78th day of no period....

As the title suggests, I haven't had a period since the 18th October. I came off cerazette at the start of June and have had irregular cycles since but this is by far the longest.

DH and I are TTC and I last took a pregnancy test at the start of December so I'm fairly confident I'm not pregnant (we were both sick after that and didn't have any inclination to DTD).

We finally DTD on 26th and 27th December and yesterday I had really sore breasts and some cramps and EWCM in the morning for the first time in a long time, but we only managed to DTD late last night. Im mildly cramping this morning and have watery CM. These long cycles are so confusing! Is there a chance we might've caught ovulation this month? How long should I wait before testing?

Ah I'm almost exactly the same as you pickett - stopped the pill in September, had a 43 day cycle & then nothing since. Cramps on & off the whole way through but I barely take notice of them anymore because nothing ever happens!

Although I do agree cramps are a good thing as that means something is going on in there.

In other news, there's a spider on my bathroom ceiling that is ruining my life/evening.

That’s the way I was also! From I stopped Cerazette I had every symptom going, and had loads of cramps, I was on day 46 yesterday when it finally arrived and had nothing at all before that. But the cramps must mean something is going on in your body and preparing for AF! I just find it unbelievable that the majority of women are all in the same situation after stopping contraception 😡

Been off the patch since September, had one period about 52 days later and then nothing since 😫 I’ve had on and off cramps for the best part of a month but they’re so random, some days it’s just a twinge and others it’ll be really achey all day!

@PickettBowtruckles Cramps are a good thing! I had cramps every other week from I stopped the pill, had really bad cramps all of last week and was convince AF would be there the following morning and then nothing, the cramps disappeared again then on Tuesday morning when I woke up the cramps started and 3 hours later AF arrived! It’s so so frustating. How long are you off the pill? Sorry if I’ve already asked this!

Cramps were just my body taunting me again, they’ve disappeared today and no sign of AF. Never thought I’d be actively TTC and wishing for my period to come!

@LifeOfRiley63 Maybe do a test in 4-5 days time and see as yours seems very light and short so may be IB. Mines is now heavier and on the pad and is now a flow so it took a day to get heavier!

Just reading this thread as I've had similar issues with my cycles before, I've found that the light bleeds were breakthrough bleeding rather than true periods. So I hadn't actually ovulated but the uterine lining would shed. Some people still get heavier bleeds when that happens but it can explain a light bleed in a long cycle.

Well at risk of tmi was it red fresh blood? If not then you could be in for a chance!

@LifeOfRiley63 Has yours completely stopped? This is day 2 of mines and its still very light and not filling a pad or barely touching it but when I wipe each time or go to the toilet its definitely there its just not really flowing out and seems thick, im still having cramps too! But im putting it down to just a really light first period.

@gossipgirl28 Before I went on the pill they'd last about 3 full days.

Think I'll do same as you. I had a stonking headache yesterday and major moodswings. Who knows??xxx

@gossipgirl28 I'm not so sure, I've been thinking that too. It wasn't light enough to be spotting but it also was nowhere near heavy enough to be considered a proper period as tampons were barely even half used. HmmHmmHmmHmm

Could your bleeding actually be implantation also. I read it can last up to 2 days. Was it very light?

AF has stopped (already) Hmm after only 1.5 days of light bleeding. Strange Hmm Ah well.

It could be implantation at 7 days. Just keep an eye on it. If it’s not you may need to take a supplement to stop early spotting. That’s one of the reasons I take magnesium.

Ladies I've woken up to very light bleeding. I hope this isn't AF as I'm only on CD21 and 7 days post ovulation. Could it be implantation possibly it is it too early? Xoxo

Will do thanks, I would say today is heavy spotting and no need for a pad as is only when I wipe but it’s there! As lifeofriley said earlier also, I hope this wouldn’t be withdrawal but I had very very light spotting last month for 3 days and assumed that was my withdrawal so really hoping this is my first AF!

Fingers crossed for you that it’s maybe going to be a bfp rather than AF Smile

Well I am having achy stabby feelings like in my bones down there. Can't really describe it but AF cramps for me usually feel more general and less concentrated low down.

Tinker I've had a couple of periods where I've heavy spotted for days before the full flow starting. Give it a couple of days and see what happens maybe?

Thanks all 👍🏻 I’m convinced I’ve been feeling cramps all afternoon since seeing the doctor though 😂 I have a blood test booked in for this Monday which is meant to be my ‘anytime’ tests, am hoping I’ll come on and can use them as my day 2-5 tests!

Now I’m not so sure if this is AF or not! I definitely have AF cramps, but it’s just so so light and really only kinda there when I wipe, it’s not even enough for a pad... it’s more than just spotting when wiping. Was anyone’s this light on their first day??

Yeah its just quite light. Don't think I really need a tampon, might just get some pads instead.
