Thread numero four-o.

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement.

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to others when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

And most importantly...

  • Thou shall not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if they do so.

Welcome and welcome. We’re all very nice and friendly despite being horrible bitter old cows ☺️

Nc from dol war so I can't be outed....

Assuming this is AF so I've restarted Clomid. Cried all the way into work. Without giving tmi I provent have one of the worst jobs to do if you're ttc and can't

SoozC · 01/02/2018 07:35

I don't really know what a cold uterus is, Bubble, but I'm willing to give anything a go. Even eating blooming sweet potatoes. Sorry to hear the law of sod is visiting upon you re. ewcm :( x

WonkyDonk87 · 01/02/2018 07:04

😂😂😂 Just woke DH laughing at that Rhi

RhiBee29 · 01/02/2018 06:58

Yes Ovia after after 12 cycles I'm getting the idea!

Ah @Bubblegum89 that sucks! This TTC lark has really shown me what a dickhead my body is! It's unreal isn't it? Eg I NEVER used to get sore boobs pre AF but I do now! People say you are just more aware of things when TTC but it can't just be that. Hang on in there x

Bubblegum89 · 31/01/2018 23:52

Oh I see, never heard of that before!

Want to hear a joke? I have been ttc for 15 months and in that 15 months, I have had ewcm once. I’m now on month 16 and FW is fast approaching however I’ve got my HSG next week so can’t ttc this cycle. And lo and behold, tonight I’ve started getting ewcm. The cycle I’m strictly unable to ttc on and I finally get proper fertile cm. It’s like I’m actually living a parody.

@Bubblegum89 it's like having cold feet but more uterine.

Bubblegum89 · 31/01/2018 22:15

Okay guys, what is a cold uterus?

SoozC · 31/01/2018 22:10

"Sweet potato yams"!! Grin

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 31/01/2018 20:47

Is that not a sweet potato,
@SoozC ?

SoozC · 31/01/2018 20:18

If I get a bfp this month, it could be acupuncture or it could be something else...

Initial consultation was £65 (90 mins), normal hour session is £45.

Ron, I have a cold uterus too! I reckon she'll be warming me up in the same way next week!

Thanks for sharing Sooz that’s really interesting!

SparkwoodAnd21 · 31/01/2018 19:26

@Sooz where did you go? Was it expensive?

WonkyDonk87 · 31/01/2018 18:51

Ooh thanks @SoozC !
Got my initial assessment next week but no treatment until Easter as she's so busy. Cd63 over here now 😒 started Agnus Castus almost two weeks ago but no AF as yet

ronswansonstache · 31/01/2018 18:33

That's a really interesting article sooz - I had my second session yesterday. She used a burning Moxa stick to increase warmth to my abdomen. HmmIt all felt a bit voodoo!

I'm still v skeptical about the whole thing but might as well carry as I quite enjoy the relaxation and focus during the session...

SoozC · 31/01/2018 18:07

It's about acupuncture and ttc, in case you've been considering it. I slept very soundly last night, after my first session, and it's given me positivity again as I enter cycle 24 x

That happened to me last month Dolwar I had pink spotting a few days before af which I’ve never had before. Sadly it didn’t mean anything for me as af showed up that weekend

OP posts:
Dolwar · 31/01/2018 13:48

At 4am this morning when it was just light pink which is unusual for AF I was hopeful but them I got some cramps and just guessed it's AF cone really early.

DoAsDreamersDo · 31/01/2018 11:55

Dolwar that's what happened to me this month Sad AF was due on between Friday and Sunday but arrived this Monday. It started very light and brown, and I did get a glimmer of hope that it was IB but then came on in full flow yesterday. Hopefully it'll be different for you though x

Dolwar · 31/01/2018 11:44

So either AF has come 4 days early out this is a very funny type of implantation bleed 9dpo Confused

DoAsDreamersDo · 31/01/2018 10:05

Ooh I wonder if I have a cold uterus. I seem to get AF type cramps from OV onwards. Although, I do think it's only the last two cycles that my body has started to settle down after coming off the pill last April. They used to be much longer and PMS-symptom free, but now i get sore boobs etc. and much shorter (albeit still 30 days) cycles, which is much better!!

FairyAnn · 31/01/2018 06:56

Sounds like a good plan Bubblegum. Fingers crossed all goes well for you next week

Bubblegum89 · 30/01/2018 22:59

Sirlee thank you for sharing :) congratulations on your bfp. I sincerely hope every single lady on this thread has your luck, I would love to see all of them get their bfp’s. Oh and I totally feel you on the Jeremy Kyle idiots that have 7 kids all in care. It’s always the people who don’t deserve kids that are able to have them so easily :(

Thank you for your replies RE the holiday! I think I’m going to wait until next week before I decide anything. I want to get a rough idea of what we’re up against (if the sonographer is able to tell us anything) on one hand I don’t want to spend money we could be saving for IVF but on the other, I don’t want to waste another year preparing for something we might end up not needing and missing out on some time away.

The place we want to go is the same place we go to almost every year (I get quite bad anxiety about being abroad and not knowing my way around etc and it’s the one place I feel comfortable enough to properly unwind!) and it’s ridiculously cheap over there. But that money would be a huge chunk of potential treatment money. Treatment that only has a 30% chance of working so could be totally wasted money so we could very likely end up with no holiday AND no pregnancy. But then again we may be lucky and the 30% will pay off... Oh I don’t know. I’m possibly getting too ahead of myself. I’ll hold fire on all accounts until I (hopefully) know a bit more next week. If my tube/s are blocked, I know that that means IVF is the only option, I know unblocking tubes is extremely difficult and usually results in more damage or tube removal. If it’s scar tissue, I will have more of an option thankfully. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

I hate waiting.
