Me and my partner have been ttc since miscarriage 2 months ago. I’m a bit late so I took a test this morning- this is the result. What do you think? I thought it was negative but the more I look the more unsure I am. Let me know your thoughts? I was due 3 days ago xxx

I'm so sorry, I just read the last few comments, which I should of done before my previous post. I'm so sorry x

penny567 · 06/12/2017 11:51

They all look positive to me. Congratulations x

KTD27 · 06/12/2017 09:09

Oh that’s just horrible treatment. I’m so so sorry

FML2017 · 06/12/2017 09:03

So sorry Katie, they treated you horribly. I've had the same experience when I miscarried before at around 13 weeks. Epau refused to see me and told me it was pointless and nothing they could do so to just go home and deal with it. When I had my next miscarriage a few months later I didn't even bother contacting them.

Hope you feel better x

Doubt I’ll be going into work today*

I tried to get through to epau but they essentially said there’s no way without doctors referral, and I just can’t be bothered anymore:( I know what’s happening, my last miscarriage me and my partner were running round like headless chickens going to doctors, women’s wards, a&E etc, but no one was really of any use. Especially once it had already begun. Just been at my boyfriends with my feet up resting. Had extremely heavy bleeding and leaked through so many heavy pads so I doubt I’ll be going in today:( thanks everyone

Omg how utterly unprofessional and insensitive of him! Id put in a complaint about that!

LelouchviBritanniacommandsyou · 06/12/2017 05:56

I'm so sorry to hear how you were treated at a&e. I've heard of too many doctors treating their patients like that unfortunately. It's also frustrating to be told the tests were negative when both you and your friend could see the lines.

Would it be possible for you to self-refer to the EPU? I understand you'll want it recorded in case it happens again, though iirc two miscarriages doesn't raise your chances of a third so hopefully you won't be needing it :)

I really hope you get the support you need and will have your rainbow baby soon Flowers

Sorry I meant yesterday Sunday and saturday* got my days confused

Katiekiara · 05/12/2017 08:25

Thankyou everyone for the support:( i went to a&e yesterday and the treatment I received was horrible:( I went to see the doctor who did a pregnancy test and he said it’s negative, he showed me and my friend it and we could both see a faint positive. We told him this but he wasn’t having any of it. I pulled out 6 positive tests from 3 different brands in my bag which had all been positive from yesterday, monday and Sunday. Which he basically said were all incorrect, he said he could get me into epau but that would mean he has to lie and say it’s pregnant when it’s not, I told him that it’s my last miscarriage it came back negative at this hospital the first time and then when I went back 2 days later to a different hospital, their test was positive. I also explained that of course it’s not my fmu and it still is faintly positive! We could see the line! He said if it’s not two strong lines it doesn’t count. Also can I just say the test he used wasn’t fab, it was a blue line one and looked really cheap, when I went to this exact hospital last time and it came back Negative the other doctor even said their tests are rubbish. This doctor, He just dismissed me and said essentially if I get unbearable pain and unusual clotting that isn’t a period to come back. I just think he took me for a mug, it’s been nearly 7 weeks since my last period, I’ve been throwing up, I have altogether had 7 positive tests and he couldn’t be bothered to further investigate or even do bloods for me. I was so upset for wasting my time and for what he was saying to me. I’m not an idiot I know what happened to me 2 months ago I just wanted it correctly logged on system as if it kept happening I’d want it looked into- that is all:( think I might take today off work, in pain.

I’m on my way to a&e now to see a doctor and get referred to have a scan and find out what’s going on. So upset as I did only have a miscarriage 2 months ago so hoping it’s not another one :(

stoptheclock1000 · 04/12/2017 17:14

Oh no sending hugs Thanks

I'm sorry to hear of your miscarriage- did you get a negative test after that? Mine took about 3 weeks to be negative and my periods were all over the place too.

Big virtual hug

Katiekiara · 04/12/2017 17:09

I’ve just started bleeding :/ I’ve had positive tests since I last posted but now I’m confused:( left work early

Bluefrog26 · 01/12/2017 23:50

I'd take that as a positive!! Congrats

Misslemon01 · 01/12/2017 21:19

@Katiekiara you must be spending a fortune on tests! Get those little HCG sticks that the NHS uses on eBay for a couple of £ per multipack. I’m not sure why people say opening the test dries it out, as the NHS HCG stick has no plastic outside to start with and it obviously works fine.

Congratulations by the way! 👶🏻

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 21:18

Fingers crossed**

HoneyCake86 · 01/12/2017 21:18

Ah hopefully your doc and pathology can come up with some answers for ya. To be fair, that test wouldnt be positive unless there was pregnancy hormone knocking about at higher levels. There must be a pregnancy at some point for that. Fingers that the cramps are just ligaments softening under hormone influence, and nothing sinister. Do you know when you will get the results of the test sent off?

Katiekiara · 01/12/2017 21:14

Really? Perhaps it’s that? Had such bad cramps aswell they’re nothing like what I had when I was miscarrying but still quite sore x
