Enormous congratulations Kit. Wishing you a very happy and healthy nine months ahead.

Wendykennedy · 28/12/2017 08:27

@Kit1411 congrats!!!!

I'm cd38 with cramping (where my ovaries are) with no signs of af so still hoping and praying :-)

Enjoy your moment!!!

Kit1411 · 28/12/2017 08:17

@Kit1411 I'd wait till tomorrow and do it with fmu. The first ic you did this morning looks quite good though! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

Kit1411 · 27/12/2017 10:50

Just wondering whether to test on a digital today or if that’ll be wasted, should I do it with fmu tomorrow instead?

muffyduffster · 27/12/2017 10:29

kit looks good! Fingers crossed!
I'm away with friends for new year so think I'm going to test on nye just in case, period not due till day after, will any of the early response tests show up by then?

lexijadye · 27/12/2017 10:26

Congratulations to all those who got their BFP's this month!
AF was due today, it is only 10:30am, so still early in the day. Managed to NOT poas at all during the TWW!
Contemplating sending OH out for one when he's sorted. 😂
Anyone else due today? 🙈

Paranormalbouquet · 27/12/2017 09:47

Sorry about AF RhiBee and June.

Kit that looks like a line to me! I think different tests have different strengths- I took a boots own brand and a frer on same urine at 12dpo- boots had a barely there line, frer had a clear one. I’ve stayed away from the tests since Xmas Eve (which is killing me!) so no idea if my lines got darker or not. With DD I had very faint lines until around 5weeks and the ultrasounds all agreed with my dates so I’d try not to pay too much attention to that (I say hypocritically as I obsess myself!). I also don’t have darker lines in the mornings at all.

Tentative congratulations anyway!

I’ve had cramping and breasts less sore so am constantly worrying here but trying to keep busy as I can’t do anything to influence the outcome.

MynameisJune · 27/12/2017 09:46

@kit looks like a line to me! Fingers crossed af stays away. Tentative congratulations 🤗

Kit1411 · 27/12/2017 08:32

Thanks @Lopey, pretty sure on ovulation date as I was testing, have been drinking a bit in the night as I have a bit of a stuffy nose and quite a sore throat (although seems to disappear when I wake up), good to hear about the ic not being too accurate. Hoping it’s not just a faulty one, maybe I’ll see if my period comes tomorrow, doesn’t feel like it at the mo and I normally have some cramps, had terrible back ache though.

LopeyLopez · 27/12/2017 08:21

Kit, I think that looks good....tentative congratulations!

Line could be faint due to many things...type/quality of test (it is an ic and they do vary, even within the same pack I'm told; depends on how much dye has been put in each one); was ov later than expected or are you dead sure of the date? Urine weaker due to drinking lots?

Hope it gets darker soon anyway and you enjoy this time xxx

So I’m 13 or 14 dpo (period due tomorrow) and I just did a cheapie test with fmu, and it’s come up with a very faint line (see image, hope you can see it). Bit confused though, read it fairly soon (not left for ages so can’t be evap line) but wouldn’t it be darker by now if I were pregnant?

So sorry for af arriving @rhibee. Have all the alcohol today and get back to it after af has gone. There is a Jan thread if you want to join us. Big hugs

RhiBee29 · 26/12/2017 09:46

AF arrived this morning Sad

On the positive side my cycle was textbook, ovulation cd14 and 13 day luteal phase for the first time since mc. Going to focus on weight and fitness in 2018 and hopefully the elusive bfp won't take too long.

Peanut1980 · 25/12/2017 22:19

It’s hard @cariad2017 as I find it hard to think about being positive and allowing myself to think it might end with a BFP because I’ve cried when it hasn’t. I totally relate to what you’re saying. I’ve got my first appointment mid Jan so I’ll report back. You can find videos on hypnotherapy for fertility on YouTube xxx

RhiBee29 · 25/12/2017 11:07

Congratulations @MonaTheMoaner

No luck here, bfn, sore boobs gone, waiting for AF. 2017 can do one, it was shit!!! Bring on 2018.

Merry Christmas all!!!

Cariad2017 · 25/12/2017 10:31

Lopey - I definitely think a month of taking it easy on the ttc front can do us all good from time to time, and the reality is that unless you completely miss ov, you’re probably in with as good a shot as you’ve had in any other month! I shall be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Cariad2017 · 25/12/2017 10:29

Self preservation not presentation!!

Cariad2017 · 25/12/2017 10:28

Sorry to hear AF has found you as well Mynameis. It genuinely sucks. Please do come join me in my feast of merriment today - we can drown our sorrows together.

Welcome Peanut. Hypnotherapy sounds interesting - do let me know how you get on. I do sometimes wonder whether I’ve got into such a negative frame of mind about our monthly prospects now that we’re 16 cycles in that I’m essentially talking myself out of pregnancy each cycle as soon as I ov. It’s a self presentation mechanism as I was so hopeful for our first 6 or so months of ttc and ended up being utterly devastated each time AF arrived, whereas now I just expect her to rock up, but I can’t help but wonder whether my negative state of mind is dashing any slim prospects of a sticky BFP we might have.

Paranormal - you’re absolutely right - I am totally one of those control freaks who needs a plan! 2017 was horrible on this front as so much was up in the air on this front (including pregnancy and deciding whether to move job and house). 2018 is unlikely to be much better, but at least I’ve learnt the hard way not to put life on hold “in case” a pregnancy is forthcoming.

Merry Christmas to you all! Here’s hoping that for those of us who have struggled to achieve sticky BFPs (or as in my case a BFP at all in 2017), our lucky stars align in 2018 and we experience a flurry of BFPs before this Winter’s our. Xxx

MynameisJune · 25/12/2017 08:48

Just when I thought all the presents were done, af has arrived 🙄 oh well, at least we can move onto the next cycle asap

LopeyLopez · 25/12/2017 07:37

Oh yeah and HAPPY CHRISTMAS everyone! 😃😂

We're staying at in-laws and then straight onto my parents after that....not much chance to dtd, and I am about to ovulate....this month probably not for me. Also I haven't got my thermometer or any opks - always at the most crucial time!! - so I will have no idea of o day or temp rise or anything.... I will prob go from o pain and use that to count dpo on ff. Maybe it will do me good to relax a bit...

Wow, congratulations paranormal and mona!!! Great to be away a few days and come back to two BFPs!!!! Good luck to those still waiting x

MynameisJune · 25/12/2017 07:29

@cariad so sorry for af arriving. We’re both going to get bfp’s in 2018 one way or another

Paranormalbouquet · 25/12/2017 07:02

Cariad what I started but appear to not have finished was that I cope very badly without a plan. I do much better when I have mapped out a course. Although I appreciate that’s not the same for everyone.
