Bambamber that is the worst part of waiting - the self inflicted torture!

My husband came home last night not in the mood. We have missed it this month already and I only had af last week.

I think I need to talk to him about not trying, or putting a time limit on it. I don't think I can take the disappointment for years and it is going to take us a long time at this . Or we both need to take holiday t the right time of the month so we can try properly.

Bambamber · 11/02/2018 09:52

So I caved at 10dpo, and oh look what a surprise, a bfn. I even took apart the casing as obviously the casing was obscuring my invisible line Hmm but I managed to find the indent line which most definitely did not have any hint of colour to it so I'm not left with any doubt. So now I'm left in the limbo of, oh maybe it was just too early to test.

Well I've managed not to get too upset thankfully, probably because I know that it's a bit silly to test so early. Still that little pang of disappointment though as I had visions of tying a bow round a positive pee stick and putting it in a little box and gift bag and watching my husband's eyes light up when he opened it. I obviously have far too much time on my hands Grin

Cariad2017 · 11/02/2018 09:00

I really hope AF stays away Mynameis. She can be such a cruel mistress.

I really hope this is your month RhiBee. Xxx

MynameisJune · 11/02/2018 07:49

@winterwarmer not for me it isn’t! Pre-af I’m always too hot to sleep and don’t sleep well.

winterwarmers · 11/02/2018 07:30

Isn't body temp increase a good sign?

MynameisJune · 11/02/2018 07:06

Don’t even think I’ll bother testing, heart rate has dropped and body temp has risen. Restless nights sleep always indicates af is on the way for me.

RhiBee29 · 10/02/2018 16:04

@Cariad2017 I'm planning to test on weds too, 11dpo for me. Stupidly thinking February is my month as DS was conceived around Valentine's Day 2014.

MynameisJune · 10/02/2018 14:51

Hi @cariad we’re having a lovely weekend here. Hope you’re enjoying some family time.

Af is due Monday or Tuesday based on CM and ovulation pains. Currently having cramps but that’s the only symptom. I’m exhausted but I think that’s more due to the transatlantic flight than any pregnancy related. Will be testing Monday as I’ve got a smear booked for Tuesday so need to know. Although if af arrives before then I’ll have to rearrange.

Cariad2017 · 10/02/2018 14:15

P.s. Amazing work sitting on your hands on the POAS front CatRen. I shall be keeping everything crossed that this is your month.

Waves at Mynameis. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Fx AF stays away. Xxx

Cariad2017 · 10/02/2018 14:11

Lopey - I can totally identify on the NCT group front... I went through a 2 week period in May last year where practically everyone I met/ corresponded with announced a pregnancy. It was incredibly tough... Thankfully practically everyone I know has now had No2 so my chances of baby bombs are much lower! 😂

Do feel free to PM me. Xxx

Cariad2017 · 10/02/2018 14:08

Sorry to hear about the baby bombs CatRen. It’s so very difficult. My only female cousin announced her first pregnancy earlier this week (she’s due in August), and I’m naturally delighted for her, but it’s tinged with sadness as I’d always assumed I’d be done done on the newborn days before she got there (she’s 4 years younger and only got married last Summer), and that she would be a natural heiress to all my hand me downs! 😂 Ah well, it wasn’t to be...

8dpo at this end and despite feeling completely exhausted 😴 I have literally no symptoms (I had this particular symptom this time last year and it didn’t lead to anything...) Feeling pretty meh about the whole thing - planning to test on Valentine’s Day (12dpo) but I’m pretty sure that as with the past 16 cycles I know what the outcome will be...

SecondGo · 10/02/2018 09:50

And lots of ewcm. Aargh. This explains why not working so far!

SecondGo · 10/02/2018 09:46

Oh no! I've got period style crampy feeling. Stupid question time. Does that mean I'm ovulating already?! I hope not otherwise will never be Pg again as I am grumpy and tired straight after af!

sarahhh1984 · 10/02/2018 09:26

@CatRen27, thanks! Plan is just to DTD loads at the moment as that worked last time. But if it doesn’t work after a few months then I might start following a plan. Keeping everything crossed. Except my legs, obviously! Wink

Good luck with poas!

LopeyLopez · 10/02/2018 09:05

Hi folks,

Solidarity with the baby bombs and relentless slog of ttc.... I am surrounded by people either pregnant or with a new baby. Many of my NCT friends are now on their second....

