Hello yammers. Lots to catch up on, and hello newbies.

Firstly, bfp warning, for those that hate them.

Anyway, I've stayed off MN for a few weeks. Just getting too upset with it all in my face all the time. Then we went to Las Vegas for a week and I just forgot to login.

I went to the gp yesterday and got an appointment / referral plus bloods as I just felt like if we knew, we could stop the upset. Also mentioned that a week later I can't get over the jet lag. Gp suggested I might be pregnant but as I've done nothing, no apps, opk or anything, I just said pfff. And then obvs bought a frer on the way home. Weak evening pee, 2 hours since last and several cups of tea in between, but the line is no squinter!

So I've drunk half a gallon of champagne and a zillion bloody Mary's, done nothing, had sex once in Vegas, and somehow have a far stronger bfp at 11dpo than the last 2.

We're bloody terrified now, but sicky and tired already so keeping everything crossed symptoms are a good sign.

Bfp haters can look again 🙄

Sorry @wonkeydonkey I missed read and thought you were asking me. There seems like there are so many different ones I'm so unsure. I'm looking at going to get a fertility check as they do a Anti-Mullerian Hormone blood test. Has anyone had one done?

@wonkydonkey with a hycosy they start with a vagina ultrasound, then they insert a catheter into your uterus and pump in saline. It is to check inside your uterus and if your fallopian tubes are open. It is day clinic, you take two paracetamol and should be back to work in 24hrs. I was unlucky. If you are able to get pregnant they won't do it as the eggs are getting though. If you have got pregnant they just do a hsg or an ultrasound. Please correct if I am wrong.

@catherine it’s hard waiting I know, but you do have time on your side which is at least something. Really hope you get to see the fertility clinic soon.

@mynameisjune I don't even use opk, I used them once or twice about month 6-7 because I was worried I wasn't ovulating. Which I was each time so I never did them again. We just have sex 2-4 times a week. I just don't get why it doesn't work, we both slim and healthy and don't smoke and neither of us drink huge amounts. I just wish I could get to a proper fertility clinic. I can't even access fertility counciling I just want to be seen to properly.

@Pibbee. Yeah I know! I've felt pants since then so I've made a doctor's appointment for this evening just to check I'm not just unwell and that's why flo hasn't turned up.

I have 35 ish day cycles anyway so trying to keep up opk'ing and dtd for that long is bloody hard work! We haven't dtd for a week because I needed a break!

Hmmm could be then, @lookingatthestars. No real way of knowing though, which is the most annoying thing. I hate the amount of random guesswork that we have to do in this ttc malarkey!!!!

@Pibbee. I stopped around cd24 as I wasn't sure I was getting anywhere, they looked like decent lines by then but not positives if that makes sense.

Could be, yes. Did you do any OPKs around that time or not bother?

QUESTION: On cd29-30 I had loads of fertile looking cm - do you think I could have ovulated around that time and that's why flo is late?? It seems awfully late to ovulate but then this is turning out to be a long cycle!

@catherine it’s so shit isn’t it. All I can say is that it will happen. DD took 3 years of properly trying with opk’s etc from being 27 to turning 30 and getting a bfp 6 months later.

The month we conceived I did no opk’s, no Cm checking nothing. We’d just moved house, we dtd 3 times in the whole month. I hate when people tell me to relax and it will happen, but I know that after 3 years of no contraception and then another 3 years of TTC, DD was conceived the month we took our eye of the ball and forgot all about it because we were busy. I’m going down that route again for a month or two in the hope it will happen again if we don’t obsess over it so much.

@WonkyDonk87. I've had plenty lol. I've been pregnant four times (4th one was mmc), which is why this whole scenario is even more infuriating! They might not be able to tell me anything but it's better to know I think.

I've already had the delight of that one twice (once for investigation and once post mc). The first time the guy doing the scan was distractingly good looking . If you've not had one before it's not too bad. Just her, rather undignified.

@WonkyDonk87. I was going to book a fertility scan for next weekend in case flo arrived this weekend just got, so they could maybe predict ov for me but it seems pointless now! I may still book it so they can have a look what's going on in there.

Other people's babies just remind me of what I don't have. l I waited for my husband to be ready to have a baby, I finally get to try, it doesn't work, I go to gp, they mess up my bloods which all have to be repeated, I have a hycosy, I get a infection and bleeding for a month, I get my gyn appointment for referral to fertility services, it get cancelled and moved to 5 weeks later, I am 19 months in and I went to the GP in month 11. There is nothing wrong with me Im in my 20s have regular cycles, I ovulate, my lady bits are as they should be, my husband has good sperm. I mean WTF. Sorry everyone rant complete... moan moan moan

Me too.... I've been reading the "taking charge of your fertility" book and was all geared up ready to start temping/charting when AF arrived.... still no bloody sign (no pun intended )
I can only assume atm that I'm not ovulating at all, or at best erratically and def not effectively.
We've started having conversations about fostering instead, and although DH says he wouldn't consider it for a few years so we can say we tried what we could, he's otherwise pretty on board and I'm quite passionate (for want of a less wanky word) about it so there's that at least...

@WonkyDonk87. And I'm moaning about cd39! I really thought I was pregnant this time but I'm actually starting to worry that I'm not ovulating. I've had a bit of a struggle with opks and with my cycles getting longer and longer it's looking more likely. I don't feel physically to great either which is a bit worrying. I hope you get some answers soon x

I just feel like such a bitch that I am so sad about other people’s baby news! Why am I making it about me ffs! I messaged DH about my friend and all he can say back is “be patient”... I have been (im)patient for over a year now!! I am now ignoring his messages. Cos that’s not childish of me AT all...
