll definitely be a giggle and that’s always a good thing Smile

Boboelephant · 17/03/2018 20:24

@Sloeberrygin yes I definitely think you should call them. If only to rule out an infection. Fingers crossed it's all fine.
@Eastend2015 that's a great way of putting it! Focusing on what the body can do not what it can't. 👍👍 Here's to getting stronger so ultimately we can carry our babies!

Eastend2015 · 17/03/2018 20:13

Haha good luck bobo! I have found joining a gym very helpful the last couple of months, I guess exercise releases endorphins which’ll lift you mood and has certainly raised my self esteem. It’s good to focus on what your body can do rather than what it can’t.

Slowberry yes do try EPU, they should cover both Early pregnancy and everything related to your loss. I hope you get some help!

Sloeberrygin · 17/03/2018 20:03

@Boboelephant and @whyistherumgone do you reckon I can still ring the epu with this kind of thing? Oh I really hope it's not an infection! They did give me antibiotics when they discharged me after my mc so I'd assumed I'd be clear, but maybe not I suppose. Good suggestion with the red towels too Grin

Boboelephant that's a good effort, hopefully you're still feeling good after zumba!

Boboelephant · 17/03/2018 19:25

Hahaha you too @Kingy! 🤣🤣

Kingy2910 · 17/03/2018 19:06

Been nice talking to you bobo 😂😂😂😂

Boboelephant · 17/03/2018 18:37

@whyistherumgone good suggestion! Not sure why but that made me chuckle. The first towels I ever bought were deep red. That was not the reason!! 🤣🙈
I'm feeling good ladies. I've signed up at the gym and even booked myself in for zumba in the morning! 😳 If you don't hear from me for awhile it's because I've dropped dead after my 6 year gym hiatus! 🏃‍♀️🤦‍♀️

whyistherumgone · 17/03/2018 15:23

@sloeberrygin I echo @bobothelephant about getting checked out or at least giving EPU a call. I had a VERY long bleed after I got out of hospital that I thought was a prolonged period as it was bang on the right time but it turned out that I had an infection and needed antibiotics. Don't want to frighten anyone but I had no other symptoms either!
Also, shower is a good suggestion if you're squeamish - although - Maybe TMI! - I often find I don't bleed as much at night, so maybe with the towels down it might not be as bad as you think - invest in some deep red towels maybe?!

hayleyfx · 17/03/2018 15:19

Sorry to the people getting af or bfn’s 😔 I hope there is better news for you all next month!
I’m 6dpo and I just want to test already 🙄 I’m trying my hardest not to cave, I’m just so impatient! Hopefully there are more bfp’s soon 🤞🏼

Boboelephant · 17/03/2018 15:15

Thanks @weasledee, @NoCatsHere and @Primrose16.
Welcome @Beck1988 although I'm sorry you're here. I think you could drive yourself crazy wondering what caused a miscarriage and if you could have done anything differently when the short answer is probably not. It is just a cruel random part of the conception lottery which is really shit. As for cycles and symptoms we all seem to have found that MC can change things for awhile. You might have longer cycles and I know in my case my symptoms are crazily heightened. Which makes me think I've caught every month. 😣 Hope you regulate soon!
@whyistherumgone good luck and welcome back. Fingers crossed for you!!
@Sloeberrygin I really don't know what's going on with your cycle. I would probably call the EPU to make sure everything is ok as it seems that you have been bleeding for ages! If it feels like you are ovulating I think you might have to go the towel route. Or the shower?

Sloeberrygin · 17/03/2018 13:51

Just trying to keep up with all the posts! Sorry to everyone whose AF has arrived. And I can definitely sympathise with all the symptom spotting people are doing (quite reassuring that it's not just me!), it just makes it harder when your cycle is all over the place.

I'm not sure whether this is ridiculous (probably), but I'm starting to worry that my very long AF will mean I'll miss ovulation. As in I'll bleed through it. My cycles are usually around 24 or 25 days, so slightly short. I never use OPK's or anything, I just go by EWCM and cramping/heaviness to know when I'm ovulating, and generally it's around day 12 (I temped a few years ago and my cycle was really predictable, we usually use the rhythm method for contraception/TTC and it's been totally reliable up to now). I'm now on day 12 of the longest AF ever, and earlier I noticed some EWCM as well as AF, and I've got the usual ovulation cramping.

