TTC for nearly a year. Have had many a disappointments most months. Any ho. I'm 3 days late. Getting excited naturally. How soon should I do a test. I've heard not until 10 days after 1st day of missed period? Any advise?

If you want to find out how far you're gone and also possible due date, google due date calculator. This is the nhs one. It'll tell you how many weeks and I think there are links to the different developmental stages, too. www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/due-date-calculator.aspx

Doctors normally go from first day of your last period then scan normally knocks or adds between 7 and 14 days off/on. Congratulations :)

Now then quick question how do i work out how far gone I am? I always thought it was from the date on conception but other sites are saying it's from the first day of your last period?

Thanks guys. Am keeping it to myself for the next week or two as I've had 2 miscarriages in the last year. Around the 5/6 week mark. Also a close family member has sadly passed away. So it's best I just say nothing. So glad I have mumsnet to discuss it x

Update. Put off testing before christmas. Just couldn't bear the thought of a negative it would have put me in such a bad mood. On a dpuble.shift tomoz so Wed it is. 1 week late now so getting my hopes up and already making plans for next year. Silly isn't it? Just gettin carried away with it all! Will defo update wed. Thanks for info and input I haven't talked today one in real life x

Sorry guys not yet. Had to help a neighbour out with childcare as she had a family emergancy. Then I just flopped into bed. Now on a double.shift at work so can't get near a.supermarket until 10pm tonight...... Sad

Bubblegum it's tough isn't it. I had another family baby announcement yesterday so feeling super crap today Sad Af due between Tues and Fri next week and I'm so so hoping but know it won't be
