@Colabottles64 Congratulations and well done you! That’s lovely news! I’m 30 weeks now and doing well so far.

Hope you get some great eggs @sunshineandsea - wishing you the absolute best of luck!

All the best to everyone else, wherever you are with things now.

sunshineandsea · 18/09/2018 20:15

Hi cola that's great news, congratulations!
I don't tend to post much these days, just lurk on the infertility threads mainly. I do often think of the ladies on this thread and wonder how you are all doing! We are in the middle of our first IVF cycle, seems to be going ok so far and I have been feeling surprisingly well, just a bit uncomfortable! Egg collection is on Thurs. Desperately hoping this works for us and we can leave the last 2.5 years of shittiness behind us! Xx

Colabottles64 · 18/09/2018 16:24

Just thought I would check in and let you know my little girl was born healthy on Sunday weighing in at 7lbs 1oz. Hope ye are all doing well! Xxx

@Colabottles64. Hey :-) You must be so close to the end now! I'm 12 + 1 :-) I had my scan two days ago, my EDD is 13/02/2019. I had to use clomid in the end but fingers crossed for this baby!

Colabottles64 · 17/07/2018 08:07

@booksandstuff all the best for the treatment, it was month 24 trying when we finally got our bfp after having a lap & dye and removal of Endo. It Is very tough waiting to get pregnant but you are doing all you can and you have to just keep going, the treatments will hopefully work out soon. All best to you xxx (board wise I think the threads on fertility friends can be quite good as you can tend to find people doing same kind of treatment at same time xxx)

@tryingtostayrational so glad you’re over the halfway mark! and congrats on your little girl, is it sinking in yet?? I hope you’re having a good pregnancy.

Wow Cola that’s fabulous! I’m 21 weeks now, also having a girl and doing ok so far.

Best of luck to you @Booksandstuff, and to everyone else still struggling.

HidCat · 17/07/2018 06:38

@Colabottles64 sounds like things are really coming together. Congratulations!

@Booksandstuff I hope this works for you so you don't need full IVF. Just remember it's all positive steps and that's a good thing. 🤞for this month. xx

Booksandstuff · 17/07/2018 03:19

Hi all. I am now lurking on the infertility chats. It's been 21 months for us now.

Congrats @cola! That's wonderful news. How long were you ttc?

I'm on my first week of treatment - daily injections, trigger and then timed intercourse. Oh, the romance! In the 2ww now. Trying to be positive but realistic because chances aren't super high. But there's still a chance! I think we'll have a few more goes of this before we start thinking about IVF. We live overseas and insurance isn't covering it so having to go private. Upside is that it's all happening quickly. Downside is that it is costing us a lot.
I have my ups and downs. Feel despondent quite a lot of the time. But I'll get there one way or another.
Sending everyone good luck and best wishes.
PS - if anyone knows a good infertility board to go to, please let me know!

Colabottles64 · 16/07/2018 23:39

hope your appointment goes well @lookingatthestars on Monday and best of luck with your weight watching too. there are times when I am so disciplined and I try and to eat healthy but long time ttc has its downs

TryingToStayRational · 25/03/2018 09:32

Awww @Colabottles64 thank you! So kind of you to remember me and put a message on! How are you doing? It’s v early days but I feel so lucky to finally have a bfp. And it shows that if I (seriously the biggest wuss on this planet) can manage IVF then truly anyone can. I was all ready to do it again and if I need to I totally will - it wasn’t a barrel of laughs but it was manageable and nowhere near as bad as I thought.

Really hope everyone else gets their bfp soon too. I appreciate so much how lucky I am.

Colabottles64 · 25/03/2018 09:19

Oh my goodness, just seen @tryingtostayrational good news on the infertility board, congratulations!! Absolutely wonderful news and so so happy for you. You are one amazing lady who went from being afraid of medical stuff to your bfp through ivf. I wish you all the best for the next months and a healthy baby xxxxx

Ladies so good to hear from you xxx

@mimilicious013 - all the best to you. Sometimes stopping or taking time out is just necessary. Emotionally it’s so draining, you look after yourself and I hope you feel better for it xxx

@booksandstuff did you get that awful flu? I know a few people who got totally floored by it, hope you feel back to full strength soon. And enjoy that drink when you get it :)

@lookingatthestars89 do you track bbt? Its a bit of a palaver but it might be useful for a month or two to work out if you ovulated. I found I always timed the bloods wrong but maybe that’s just me :) good luck with the sugar cut xxx

@betsyboo87 good luck with the progesterone. It’s a bit exciting in a way when they recommend something and there is a bit of new hope - fingers crossed this gets you over the line! X

@sunshineandsea hope you are well too and feeling better xxx

Hi everyone, it’s good to hear from you all. I haven’t logged in for quite awhile.