Do people think I could be ovulating as well as AF? If so I'm going to have to set my squeamishness aside (and DH's!!) and dtd with some towels laid down Blush I'd just hate to miss it this month.

Beck1988 · 17/03/2018 13:00

Thanks @primrose16 will wait a little longer before I test again, just wishful thinking I guess! My 5 year old had slapped cheek the week I would of conceived last time not sure if that was part of the miscarriage or something else caused it. The doc said at the time they couldn't test me to c if I had it but I've read online they could of given me a blood test to c if I was immune from it! I no it wouldn't of stopped the miscarriage but I would of been more aware that something could go wrong if I did have it! 😢

whyistherumgone · 17/03/2018 12:49

Hi all, sorry I dropped off the thread by accident and took me ages to find it again, will catch up with all the posts now but good luck to anyone testing, and so sorry to anyone who's had a disappointment.

I've just started taking folic acid again - feels like a bizarrely big step. Our original due date is coming up and I'm in a strange mood, the TFMR feels simultaneously so long ago and yet not long ago at all.

Going to pick up a multivitamin today as advised by our doctor and then I guess it's all systems go come next fertile week, which I think is a few weeks away.

Primrose16 · 17/03/2018 12:44

@PassTheAfterEights so for the BFN too 😢

So sorry @boboelephant, rubbish. It’s so bloody hard. 😢

@Mimilicious013 sorry March has been hard. I can understand. I miscarried for the second time in August when my first baby would have been due. Sending love

@cakelaur- I need cake now!!!!
@beck1988 sorry about your loss. My cycles were a little longer after the mc. Last month I was feeling queasy and thought I’d cracked it- no joy. You might have ovulated late 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe test in a few days if nothing arrived. Fingers crossed for you

Sorry typos! 🙄
*drank cough mixture to help with ewcm!

NoCatsHere · 17/03/2018 12:17

bobo sorry af got you and pass I hope the symptoms disappearing doesn’t mean anything.

I just want to say to hopefully help a little that other than take my vits I haven’t done anything fancy. I’ll be 40 this year and although I’m bloody lucky that this will be my hopefully third child every pregnancy has been different. First was a breeze and fell pregnant within 3 months with little effort. 2nd child took us 18 months and we were doing smep, I bought he clearblue monitor, my OH switched from veggie diet to meat and I did every woo thing and peddled my legs in the air like an idiot after sex. Ate pineapple drank cough mixture to help with Weckmann, You name it I tried it. These last 3 times falling pregnant over the last year and a bit (1st two were miscarriages) we’ve done it once. I’ve made sure I know when ov is and just pounced on my OH either the day I get the positive or the day after. With 2 kids already it’s hard to dtd more that that and he was really adamant the third baby should be left done to Mother Nature (and opks in my case!!) so although I don’t know if I’ll be lucky and this one will stick I do know it only takes one go. So much good baby juju and hope for you all. X

Beck1988 · 17/03/2018 11:22

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site. Had a miscarriage on 19th Feb would of been 6.5 weeks. Had a scan at Roy an they said everything had passed naturally no signs of any damage anywhere and womb was thin. Bled for around 6 days not to heavy and not really any pain apart from period cramps one morning for a few hours! Nurse said we could try again straight away. So been bedding since bleeding stopped. Currently on day 27 usual cycle b4 miscarriage was 24-26 days but bfn this morning! I've had sore swollen boobs & aerolas bumpy for about week now, ( boobs sometimes hurt b4 period due but not aerolas?) cramping for past weeks aswell adermint that period was starting the other day but nothing an cramps have stopped now. Boobs still hurting, feeling a bit of nausea & hungry all the time ( but could just be imagining it) just want to no when period will come or bfp! Normally very regular cycles, took tests after bleeding stopped & had neg so hcg levels defo gone down. We already have a 5yr old girl who took 3months to conceive. Any info or advice would be great thanks. Good luck to everyone trying again 🌈
