TTC #1, Cycle 1. Anyone In?

Hi all,
Longtime lurker, occasional commenter, rare poster here.
DH and I decided to start to TTC after much deliberation recently.
I've been on the pill for 16 years and haven't had a natural period in that time! Had my withdrawal bleed which started on 15th Jan and think I may have ovulated on Thursday 2nd Feb. I was doing OPKs (I know - first cycle, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going all in!) and got an almost-positive then - didn't have any more OPKs with me to test slightly later in the day.
DTD numerous times in what I'm estimating is my fertile week (working on the basis that my cycle is 28 days but don't really know at the moment).
So now the waiting begins.
Anyone in the same position or want to join?
Advice and your stories welcomed!

Came off the pills 14 months ago but this will be he first month I have actually had AF so counting it as 1st month really!
Have PCOS and under gyny now so could be here a while!

@Rmad6716 well, that chart officially will make me insane whenever I do decide to POAS 😂 those barely-there lines do look like something when you see the progression!

@jemimafuddleduck booo spotting!! I hope it stays away!!

@Moxska yes since this is my first cycle TTC and I’m so unsure what my cycle is like, if AF arrives in a relatively normal timeframe I think I will be able to see the silver lining in that. After that though I don’t think I’ll have any patience for it!! 😬

I've actually booked a doctors appointment today for Monday. I know it's still early-ish and they might tell me to do one but my cycles are consistently around 22 days and I'm worried that they're not long enough. Will see what they say!

We will get our BFP's eventually 😍

I'm going to try and wait till at least Sunday and use a first response. I do genuinely feel different but I don't know if it's just me now experiencing premenstrual symptoms that I haven't had for years due to the pill. Wish I hadn't POAS this morning lol!

@waitingforbubbles thanks, trying not to get too excited yet. I've had soar boobs and back ache for the last few days. Had a little bit of cramping about a week ago but stopped now.

@orangekitkat13 congratulations! That's a definite line! I'm hoping I'm a day behind you, got BFN this morning at 10DPO but have had such strange light cramps all week so really hoping it's not all in my head. What other symptoms have you had, if any? X

@Rmad6716 I know exactly how you feel. I keep looking at my pictures over and over thinking I can see something but if I can it's SO faint!

I thought AF was coming last night but it's just the tiniest bit of brown spotting, a minuscule amount. I am due today/tomorrow though so am expecting it to increase 😕

@jemimafuddleduck am in the same boat have no idea what my cycle should be due to various attempts to manage my PCOS symptoms (which now seem to be under control) been having a lot of symptoms but no BFP yet. Probably too early but since I don't know when no idea when to check!

Either way could just be my hormones sorting out and possibly a normal cycle?!?!?!?! Which tbh is a bit of a win even if we haven't conceived this month!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's going to be a BFN.

I'm just looking at the pics again now and I feel crazy 😒. I swore I seen something in real life but I think my mind is just playing tricks on me lol. Keep having cramps on and off but AF shouldn't be making an appearance until well into next week (but with this long cycle anything could happen lol). I'll buy a better test and try over the weekend😌!

@Rmad6716 they look like my tests, which I'm counting as negative at the moment. But you're only 8dpo so I'd definitely test in a couple of days!

I caved this morning at 8DPO...with the only rest left in my house 🙊. I'm freaking out. I swear I can see something. I took it and showed my mum and she swears she sees something too lol. Maybe we are just willing it to be there 😣.

@jemimafuddleduck I've been having cramps on off yesterday too😒😖

Thanks guys, I'm trying not to get too excited yet (which is pretty hard!) going to test again tomorrow morning and hopefully it'll get darker.
