TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

Well I'm just entering my fertile week and DH has got the shits. I asked him if he fancied DTD earlier and he said "I'd like to, but I almost sharted earlier so better not". FML 🙈

@Rmad6716 try not to get too disheartened. It may take a while for your body to get back to normal after being on the pill. Hope you get you BFP soon though. X

I've been lurking but not commenting the past week or so. Feeling confused and frustrated! lol.

I use Glow and Ovia. Ovia saying I'm 4 days late for AF and Glow 1 day late. POAS yesterday with a first response 45 second test and it was a BFN.

Feel normal, no strange symptoms. Just feel bloated around pelvic area. Felt like AF was coming last week but nothing at all yet. Maybe my cycle isn't normal yet after coming off the pill in jan. 04th March was a real period so maybe my cycle is just long!

Ahh Confused.

Yup, did a test, obviously, although not due until Tuesday.

Negative, obviously. Gaaaaah!! Why did I do that???

@WaitingForThatBFP ah I know, that kind of comment does my head in! I lie to people on purpose sometimes to avoid those kind of questions just in case it can't happen! But try not to lose hope I'm sure you will get your BFP, Just got to keep on DTD!! WinkGrin CD4 for me, roll on ovulation!
I'm doing the clearblue study this month so hoping all The rules about what to do when keep Me From Going mad!

I think I just needed to get it out as We’ve not told anyone we’re trying but we get people asking all the time oh no need yet you’ve been married a while... and it all just got to me.. trying really hard to just ignore now and not snap at people to kind their own damn business 😬

@WaitingForThatBFP try and stay positive. The exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago and after a big cry I felt so much better... until AF arrived 🙈 It’s easier said than done as we all know, but try and stay positive. Hope your test results are all ok. Keep smiling xx

Oh and just an update on things.. I don’t think I’ve ovulated yet after 2 days of watery CF it’s back to creamy and stretchy 😫
Had my blood tests and will be going to see my doctor on Monday to discuss results 😬

Hey guys I’m back after a couple days away from MN...
All this TTC stuff just got to me and I had a massive cry at the weekend.. so thought I’d take a break from here.. DH was very supportive and we had a huge heart to heart where I mainly just cried 🙈 and he reassured me it will happen and we just need to stay positive and kept me busy with house redecorating which we’ve been putting off for ages x

My “period” was super light and short but I think that’s what it was... I’m guessing maybe I had a really thin lining since I had the Mirena and hardly ever had any bleeding.

I ordered some cheapie ovulation sticks from Amazon so I guess I’ll try those out since I think I’d feel better if it does show that I’m ovulating (but worse if it doesn’t haha...).

Here goes cycle #1! 🤗

Just finished my AF, both cycles have been 36 days and 3 days long so now to start some baby making 😉😆 wish me luck ladies 🤞

@WaitingForThatBFP I'm just starting my FW, ovulation due Friday according to Glow. Using Clearblue digital OPK this month dislike saying I wouldn't use them till we'd been trying longer!

Good luck on your blood test @WaitingForThatBFP.

Currently still on AF although it's looking like it's coming to an end. I ov'd on cd12 for the last few cycles and am using Clearblue OPKs this month which according to them I'll need to start using CD6 so Wednesday.

@notmarywhitehouse nothing to report here.. I’m on cd22 but I’m pretty sure I haven’t ovulated yet.. I hate that my cycles are so freaking irregular.. my last cycle was 45 days so I still have time.. I have a blood test on Tuesday to check my progesterone.. I’m just hoping everything is normal
