Hello again, so AF is 3 days late, my boobs are swollen and achey and I feel horribly sick but just taken a test and BFN 😔
Please tell me there is some hope it's a false negative. I was completely convinced.

MynameisJune · 12/12/2017 07:14

@lopey sorry it’s not looking positive, be kind to yourself and drink all the wine. Huge hugs.

LopeyLopez · 12/12/2017 06:54

Temp below cover line this morning so sure af will rock up today....☹️

Onto cycle #11...

Fly, the key fertile days are the ones before ov: I read that 94% of pregnancies result from sex either 2 days before, one day before or on the day of ovulation. In fact two days before is meant to be THE best and most fertile day. It allows the sperm to have reached maturity and be able to immediately fertilise the egg, waiting for it as it comes out.

So although the five days before are all good, it's the two before that you want to aim for. A very few pregnancies result from sex earlier, I.e four or five days before....but they are much less likely, and for those of us that, ahem, "struggle", probably a very unlikely prospect.

Fertile cm is also key: regardless of the day they had sex, women who had sex when they had the most fertile cm of their cycle were most likely to get pregnant...

Sorry, I read a lot of stuff online...obsessive, me?!?!?!! 😉

Thanks fly: still no af but have had a solitary pink spot this evening....no flow and it's totally gone now, but this is the classic start of af for me. A few cramps on and off still too. Pretty sure af will be here tomorrow, bang on time. ☹️ well I suppose at least I am predictably regular....

Next I need to book an app to see my Dr as this last month I had both Day 1 and Day 21 bloods done....so I can look forward to the results of those / hope that all is ok!

Good luck to those waiting to test...

@Kit1411 I never got a positive on cheapie OPK's so got Clearblue smiley face ones and I get a positive with them.

Used SMEP and conceived DS. Im doing a variation of it but starting at CD10 as usually ovulate on cd17 so DTD on CD10, 12, 14, 16, 17 & 18.

MynameisJune · 11/12/2017 20:28

@kit it’s the sperm meets egg plan. If you google then it explains what it is, basically a way of trying to guarantee that you’re dtd at the right time.

I never used to get positive opk’s either but I’ve had positives for a while now. Not really sure what changed but I do know how frustrating it is.

Kit1411 · 11/12/2017 20:09

Hi, what is SMEP? I’m not getting a positive ovulation rest, thinking I’m ovulating around middle of the cycle as I’m getting sore boobs and cramps but not getting a positive on the sticks. Anyone else having this?

MynameisJune · 11/12/2017 19:47

DH was taking vits but I need to get him some more.

@fly we are doing SMEP this month so we’re doing 6,8, 9 (positive opk), 10 (peak CB test), 11,12, and 15! Which is possibly overkill as we didn’t need to do 6 and I’m not sure 15 is required but luckily DH is always happy to oblige 🙈

With a longer cycle I would just start a bit later so every other day from day 13 or something. Day 8 is super early if you don’t OV until CD19+

ImpatientMammy · 11/12/2017 19:38

Men not me x

ImpatientMammy · 11/12/2017 19:36

@Flybynight1 my OH says only old me need the vits 😑 I might start sprinkling them on his tea 😂 x

Flybynight1 · 11/12/2017 19:30

Also are the men in your lives on supplements?!

Flybynight1 · 11/12/2017 19:29

You never know paranormal! At the very least good to keep DHs tubes running Wink

Syd I got my bfp for DS at 9DPO so you never know..! It sounds exciting!!! When are you going to test

Lopey hope you've had an AF free day!

I need a plan for this cycle. We never got around to SMEP last cycle and I didn't O until cd19 (think my body is still on a comedown from the implant), what's everyone's thoughts on timing? I'm understanding that it's the 5 days pre-o which are key... do you think the day of ovulation is better than the day before? My cycle seems to show a temp drop a day or 2 before my pos opk, would it make sense to focus on that as a start to frequent dtd? SMEP on a long cycle like mine gets very tedious!!

