Good luck Syd. My period is due Xmas eve/Xmas day depending on whether I ovulated Sunday or Monday. But not hopeful this month!

LopeyLopez · 14/12/2017 17:57

Yeah no pressure Syd but that would be lovely...good luck x

Good luck Syd!

SydBound27 · 14/12/2017 09:33

@lopey I've already started poas and only 8dpo.. all bfn with the slightest hint of a line (in my mind only) so I'm not covering myself in glory so far..! I guess I'll know within a week. My dh birthday is next week so would really love to surprise him with a bfp.. No pressure! Xmas Confused

LopeyLopez · 13/12/2017 18:20

Syd, really hope this month is your month. Fingers crossed.🤞Yes this journey makes all of us a bit mad....

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Onwards and upwards I guess.....will try to get my gp app sorted this week for pelvic examination and scan, and she should have my blood test results by now too so I can see if there's anything untoward there.

Well at least there's no late August baby to worry about for another year now!!!!! (As if that mattered anyway....!)

I think a spring baby would be lovely....so that means getting pregnant next summer. I really hope it happens long before that!!👍

Oh @lopey im so sorry she got you. We were in sync for a while there and i was really hoping this would be your month. Missing the baby you'd started to dream about - yep I've been there too. I remember getting excited a year ago that we might be pregnant for a holiday last July, and it haunted me the whole time when i hadn't had any whiff of a bfp.. still nothing other than a chemical in January.

I've been letting myself believe that this might just be our month, and its so crazy. Ttc is such a drag. Enjoy Christmas and ny and here's to a 2018 bfp xxx

Kit1411 · 12/12/2017 21:45

@Lopey I really do feel for you, I really hope 2018 will be a better year, sending you a hug coz I think you need one.

Paranormalbouquet · 12/12/2017 19:58

Lopey I’m the same. DD is almost 4 and I just see this gap getting bigger and bigger.

I’ve now need to wait to see short cervix team again, decide whether to have a procedure which may or may not help, wait for procedure. So will probably be months before I can try again after this. On upside, procedure being suggested involves a lap so I might be able to convince them to take a look at tubes/uterus generally at same time.

MynameisJune · 12/12/2017 19:22

@lopey completely understand about missing a baby you never had. I was like that last month, I’d convinced myself so much that we’d have an August baby that when af arrived I was gutted a bit more so than normal.

I really thought I’d be pregnant again by after the MC in October, but alas it isn’t to be.

LopeyLopez · 12/12/2017 18:44

So af got me today, the bitch (like your words, @itwontlast so copying them!!!). Rats. Don't know why as we didn't dtd nearly enough last month, or at the optimum time due to illness, but the lack of spotting was making me feel confident towards the end there.....so disappointing as the higher the hopes, the harder the fall.

I was already in love with that little late August baby, so young for her school year but so loved and tended to to make up for any so called disadvantages..... and she was always a girl, because we dtd only four days before o and if that's the case apparently you're more likely to get a girl...(the 'boy' sperm are faster swimmers but die sooner; the 'girl' sperm are slower but stick around longer if the egg is slow to appear).

Isn't it crazy the stories that come into your head whilst ttc? I miss a baby I never even had.

Really miserable that in nearly a year of seriously active ttc with charting and opks and agnus castus and vit b and literally ALL the shizzle....I have had not even a whiff of a bfp. Not even a faint line or a squinter. No need to ever even use a test; af always appears. Only once ever late and then af just followed after days of spotting and a weirdly long luteal phase...not sure what happened that month.

Well rant over 😬 sorry folks, just so fed up with this state of affairs...into the New Year and soon another birthday and another year older making it even harder to conceive....☹️☹️😞 Feel better for blurting it all out on here...now back off to cuddle the lovely boy I do have xxx

Kit that looks like it’s very nearly positive!

I’ve just got home to another letter about my cervix. Suggesting maybe a pre-pregnancy procedure might decrease the risks of future pregnancies. Sigh. A sibling for my DD is seeming ever further away.

Kit1411 · 12/12/2017 14:27

Thanks @MynameisJune feeling a little more positive now.

MynameisJune · 12/12/2017 13:47

@kit I always give the opk’s 5 mins as the IC are slow to develop. From that pic I’d dtd tonight and tomorrow night as well.

Kit1411 · 12/12/2017 13:10

Guess i looked too soon at the ovulation test as it’s pretty dark now, do you reckon I will be ovulating tomorrow as my app predicts? (Pic attached).

Would be great if my CM decided to show up and help out too, but that would be too easy. Helping things along with fertility lube, but it’s knowing the time (dtd regularly though) but trying not to stress about it is the hard part.

Kit1411 · 12/12/2017 12:29

Thanks ladies, Paranormal my periods since coming off the pill in Sept have been 28 days, 27 days then 26 days. If this one is 28 days then it says I’ll ovulate tomorrow (on the Flo app). I felt a little crampy today but not as much as last month when I thought I was ovulating. But just done an ovulation test albeit on a cheapie (waited for 4 hours without weeing) and it’s not coming up positive. Fingers crossed when we dtd tonight it’ll be the right time but I’m not so sure.

Flybynight1 · 12/12/2017 09:46

Shite sorry I started writing that comment earlier this morning, just finished now and didn't scroll up!! Stupid me

Flybynight1 · 12/12/2017 09:45

Lopey that's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks! Having only just discovered this sperm maturity thing the other day and trying to understand the timings of everything... how long sorry survive, take to mature, how long it takes to travel 'up there', how long the egg is viable for... it blows my mind really!! Haha with DS we dtd 4 days on the trot 2 days before, the day of and the day after, and I thought we got the timings right this month but actually looks like we missed the day of O according to ff. I guess it just wasn't meant to be... hope you have an AF free day!!!

MynameisJune · 12/12/2017 09:18

Sorry for af arriving @itwontlast big hugs and all the wine.

ImpatientMammy · 12/12/2017 08:54

Awww bless you I hope you get you BFP soon x

Itwontlastforever · 12/12/2017 08:49

AF just arrived, as if to rub it in. That bitch

Itwontlastforever · 12/12/2017 08:22

Possibly. I had sinusitis so we only managed to DTD twice but I got cramps a few days later. That was only about a week ago.
I think I'll have to buy an expensive digital test tomorrow. That was the only one I could get a BFP with my first

Paranormalbouquet · 12/12/2017 08:16

@Itwontlastforever- there is hope when period is late. Could you have ovulated late?

Paranormalbouquet · 12/12/2017 08:14

Lopey sorry to hear it’s not looking positive. Kit if you have a regular cycle of 26-35 days you are almost certainly ovulating, even if OPKs don’t pick it up- they aren’t the most reliable measures.

I agree with Lopey getting in before ovulation appears to be most effective (I read all the science too!).

Definitely post ovulation here, sore breasts, bloated and hairs getting greasier. Next fertile period will be early January so at least we will be back from staying with family and hopefully I won’t have a flu!
