10dpo BFN - am I out?

So I promised myself that I would follow the advice of fellow Mumsnetters and not test too early....last all week but then couldn’t resist.

AF is due between 1st and 7th January. It will be the 1st if following trend on last cycle! Opk showed positive on 19th December so according to instructions ovulation should have taken place within 12-36 hours?

Hence this is why I think I’m 10dpo but BFN with a FRER this morning.

Do you think that I have just tested too early or that I’m unlikely to get a BFP this month?

Thanks for advice - still pretty new to ttc!

I see. I’m probably looking at it quite naively as I don’t have much experience of bipolar. The most important thing is that you take care of yourself. At least career/studies will give you something to focus on for now. I’m sorry that ttc hasn’t worked out for you. Would you consider adoption at all?
Hi all experienced ladies.. this is my first month of trying and I am at 10 dpo today and got a bfn on frer which was as white as ever.. got a little disheartened as i have been having cramps since 2 days so was hoping to see atleast a faint line on frer this morning. Any suggestions or leads would really help. My AF is not due until Friday. Thanks much.

@Ameliaxx. I’ve just read your other thread in relation to your recent cp. I am so very sorry as I know that you have had a really tough time lately from our previous conversations. Please share this with your DP and his family. You have said that they have always been very supportive of you and I’m sure that it would be no different this time.

Never put yourself down. You seem like a lovely and kind person who is valued and loved by those around them.

I hope that you are ok.

I think our bodies like to play tricks on us at times! Were you actively trying or would it be a happy surprise?

I think I’m close to getting a positive opk but my DH has the flu so think we will need to write this month off. Unless I can convince him otherwise 😉 xx

That was 8dpo and im just getting BfN since so i have no idea whats goin on its never easy is it! Lol no signs of AF yet so we will see what happens hows you? Xx

Im okay thanks doing ny first shifts as an agency nurse this weekend so bit nervous about that! Oh i thought you were ovulating wednesday thats why i asked lol oops 🙈

Haha no where i live if you hadnt got a baby by the time you left school you were a minority! Lol
Aww no way must have been a lucky year for us lol i got engaged years ago but didnt want to get married while still at uni n then we saved up for a bit. Married my first boyfriend luckily lol 😂🙈

I know at school nearly everyone was pregnant im like how the hell did they manage that without trying haha

Yeah i get quite light short periods so wont be that bad ☺️

We got married in september on our anniversary of being together 6 years lol x

Af does have a habit of popping up at the worst time possible. Hopefully you don’t get too many symptoms and that you can still enjoy your birthday 🎉

I’ve been married for 3 years now. You been with your partner long?

Oh no! Well remember from school sex ed it only takes the once! Lol
Today is my ovulation day according to my period tracker because of my positive opks which means AF will be here the 26th and my birthday is the 27th so thats just great haha

How long have you guys been married?

Well you never know what will happen in the future so all you can concentrate on is the present. Sounds as if you will have your hands full for a while anyway!

I’m thinking that fertile week start around Wednesday. It’s not a great time tbh as my DH is away on business for most of that week. So we are only likely to dtd once or twice. Not holding out much hope!

Its okay! Not a lot of people know about it and tbh neither did i until two years ago haha 🙈 tbh i would adopt but not really allowed because of how unstable i am and plus its years of being monitored and looked into they dont make it easy for anyone but it would have been a really good option if i was allowed to. My minds going against my heart lol 🙈
Yeah exactly new job hopefully in a few weeks something to get my head into and doing a masters should keep me occupied n getting stuck into work ☺️ Gave it a go at least!

I think if nothing was wrong with me then i would yeah but with this and then being told theres no chance because of the medication i was on i dont want to put myself through it tbh its just prolonging the heartache each month whereas this month that im not tracking or trying ive been quite well, so i think its given me the answer that when im not trying im mentally well xxx

I wouldn’t give up hope for the future. You were trying for 4 months (when it can take up to 12) and the drug only may make you infertile. So there is still a good chance that it could happen if you decide to try again at a later date.

Yeah especially when i got put on a drug for over two years that can make you infertile (i was never told about this side effect) so guess that drug has worked its magic 😩 so yeah got to fall back on the career side of things now this hasnt worked out bit gutted to know i cant have kids especially at my age and how much we wanted them but just one of those things i guess xxx

Yeah it is stressful enough for me so can only imagine how much it must have affected you. Hope you are doing a little better now that the pressure is off.

The good thing is that you have choices career/study wise x

Yeah stress never helps from what ive read the last 4 cycles lol 🙈
Yeah its getting me doin something at leas and hopefully a new role at the end of it and a possibility of starting my masters in september
Yeah i will do af is due the 26th as ive ovulated earlier this month i have such short cycles lol so im going in for it the 26th think its for the best really this ttc business was making my bipolar worse with the emotions n all the upping and downing for four months was a nightmare lol! Xxxx
