December Bus - Christmas Wishes

Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

Anyone else's DP/DHs feel under pressure? I think I've got so caught up in OPKs and monitoring this and that, that I didn't even realise my DP felt so under pressure until the last few times we tried to BD that he couldn't finish...😔 only then did he say he felt it was all just too regimented and planned. It's so difficult though to not be so obsessed about getting the timing just right. Anyone else felt this way? I feel pretty bad about it now...I need to stop stressing!!!

Babydreaming · 28/11/2017 09:33

I think I’m 7dpo and feeling a bit nauseous today! I often feel nauseous in literal phase though so trying not to read into it, probs just the rising progesterone!

Babydreaming · 28/11/2017 09:32

Oh wait sorry...somehow I read that as static smiley 🙈 Sorry to hear that...the waiting game is awful! Hopefully tomorrow?

Babydreaming · 28/11/2017 09:31

Yaaaaaaay! Congratulations. It’s frustrating but not unusual to ovulate late, I often do! Makes your cycle longer though too though so very frustrating. With my little boy I ovulate late in the cycle and that turned into a successful pregnancy!

Were the tests for hormone levels?

LookingAtTheStars89 · 28/11/2017 09:29

Cd 19 aaaaaaaaaaand.....flashing smiley! I'm telling you, I am going to throw that damn holder out of the window lol! Got a call from the doctors surgery saying that I need to ring the rest results line at 1pm today, so I'm hoping that it's not bad news. Will update when I know.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 27/11/2017 21:25

@Pinkslink17 Take some with you lol! I know What you mean. Mine are between 28 and 32 days long! I never know how long it's going to be!

surreygirl1987 · 27/11/2017 21:13

And @sparklesdontshine I reckon 6 days po is def too early (though totally understand your wanting to test all the time!!)... would be unusual to detect preg that early! Tomorrow's another day...! X

surreygirl1987 · 27/11/2017 21:11

Hi all, hope all going okay. Can anyone possibly please take a look at my chart and tell me if FF' S ovulation date looks sensible, or whether I might have had delayed ovulation by a couple of days? Slowly driving myself mad over tww! Had loads of sex during FW so was really hopeful this month, esp with a big temp rise over weekend... but pretty dejected by massive dip in temp this morn, boobs no longer hurting (progesterone drop ready for AF?) and negative hpts (thoigh admit it is still early days!). How can we go through this every month without going insane?!

I know, I was just thrown with my last period only lasting 26 days and that’s the only one I’ve had that’s not been regulated by my pill. I fly to Paris on Thursday until Sunday and I think waiting until Monday will kill me Sad i have got clear blue hpts but everyone seems to go with frer, I’m just desperate to know either way!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 27/11/2017 19:38

@HoneyCake86 Yeah, I have had thyroid problems before. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and it almost killed me! Apparently once it's been overactive it gets damaged and can cause it to be underactive :-(. I know there are pills you can take but I hate taking meds.

@Pinkslink17. I'm no expert but I think if you normally have a 28 day then you go on 28 days but you could go on 26 this time just to be safe? If it was me I would wait until Saturday to test to avoid the disappointment of a bfn when you could wait two more days and possibly get a bfp :-)

HoneyCake86 · 27/11/2017 19:24

Have*

HoneyCake86 · 27/11/2017 19:23

Lookingatthestars gave you had any thyroid problems or is it like a checkup? I have underactive thyroid and on levothyroxine, when has been pretty good at stabilising it. Hopefully your results are good 🤞🏼

Pinkslink17 · 27/11/2017 19:08

Hi everyone! I’m very new to this and haven’t writing on a forum before, this is my first cycle ttc and I think I’m due on between Thursday and Saturday so I’m not sure when to test! I’ve been on the pill for 9 years and came off in October to allow my body to have a normal cycle and give myself a chance to work out how many days I’d have each cycle. My pill made my cycle very regular (28 days) and my October one was 26 days, so should I go off 26 days? I’ve not tracked my ovulation other than through an app so I was hoping to test tomorrow (possibly 2 days before AF)

mamaiFifi · 27/11/2017 18:08

Thanks @LookingAtTheStars89 yes still on the Dec bus.

If my period was a week late last month and back to 21 day cycle this month should I assume it's 21 days when ttc? I am so confused and not feeling very hopeful Sad

heavenforbid · 27/11/2017 15:59

Fingers crossed Looking !
I had my results back last week but I missed the call from the doctor so didn't get a chance to question them. He said they all looked normal in a voicemail though so I guess that's good!

Let us know how you get on x

spydie · 27/11/2017 14:34

peterpanwendy I'm sure I would have caved by now if they were not so expensive!! I'm trying to sit on my hands until at least Friday.. .. struggling at work today and desperately wishing for some positive news.

I'm sure my body is producing phantom symptoms too. Keep feeling like I have achey boobs, but I swear it is entirely in my head as it happened last cycle too and BFN. I never ever ever get sore boobs. The only time I did was about 10 dpo when I fell pregnant with my first, hence I think I am slowly losing the plot and making things up Confused

Babydreaming · 27/11/2017 13:21

What do you guys think?

I had pos ovulation strips on sun 19th/mon 21st like dark as control from first pee on sun to last pee on mon but then neg again the tues morning...can’t work out if I then ovulated on tues or weds?! It’s so confusing - either way I’m 5 or 6 dpo.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 27/11/2017 13:17

I just called my GP surgery to see of my test results were back yet (thyroid/fbc/b12/lh/fsh/haemolysis - wow that's a lot lol) and they were like "The Dr has them...but she hasn't looked at them yet, call back tomorrow" I'm dreading the results, especially the thyroid and hormone ones!

Babydreaming · 27/11/2017 13:17

@sparklesdontshine don’t be disheartened - you’re not out yet! The embryo implants 6-10 days post ovulation and that’s when it makes the hormone detected by pregnancy test.even then it can take a few days to reach levels detectable by the test! I’d leave it a few days :)

peterpanwendy · 27/11/2017 12:27

@spydie I bought some the other day too. Don't wanna waste them because they're like gold but also dying to know! I am CD24 about 8dpo due on in 4 days so might do around Wednesday or wait till the weekend if I can!

Just did a first response 6 days po, negative

LookingAtTheStars89 · 27/11/2017 11:23

Sorry I meant pee not pre!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 27/11/2017 11:23

@HoneyCake86 Ha Ha yes, definitely a scream into the pillow moment! On a better note, I just did a ic opk and the line was a bit darker and that was with a 2hr30 hold with slightly concentrated pre so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

HoneyCake86 · 27/11/2017 10:46

Aph fingers crossed for you! I use ic’s and i got a positive 2 days after the first faint line appeared so hopefully not much longer. Good luck xx