I am now seriously considering going private.....I have some money saved up that I could use. After the usual week during and after af of feeling depressed and desolate, I'm ready to take positive action again to do something about this situation. I want to get moving before it's too late....I will only regret it if I don't. Someone on here said they wish they'd done all this (testing, starting consultation with gp, etc....) 12 months earlier....so I think it's pretty clear with my age that I need to start now!! I know I have started the NHS processes but I feel it is going to be too slow/too late for me. So private it is. Cariad I will on you (if I can work out how to on my phone....!)

I already take all the recommended pills and potions but was wondering about progesterone supplements as my progesterone was found to be low. Could suggest that some months I have conceived but I just never have enough lining or hormone to implant or sustain a pregnancy. Does anyone take or use progesterone? I guess they may prescribe it privately (or even on the NHS, when I eventually get my consultation, in 10 months!!) but I don't know if I can wait....

Good luck all. I think we all need a bfp to cheer us up!!! X

Sorry to hear about the baby bombs, I really struggle with it too.
I feel like I'm on a conveyor belt. I have short cycles so I've only just got over my period and now it's time to go again. I know I'm lucky to get lots of chances but it feels relentless!

CatRen27 · 10/02/2018 03:04

Thanks guys it was a rough few days, sorry for being such a downer!

@sarahhh good luck this fw, are you following any plan in particular or just dtd loads?

I'm planning to pop to the chemist today in prep for tomorrow mornings poas. I'll be 11dpo - the longest I've waited in months to do it. Progress i say!

sarahhh1984 · 09/02/2018 17:59

Sorry to hear so many of you are having a rubbish time. Flowers

AF has finally finished here so it’s time to get on with BDing as much as possible. We conceived DD really quickly, on our second cycle, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up that it’ll happen that way this time.

I had a traumatic delivery with DD and I have something of an irrational fear that it will somehow cause problems conceiving #2. I’m trying to keep those thoughts at bay but it’s very hard.

Bambamber · 09/02/2018 10:57

Thankyou @CatRen27 I'm sorry your e having such a shit time of things at the moment Flowers

RhiBee29 · 09/02/2018 06:44

Ugh @CatRen27 baby bombs suck! It's so bloody unfair, I feel horrible for being jealous when I should be happy for the preggo person.

CatRen27 · 08/02/2018 22:53

bambamber great news on ovulating, and fingers crossed for you when you do cave.. I'm the same - no point denying it will happen..!

So i was feeling okay about things until this morning when we had not one but two baby bombs in a row.. one of them is having number 3 - they've had number 2 and gotten bfp all in the time weve been trying for number two. The other one is their first so doesn't feel so bad..

And a close friend just had her number 2, who told me she was pregnant after I'd been talking about all our troubles and she's avoided me the whole pregnancy. I have been contacting her but i must be making her feel guilty or i don't know what.. this is all so shit..

Bambamber · 08/02/2018 15:43

Think I may have actually ovulated this month as had some light spotting the day after a positive opk so hoping it's some ovulation spotting! My wedding anniversary is coming up and I'll be 11dpo. Tempted to test with a FRER at 10dpo as that would be the best gift ever. But then again If it's negative I don't want to be gutted for our anniversary. No point thinking about it too much now though as I know the chances are I'll cave and test at 10dpo then kick myself when it's negative Blush

MynameisJune · 08/02/2018 12:53

@rhi good luck at the GP. I was dismissed the first time and then I went back to see a female GP and she was fab. Fingers crossed for you.

@cat I’ve been much more relaxed this month due to being away and not doing opk’s. It actually feels quite liberating.

I’m 10dpo today, no symptoms to speak of so I’m sure they are all made up in my head on other months. Not going to poas just going to let af arrive and then test if she doesn’t.

CatRen27 · 08/02/2018 11:42

Good luck rhi, tell us how it goes.

Im feeling unusually calm at 8dpo but I'm sure its bc i have no access to any tests and I'm on a family holiday so distracted. Obviously been symptom spotting, noticing yellow cm (sorry tmi) for the first time and sensitive boobs. If we conceived this cycle my due date would be near my birthday so for some reason I'm seeing that as a ridiculous sign... ohhh I'm in for a rough time if/when af rolls around on the 15th!

How's everyone doing? Anyone poas soon?

RhiBee29 · 07/02/2018 10:11

Thanks everyone, I need to pluck up the courage to make the appointment. I feel different after the mc, periods are heavier and painful and I get sore boobs from ovulation to af which never happened previously so I think something is up Hmm
