Anyone just starting the TWW..?

Boo, it's so sad reading this. Nothing like a miserable rainy day to reflect the mood (not sure where you are based but it's grey in London!) I cant imagine getting a BFP ever at all! Especially after 6 months so I can't imagine how excited and then sad you must feel. I don't think men really 'get it', however lovely and sensitive they are. It's just not the same. The pressure, emotions and obsession just isn't part of their make-up (I'm not being sexist). They try to understand but it's not as big a deal from my experience. So you went to the doc and what did they say? That's fascinating about what the doc said in regards to the 1 in 10 who won't be pregnant in 12 months. What happens to that 1 couple? 😫😫 God I can imagine the annoyance of people who say 'it's common to miscarry early' just as much as those who say 'relax and it will happen' they can all fuck off! No one can tell you how to feel and you should allow yourself time to have these emotions as it's much healthier than bottling it up. Pre seed - on and off do you think that helped you? X

I don't know how I knew but I absolutely did, I had a tiny amount of brown spotting from Friday and everyone kept telling me that is was totally normal in early pregnancy. I just knew it wasn't the case for me. I even knew last night that it was time to use something because it would be the time that the bleeding started, before any actual signs or anything. 🤷 Weird.
Oh bless you, I know exactly how you feel, I have cried over af many times and cried so much today that I don't think I have anything left. Hubby actually hurt me even more by going to work as normal today and so I have been home on my own all day. It hasn't been pleasant to be honest.
When I saw the doctor he said that of the healthiest most fertile couples, 1 in 10 won't be pregnant within 12 months. So it really means nothing about you that it hasn't happened yet. Please please stay positive, this will happen for you, it's just such a shit when you are the one stuck in it all. And if I have another person tell me that unfortunately it's very common in early pregnancy I will rip their bloody head off!! It makes me feel like I shouldnt be sad as its so frigging common!! Oh well in that case what am I bothering about!!! sorry for the rant, I feel like I may explode! Fingers crossed for the acupuncture, are you also using preseed? Xx

@LG88 this breaks my heart. I'm so so so sorry you're going through this and feeling so low. I know I've not yet been pregnant but I fully sympathise. And I know what you mean about not being able to take it much longer 💔 it's utterly devastating getting AF each month let alone losing out when you've just got your BFP test. If it makes you feel any better.... the day my AF arrived, I cried loudly on the way to work and had to wear sunglasses on the train, then at a doctors appointment with a hot male doctor, then again at work (I'm a teacher so big puffy eyes are noticed by ALL the kids)! So what happened? I'm so sad after being so excited about the positive tests. My heart hurts for you x I am ovulating tomorrow but literally I think there's something wrong (everyone else gets pregnant so easily it seems) so it won't happen but inevitably I will get my hopes up and be all happy .... until it doesn't work again. I wonder how you kind of knew that it didn't feel right, do you think you will be like that until 12 week scan when it happens? How's your hubbie? Always here xxxxx

@buntingandstarcharts no I'm sure this is not a normal pregnancy bleed unfortunately. I'm absolutely devastated. Sounds like we have both had very similar break downs then as that's where I am right now. How are you feeling now? You must be coming up to ovulation and another dreaded 2ww. I just feel like I don't know if I can do it all again. I thought it would be easy once you got pregnant but I actually just spent the whole time in a panic that I was going to miscarry which turned out to be justified I guess. I'm exhausted with it all to be honest. I hope you are feeling much more positive. Xx

Hi ladies, sorry been trying to be calm and serene and not check on here after the 6 month breakdown of death I had  @LG88 are you ok? It's so hard all this emotional turmoil. Are you sure it's not just normal pregnancy bleeding? I think that's quite common? I really hope you're ok xxxx

@Hopefulbunny I was actually going to ask if you guys would mind if I stayed on the thread. It's very early days for me anyway so want to be here if things don't work out and I really feel like I have made friends in you guys so would be really sad not to keep up with progress.
I am absolutely over the moon, still don't think it has fully sunk in yet. I am feeling pretty sick and very tired. Also last week I wanted to eat everything in sight but this week I feel starving but can't stand the sight of any food. 🤢
Hope you don't mind me asking but are you both using preseed? Xx

@buntingandstarcharts no I was absolutely not expecting it at all. I was 100% convinced that I would get a clear negative and only tested because I had been sooo tired and grumpy last weekend/this week and had wanted to eat everything in sight after hardly having an appetite for ages. I thought if I took a test and got the negative I knew was coming then at least I wouldn't be devastated when my period arrived. I thought I was going crazy when I looked at it but called my husband up and he said he could definitely see a second line. 😱 I still feel like it could be wrong though. 🤔 Xx

@Hopefulbunny thank you so much for this info. So is that the first step towards assisted conception? Good luck and keep up updated. There must be a reason we aren't all getting pregnant quickly with such active trying so hopefully you will soon know, we have to wait longer

Hi buntingandstarcharts, sorry to hear AF arrived for you but great you are now feeling positive. I do OPKS, but whilst they indicate when you LH is rising they can't actually confirm if you have ovulated. The day 1-3 blood test shows FSH levels which is the hormone needed for ovulation and provides information about your ovarian reserve and the day 21 blood test checks progesterone levels which confirm if you are actually ovulating.

I had an abdominal myomectomy to remove fibroids last year so had to wait to recover from surgery before ttcing. I had a BFP In November but had a very early miscarriage. The reason why I'm having the tests is because I will be referred to fertility clinic because of my age, 36.

We need to stay positive and believe this will happen!
