Lookingatthestars i can imagine how bloody frustrating that is... i wonder how high a level that test wants to give a static smiley, particularly with what jojo said there? 🤔 i mean wouldn’t a surge of any kind be a good sign. Perhaps some women’s levels dont peak as high as others when ovulating i dunno. Sounds like a right pain because of not being able to pinpoint an exact day. Would it help to test twice a day, just incase it hits peak and drops again in a small space of time? The ov test i did yesterday went faint to strong within 8 hours of each other. Fx that static appears soon xx

So i think its a definite positive today the lines match... but i dont think i have OV’d just yet.. ov pain is building but its not excruciating yet so i think later this afternoon. BD’d last night and night before but we’re going away tonight... if we didnt BD tonight, it wouldnt be bad would it? I mean there should still be spermage knocking about waiting wouldn’t there?

I used the CB advanced digital for the first time last month. I had 10 days of flashing smilies before I gave up 😩 i used it yesterday and low fertility. Today it's shown the test sign and book which means retest so I've used 3 today with the same symbol. What a waste and they are so expensive! I might give them a ring.

FruitandNutty yes i think these threads do really help you feel less alone about it all. Where about are you in this cycle? Af is due next week for me and this is the longest 2ww yet!

When we started ttc our plan was to just see what happens and not stress for a few months and if i wasn't pregnant by Nov we'd have a few months off then start officially ttc in spring next year but in my head i just assumed i would be pregnant by now and i didn't expect to get so obsessed and mental about about it so this month feels like a bit of pressure, i don't think i can bring myself to have a break from trying now although i haven't told dh my this

It has to match or be stronger than the control line to be positive. Yesterday it was completely neg without even a shadow of a second line, so im optimistic about it. I bought these ones from amazon 20 + 10 preg test strips for £4. Bargain :)

Yes thats correct bella.. i did another this evening to double check and the line is getting stronger... i reckon its just beginning to surge and tomorrow will be the day

@merrz hello again, I recognise you from another board! It’s good to know that you are in a similar position too. That’s such a lovely way to help the time passing seem less difficult. I might try that too. Really hoping we both get our bfps soon.. I’m feeling a bit more positive after seeing everyone on this thread!

@heavenforbid Ha Ha yeah by the time you get to cd18 and you've done it every other day it's like "Really? Again?" Lol. I'm not doing too bad with it this cycle - I don't mean to be tmi but I find suggesting a quickie a bit easier if it's a day when you're not really feeling it x

I’m going to jump on this bus, even though I wasn’t sure about really trying this month, as it’ll be awkward not drinking over Christmas! But as it’s only month #2, I have no idea how easy it’ll be. I may as well try & any disappointment will be helped by Christmas wine. & my next FW will fall between Xmas & NYE. Handy!

Moment of truth - 16th Dec

I'm cd22 today and had a weird burning sensation on the right and centre all day. Last cycle was 35 days so ovia app thinks today is likely peak fertile day. But cycles used to be 27/28 days so could be much earlier. Not using OPK's (would probably help). Had lots of ewcm on Monday and nothing since so it's a complete guessing game.

@HoneyCake86 forgive me if I’m wrong as yours might be different to the ones I had but shouldn’t the stronger line be the one nearer the ‘mark’ bit to be positive?

@pixielove123 not sure sorry, have you had any more EWCM since then?

I'm officially in cd 1! So now fully on this bus. I knew I wasn't going to get a BFP as we'd dtd at all the wrong times and none of the right ones! Did it before and after the fw and not at all on the the days we needed to.

Shifts fall much better for December so hoping I'm in with a chance this month!! So AF (and wine) for tonight but at least I know I'll definitely be due to test on 23rd December. Roll on!

Hi guys, i'm popping in and out between the November bus, af due next wed/thurs but going to try and hold off testing until 1st Dec if she doesn't show by then.
FruitandNutty I'm very similar, age 29, ttc #1, cycle 5 of actively trying although been off contraception since March. I'm feeling a bit fed up too, it's hard going isn't it.

Since we started ttc I've been really conscious of saving money and have been putting past some every week for the "baby fund" i feel this helps me deal with the bfn's a little better, i try to think on well that's another month of savings i'll have, not a huge comfort but gives me something to focus on

Haha definitely Looking - fun for the first week or so and then knackering! Doesn't help that I am full of cold and really not looking or feeling my best - nothing says sexy like a face full of snot

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit emosh today. Hopefully you'll get the static smiley tomorrow! My best friend is definitely pregnant (she hasn't told me yet but I'm 100% sure) and I'm feeling stupidly sad about it (at the same time as being happy for her of course.. just a bit jealous.)

Ooh Fx Honey ! I am watching all of you guys posting about OPKs and the clear blue smiley thing with great intrigue as thinking about trying OPKs in the new year but haven't a clue about them. So I can argue that being on MN is an educational experience for me

Looks like ill be ovulating later or tomorrow- got an ache deleloping in my right side. So im estimating my test day to be 7 dec. so im officially on the dec bus!

@heavenforbid Dtd every other day when you tend to ovulate late can be exhausting (talking from experience!) X