Paranormalbouquet · 11/12/2017 10:17

I’m fairly sure I’ve already ovulated though- tender nipples and heart rate up 6 beats per minute like most months. Had a transvaginal ultrasound at this stage in october after my chemical and had just ovulated from the right (where cramps were). I don’t generally bother with OPKs as have the clearest ovulation signs, even DH can tell!

There’s been not nearly enough DTD as I’ve been sick and DD has been sick but did manage on Saturday and will have to go again tonight now that I’m feeling better I think. Can’t do any harm. Realistically think I’m not really in with a chance though.

SydBound27 · 11/12/2017 10:09

I'll take an OPK @paranormal! I did an OPK today for absolutely no reason other than to feel I'd 'done something'. SO RIDICULOUS. You're probably not ovulating twice - I've had it when I cramped a bit beforehand but then looking at CM it was clear that it was only later that I ovulated. I think when you're tuning into it, you get more pains than normal. If I were you I'd be dtd as much as possible with a positive OPK... no?

Paranormalbouquet · 11/12/2017 09:53

Well I started getting cramps in my left side as well (in my right 2 days ago). So did another of my cheap OPKs and it’s still glaringly positive on day 3 in a row (I knew there was reason I avoid them!). Am I ovulating twice and therefore in with a shot?! (Sorry Syd wring kind of POAS!).

SydBound27 · 11/12/2017 09:48

@Lopey hopefully you wont have the need for tactical shagging on Christmas night! Fingers firmly crossed for you.

My news is that i have achy boobs and they feel enormous (well, for me!). This was the first sign last pregnancy, so at 5dpo I'm obviously getting ahead of myself.. and i only got my bfp at 14dpo last time.. craaaap i hate waiting!

Any more poas-ers this morning?

MynameisJune · 11/12/2017 09:03

@fly so sorry af arrived, fingers crossed for a January bfp.

@lopey this sounds positive! Hopefully you won’t need the next fertile period!

Paranormalbouquet · 11/12/2017 08:22

Fly I’m sorry to hear that. Lopey Fingers still crossed for you.

Flybynight1 · 11/12/2017 07:31

Lopey fingers crossed that a December BFP is just around the corner but if not you will be in for a creative Christmas! Late night bathroom rendezvous perhaps?! Wink

LopeyLopez · 11/12/2017 07:00

Sorry to hear that fly. I am still in but having af cramps on and off, and still only 12 dpo (I adjusted ff) so not even late yet.

Yeah, my next fertile time coincides exactly with Christmas Day, so how on Earth we can manage to dtd enough whilst staying at someone else's house with DS in the same room do not know....! 😬

Flybynight1 · 11/12/2017 06:40

I'm out. Damn witch got me in the night Sad now to ttc for a January BFP over Christmas with a house full of in-laws...

Paranormalbouquet · 10/12/2017 22:56

June if you dtd every second night you should be covered? Fly OPKs aren’t reliable pregnancy tests- they may be positive in some people/some tests but not in others.

I did another OPK today (just since they were 5 for £1 and have some left!). Was even more positive than yesterday, but am sure I’ve already ovulated (pains Friday/yesterday, heart rate shot up today) so not paying too much attention as assuming it’s catching LH on the way down.

Period due 24/25th December now. Will at least be able to drink my way through the disappointment!

ImpatientMammy · 10/12/2017 22:55

@MynameisJune could you not dtd tonigh anyway? If not sperm can live in your body for quite a while so your still in with a chance x

MynameisJune · 10/12/2017 22:47

I did an opk this morning and got a High reading on the CB but did a normal opk tonight and it’s positive. Tried another CB to see if it’s moved to high but I didn’t leave the test in the pee long enough so it failed! So annoyed now as we were doing every other night so didn’t plan dtd tonight. so annoyed that we’ve mistimed it again.