Sunshine and books I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had a rough time. I hope you’re recovering ok.

Cola it’s lovely to hear that your pregnancy is progressing so well. This gives m me hope!

I’ve had some more tests, I have low progesterone which could be why I spot for a week before af every month. I’m on my first month of progesterone tablets so see if they have any effect. Slightly annoyed that my previous gynae refused to do blood tests a year ago as we could have detected this then but I guess there’s no point dwelling on it.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/03/2018 09:34

@Colabottles64 Hi :-) I hope you're still well. You must be coming up for 16 weeks?

Still no bfp for me yet.

I'm 28 my DH is 37. I am ttc no.4 (No. 2 with DH) and have been ttc for a year now. I had a mc in September. Since I last spoke to you I have been diagnosed with PCOS (confirmed by a scan) and DH and been told he has a morphology of 3%! We were floored to be honest, seeing as we have DD conceived once after that. His GP said to keep trying for another year and then if no bfp then look into IVF with ICSI.

I've started to cut out sugar and I'm working on losing weight to see if that will help things on my side as there's a question mark over whether I'm actually ovulating or not (last two day 21 tests were 17 and

Booksandstuff · 21/03/2018 08:52

Hi @Cola, so pleased to hear everything is going well!

Oh @sunshine, I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you're feeling much better now. Good that you have the IVF booked in. When do you start?

@Mimi - sending you good wishes.

I've now had all the tests (all results fine), including scans during my February cycle to see how the follicles were developing. Based on what my gynae said, my period came too early. But it was a weird one that month. Old blood and no pain. That has never happened, so who knows... Then at the end of Feb I got quite sick and have been off work for four weeks now. I'm almost back to normal, but it has meant TTC is on hold.

The gynae has said I should go back to see her in August for the next step - IUI - it'll be 22 months for us then. Being sick has been a distraction for me and I'm looking forward to just going back to work and being normal for a bit. and being able to have a drink!

Hope everyone else is doing well. xxx

Mimilicious013 · 07/03/2018 08:12

sorry you are going through a rough time @sunshineandsea.hope you are feeling better now and ivf works quickly for you.

oh my @colabottles64 , time does fly. hope you are enjoying every day of your pregnancy .super excited for you. a bump pic for us soon . take care of yourself .

sadly for me, I have stopped ttc. it was driving me mad. this would be cycle 30 eeeish.

Colabottles64 · 28/02/2018 13:18

Oh @sunshineandsea that sounds so scary and tough, I hope you’re recovering well physically and coping emotionally. You have been through the ringer!!
All the best to you as you prep for ivf and take a bit of time out. I don’t know if it’s something you’ve tried out and I know everyone finds what works for them, but I did find accupuncture helped me with relaxing and coping with all my overwhelming emotions and I’ve had two lots of counselling over the last two years too that helped me to get through. Hope you find the things that help, and that your other half is dealing ok too xxx

HidCat · 28/02/2018 11:09

@sunshineandsea hope your recovery is quick and the IVF works for you. So sorry you're going through all this.

sunshineandsea · 28/02/2018 09:22

Hi cola really glad everything is going well for you!

I am still here, more lurking these days though and I think of all of you often too.

We are nearly at the 2 year mark now and things have gone from bad to worse for us! I was on clomid for 4 months, really suffered with the side effects and although it made me ovulate at the right time no pregnancy.

Then a month ago I ended up in A&E with severe abdo pain, which turned out to be a massive ovarian cyst (maybe caused by the clomid) and severe infection. I had to have major surgery to remove the cyst, an ovary and a tube. It was all pretty traumatic and of course means TTC is on hold for a while whilst I recover.

We are being referred to start IVF in a few months, so trying to focus on getting my mind and body in the right place for it. I'm so scared it won't work or will unearth more problems. I just seem to be on the wrong side of the statistics every step of the way!

Hope the rest of you are having better luck than me xxx
