Just a moan really! Day 9 of using clearblue digital ovulation test and I want to stomp on that flashing smiling face! Got 1 day low fertile and 8 days high, give me my peak day already, I feel like it is teasing me!

Clear blue digital

Hi
Started using clear blue digital this month the day after my period finished (30/10). Had flashing face 3rd nov followed by static face 4th nov. Continued testing and this morning 10th nov I have another flashing face. How can this be?
Thanks in advance

Blissfulignorance · 02/01/2018 19:18

Thought I'd update

I got a bfp, can't say it was all down to using the clear blue ovulation tests or not but I think it certainly helped. Good luck to you all.

bubblybrit · 16/12/2017 22:19

@surreygirl87. Usually when you get the static on clearblue you would expect to ovulate with 12-36 hours (at least if you go by the instructions). So I’d be dtd tonight and tomorrow if possible just to be sure....

ThunderboltsLightning · 16/12/2017 10:15

Cheapies are the way forward. You can see the line with your own eyes.

surreygirl1987 · 16/12/2017 09:53

Arghhh last month these worked great but thus month i went from low to peak (static smiley) with no flashing smiley! If I was low yesterday morning but peak today, when do I ovulate? Tomorrow? Just dtd... should j try again this eve or Tomorrow??

bubblybrit · 16/12/2017 08:52

@charlie1234567. I’ve never needed a blood test before but can usually get a doctor appointment same day so fx!

charlie1234567 · 15/12/2017 23:30

@bubblybrit okay good shout, just make sure you thin about timings, 21 days have to be done 7days before the end of your stake, and I don't know what's it like getting a blood test where you are. I am lucky and have a walk in clinic so dinner I could go on my specific day x

bubblybrit · 15/12/2017 22:33

Thanks @charlie1234567. Think I’m going to see how this month goes and then make a call. Even if only to put my mind at ease

charlie1234567 · 15/12/2017 22:14

@bubblybrit I stared using cheapies in the afternoons to help catch the surge. I went to the docs with 4 months f no peak and they got me a 21 day test straight away! Might be worth it to put your mind at rest!

bubblybrit · 15/12/2017 22:11

@charlie1234567. I’ve no idea what is happening with me at the moment! Just keeping my fx that I get a static or else that will be 2 months in a row without one Sad

charlie1234567 · 15/12/2017 21:27

@bubblybrit I got my flashing first on cd 9 this month. But last month I got flashing from cd7 to 20 with no peak! But I found out form my 21 day bloods that I didn't ovulate, so that would explain it!

bubblybrit · 15/12/2017 20:52

@charlie1234567. When did you first get a flashing smiley? Fx that this is your lucky month.

bubblybrit · 15/12/2017 20:49

Big fat nothing for me at the moment @snufflebabe94! I’m still waiting on the flashing smiley but only on CD14 with cycles that range from 30-36 days. So hoping that flashing smiley appears over the weekend and then static shortly afterwards? I can only hope.....glad you got your static....fx for you this month!

snufflebabe94 · 15/12/2017 20:31

@bubblybrit I finally got my static today (would have been day 7 of flashing) yay! I was about ready to throw the stupid thing down the toilet! Any luck on your end yet? Smile fx for you!

Merrz · 15/12/2017 07:46

I've totally lost trust in cbafm, cd19 still no peak but getting pos opk on cheapies and when i take the clear blue stick out the monitor there are 2 clear lines on it, only thing i can thinl is my fmu misses the surge but i'm done with it anyway! Angry

charlie1234567 · 14/12/2017 22:38

Ladies I just got my first static smilie, cd 15 on a 26 day cycle! And with evening wee???

Keep going everyone they are there somewhere Grin

bubblybrit · 14/12/2017 22:23

I know exactly how you feel @SparkLee! Although I’ve had the flashing smiley with fmu I’ve yet to show peak fertility (static smiley) and was starting to panic as well. Even although only on second cycle ttc! Seems the consensus is once you get flashing that perhaps you test twice per day so you don’t miss surge. I’m going to try that this month. Fx!

SparkLee · 14/12/2017 22:05

Thank you @bubbly that's very reassuring Smile. Mine is usually about 30 days. I'm glad to hear there's hope for me yet! Didn't expect this ttc business to be so bloody panicky and scary!

bubblybrit · 14/12/2017 22:00

I wouldn’t worry just yet @SparkLee. My cycles are usually 30-36 days. Didn’t get my flashing smiley last month until CD21/22

SparkLee · 14/12/2017 21:46

blissful ahh thank you, I obviously didn't read the instructions properly! Blush. I will try first thing tomorrow then. This is all new to me and I expected it to be a doddle. Clearly I have so much to learn about ttc Grin. So I don't need to be worrying quite yet that the test came back with a low chance?

Blissfulignorance · 14/12/2017 21:25

@SparkLee if you're using the Clearblue the instructions say to use FMU once a day until you get the flashing then in order to catch your peak you could test more than once a day but you should hold a wee for at least 4 hours and not over hydrate.

Hope that helps Smile

SparkLee · 14/12/2017 20:01

I used a CB ovulation test today for the first time. I'm on CD 15 and got a low reading :( I'm using a fertility app and it's telling me I'm highly fertile so was very surprised when the OPK came back low. Does it make a difference if you use FMU or test in evening? I'm a first time trier and very confused can someone please shed some light on my situation please? Thank you :)

bubblybrit · 14/12/2017 19:12

@snufflebabe94. Seems to be a bit of a theme that the flashing smiley is taunting us! Fx for your static. I started testing CD10. Now CD13 and nothing! Expecting flashing shortly but holding out for static this month.

snufflebabe94 · 14/12/2017 17:05

Day 7 of flashing smiley faces now... still hoping that static face is going to appear at some point.
