Miami apologies. I’ve been totally wrapped up in my scan anxiety. I’m sorry things are still up in the air. Has the case been discussed with the full team of gynaecologists in your hospital? Difficult cases normally go to discussion?

I know how hard it is when you are being bounced around without a decision. I hope a decision is made soon.

Had scan and bloods for harmony. Looks good. Haematoma getting smaller, baby has 4 limbs and a brain, hopping about. Measuring 11+1 so moved forward a few days. Early to measure but nuchal fluid looked normal. Results in 2 weeks and another scan (package deal). Nhs scan next Friday. Fingers crossed it survives the surgery tomorrow now!

Just dropping in to say hi and good luck to everyone here. I had five MC before my gorgeous boy arrived and just reading your messages reminds me how much of a struggle it was. Best wishes to all of you trying.

I know it's easy for me to say but could you try again and if not pregnant by time surgeon's make their minds up reconsider then? I have a large erosion on my cervix and they don't want to do anything about that until after I've had a baby as they have said scar tissue could cause more problems. It's so hard trying to decide what to do for the best. Its now a year since I first fell pregnant. All these anniversaries are hard especially when there's so many baby bombs. So glad to have you guys to talk to. None of my friends understand how I'm feeling ❤

Surgeon twat is now sure it's a septum. Its large (wide) and thick which is why they thought it was bicornuate. My obstetrics consultant would prefer I left it alone and had another go with her blood thinning protocol, she would just prefer as little scars, or potential for scars as possible going forward. Meeting a different surgeon in 2 weeks.
My heart wants to try again, my head is questioning my sanity.

Hi everyone. Miami I think as the treatment is the same as is generally advised in RMC anyway a lot of places don’t test for it.

I’ve been super anxious again the past few days. Dreaming about miscarriages. Having scan today and harmony test so am of course worrying about another MMC.

In other news my hospital called and are getting me in for my abdominal stitch tomorrow (assuming scan today is ok). I’ll be much happier once that’s done I think. Although obviously terrified of surgery while pregnant.

I asked for tests after my 2nd so gp referred me to fertility clinic. I had 3rd mc before appointment came through so have now been referred to rmc instead. I have consultant appointment next week. My husband and I have decided to start trying again. I can't decide if I'm going to track cycle and use opk or if I should just wait and see what happens. Don't want to become obsessed but at same time I'm so used to knowing when we should be trying each month. Had another baby bomb at work last night 😢 As I'm a nurse we sometimes have to tell each other quite early as there's certain patients and tasks we need to avoid. Hope you're all well and have been enjoying the sunshine

I got my gp to refer after two. Due to extensive family history (they thought maybe thrombophilia related) and my age >35. It's no skin off the gp's nose, just a letter. The rmc can review and reject. Worth a shot anyway.

Thanks for the tips ladies, I look into those. GP didn't refer to full fertility tests as it was only 2nd MC but I'm having some blood tests done so it's a start at least.

@AnneLovesGilbert it's some kind of genetic variation thing. To do with not processing folic acid properly and something with a b vitamin and potential clotting issues as your body goes mad trying to cope with all that!! It's not been mentioned to me at all, but treatment is high dose folic, aspirin and heparin which is what mine will be. Just wondered if anyone knew anything else about it.
Sounds like your body is still recovering. Hopefully all clicks back into action soon for you.

Never heard of it Miami, what have they told you about it?

I'm CD19 and don't seem to have ovulated which is a bit odd. Been temping this month, ew and watery cm been going on for about 10 days, twice FF has told me I've ovulated, albeit it with a dotted rather than solid line, and then today it says not. Was only bothering so I knew when to expect af as I'm going away in a couple of weeks.

Still no letter confirming my RMC apt next week, but had a letter with an appointment date to see my consultant under the gynae ward rather than RMC. Must be a very late follow up after the surgery as he did it. Not sure? But I didn't have one last time. I'll take it with me when we see him next week and ask what it's for.

Feeling pretty good, sleeping well, lost a few lbs, work still manic. Slightly freaked out about the no ov thing but as ever, only time will tell. Also wondered if maybe I didn't ov last month either and that's why I had the easy pain free period, rather than it being to the wonder of acupuncture! Hmmmmm.

Anyone been tested for mthfr?? They seem to be treating me like I have it but can't find any sign of it in my blood tests. Online suggests that nhs don't really check for that?

I'm so sorry @Coffeist welcome here though to this safe space. Some of the loveliest ladies are on here (or have graduated 🤞).
I ended up getting my rmc tests on nhs. I am currently in conversations with st marys London privately to potentially have a consultation with raj rai about having my septum resected. His secretaries email is [email protected] and she gets back to emails really quickly. She will be able to advise of rmc tests cost and waiting times. Coventry might be an option for you? Or maybe phone Tommy's? I found them to helpful, they are setting up Tommy's funded rmc's in various different hospitals. It depends where you are in the country. But definitely worth emailing Mary's as that will be a good indicator of costs for private.

I’m so sorry for your losses @coffeist and hope you’re doing okay. When will you see your GP? It’s definitely worth asking for a referral as different areas vary in policy but most of us were only referred after 3. I’m under RMC care on the NHS and happy to answer any questions you have. I haven’t sought any care privately but my consultant works both private and NHS so if you were living here you’d be able to pay to see him earlier. Worth a google in your area as well as a chat with your doctor.

Hi ladies - I've just had my 2nd MC (well, still ongoing). 1st MC in Feb at 6 wks, this was 10 wks. I'm going to see GP and hoping for a referral to checks for RMC but if not, may see doing them privately - anyone idea of costs? We don't had problems TTC so far.

I'm so pleased it was a productive appointment, she sounds awesome, and having good people onside makes all the difference. Glad you're in kind and capable hands my love.

Hope the harmony is all good para, keep us posted! And glad no more bleeding. Long may that continue.

My consultant is great. She is pissed off on our behalf, she's referring us to a different surgeon. Hopefully quickly.
We talked through all the risk stuff. She was able to confirm that dd's placenta was away from the septum on the right lateral wall of my uterus. She thinks all the septum stuff is a bit of a red herring, but is happy to pursue it to its conclusion with us. A very positive meeting all in all.
So glad I went to see her.

Thanks Anne, I’ve had no bleeding now for a week which is the longest so far. Next scan is for harmony in one week. I’ve been feeling rotten which I hope is a good sign but in my experience to date means very little.

Sounds like they didn’t read what you’d said at all so. Hopefully your consultant will have good advice and you can get trying ASAP, I know the waiting is awful.

Yeah it's a hysteroscopy although with guidance from laparoscopy to make sure they don't perforate womb. So not without risks. Will just see what my guy has to say.
No nothing at all about cervix. All blood supply issues for me. Cervix was good with no signs at all of any infection.
