Thread numero four-o.

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shall not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if they do so.

Oh Sooz. You've had a rotten time, it isn't surprising you feel shit, although it's positive you can recognise it. Numb sounds depressed. When is your dh home? Can you make a gp appt tomorrow? Sending a virtual hug.

I think I have depression. I've had a terrible day today; DH has been away and I was meant to go out (to something I've paid for) but didn't, just sat in my pyjamas and watched DVDs, eating junk food. But I didn't enjoy it, I didn't feel happy doing it. Eventually I had to stop and come out to something I'm committed to do, but it was really hard forcing myself out. I feel so unhappy but also a bit numb, if that makes sense. It's clear to me that it's only DH and the fact I'd get sacked that are getting me out of the house.

Sorry, I just need to tell someone. I haven't even been able to text DH and tell him. I just want him to be home so I can have a cuddle.

Argh! My OPK's just aren't getting darker - been roughly the same for 3 days now. Ovia is saying my FW ends today. Done LOTS of DTD but not sure we can keep it going for much longer! 😂

@LookingAtTheStars I have had watery periods, but red rather than pinky. Is this norm for you?

Looking im noticing mine are very like that but more red than pink. I had a fleeting moment of hope yesterday as my nips had been so sore for past few days. Then had heavy cm, mix of white and clear which is unusual at this stage (about 6dpo). But today... nothing. Think this is my new norm after ovulation and its a pain.

Has anyone ever had watery pink periods? I first thought that I was having heavy periods but they are more like really heavy cm mixed with pink/light red blood.

Hey Yammers, I went into Boots today and all fertility stuff including vitamins, opks (branded and boots own) and pregnancy tests are all on 3 for 2 in case anyone wants to stock up

@Milknosugar1 are you doing opks? My dr said I could do progesterone test on dpo 7 which seemed easier to work out than 7 days before af!

Yes milk. I’d had my bloods done and the doctor saw I had an under active thyroid. Not by a huge amount but possibly enough to have an effect.

FW here. Trying to dtd more. OH said this morning he feels like a robot- a sperm robot. I sense the romance of TTC has worn off for him too!

Flo arrived for me today. A whole week late. I'm getting fed up of my cycles being all over the place. I don't think DH is entirely thrilled about the idea of EOD dtd again. He actually said "Oh a week off" earlier Hmm which hurt my feelings as it's not my fault I have irregular cycles.

I'm going to try really hard and shift some weight. I've got an appointment with my gp to discuss my cycles on Tuesday. I will be cd4 by then, what's the latest cd that I could have hormone tests? Cd 5?

@Milk I’ve been on thyroid medication for a couple of months now. No noticeable difference yet but I’ve got my second set of bloods for it in a few weeks so we’ll see if they’ve made a difference.

Hats off to all you ladies doing OPKs.... trying to decipher if it was getting darker or not would drive me up the wall!

I did Limp it’s a teeny bit darker than yesterday’s (I think anyway) was run off my feet all day so didn’t get a chance to pick up a HPT but I don’t know if I’ll bother. If I was preggo and it was showing up on an opk, the line would surely be positive, I don’t think the second line is dark enough. I’m just going to keep doing opks for the next few days to put my mind at rest that they’re not getting any darker so means I can’t be near my surge quite yet

@milk it’s easily fixed with thyroid medication if that’s what they suggest. Thyroid function can have quite an impact on fertility so it’s good that it’s been picked up.

All been there Wonky. And the lovely shining beacon ones with the 'duh, is this a bfp' are the WORST.
