Hi all,

I’ve decided to take the plunge and make a December Bus. I know it’s still early in Nov but for those of us whose cycles fall early in the month it’ll be nice for us to have a new thread!

I’m 23
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Had so many symptoms in October (unusual for my regular AF) so felt so disappointed when it wasn’t meant to be.

Anyway let’s hope December is our month and hope for that Christmas surprise! SmileHalloween GrinStar

Definitely more of a party bus for me!! I don't give up caffeine or alcohol. Not that I'm a massive consumer of either, but I definitely don't give them up at any point in the cycle. Don't intend to until I get that BFP! Confused

ImpatientMammy · 30/11/2017 20:48

@LookingAtTheStars89 I have a 2015 baby ☺️
Have you all entirely given up caffeine etc or just in the TWW. I've hardly changed my diet at all 😬 x

LookingAtTheStars89 · 30/11/2017 20:40

@peterpanwendy Sad I miss caffeine and alcohol! I went from getting pregnant in Nov 2015 to breastfeeding in 2016/17 to getting pregnant again in July to ttc now! Oh and I had open chest surgery in mid 2015 so I have been almost completely alcohol free since the beginning of 2015!

I did rebel and have a glass of champagne on my wedding day last Christmas Eve lol Wine

Owlpatrol · 30/11/2017 20:33

That made me laugh @peterpanwendy yesss I'm with you on that party bus girl!

peterpanwendy · 30/11/2017 20:11

Lots of people down in the dumps today (including me) we need to make this bus a party bus (alcohol, caffeine and fun freeGrin)

Hope there's good news over the weekend for people. Our bus is officially up and running tomorrow! At least we can eat advent choc Star

Sorry reread you've already said I have my fingers crossed for you x

ImpatientMammy · 30/11/2017 19:35

@surreygirl1987 I have no tips but a lot of people don't get any symptoms before a missed period. When's AF due? X

surreygirl1987 · 30/11/2017 19:21

Guys, this tww is torture!!! Assuming I'm out this month (soo any bfns and AF due Saturday) if anyone has any tips on staying sane throughout all this, please share them! Going nuts! So easy to get obsessive!

Gem173 · 30/11/2017 19:17

@nk1605 I’m sure the three days will be enough ! I have a shortish lp too of 11/12 days, I do worry about it sometimes.. not too sure what day ovulation is, my first cycle was 31 days and ovulated cd21, my second cycle was 28 days, ovulated cd17. This is my third cycle trying so hopefully if it stays to 28 days I should have pos opk on cd16/17 so 6th/7th Dec x

nk1605 · 30/11/2017 18:55

@Gem173 yes fingers very tightly crossed!! I know the plan says dtd 3 days in a row, then skip a day, then dtd one more time. Unfortunately DP is travelling with work from Sunday so looks like I only have the 3 days! Hopefully it still gives us a good chance. But I think my short LP might become an issue. It was only 9 days last time 😦

Glad it's going well for you so far!

What CD do you normally get your positive OPK?

Owlpatrol · 30/11/2017 18:14

Not yet @Babydreaming will have to admit to myself I need help first and then might book new year Sad

Gem173 · 30/11/2017 18:13

@nk1605 you had a pos opk, that’s great!! Better get down dtd now for the next 3 days! I’m on cd 10 and opks are still light atm, however have done the deed every other day since af ended. Beds due sat, so no doubt will be christening it aha think fw is next week, fx you will catch this cycle

nk1605 · 30/11/2017 17:59

@franktheskank happy days! I got my positive OPK today too so planning to dtd tonight. We have been doing every other day too so hopefully will catch it this month. I'm CD18, and my last cycle was 28 days so the only thing that concerns me is that my LP is v short

Its just making me feel crazy! I spend lots of time reading everyones posts on here, you're right, it is comforting to know you arent the only one!

I was born a worrier so every feeling i get i am convinced i am pregnant! How do you all get through normal life without over thinking everything?! Im finding it impossible!

franktheskank · 30/11/2017 17:51

Got a smiley face today, which is good as this month we're trying every other day so we dtd Sunday , Tuesday and today, as I've said before we are usually twice a day Grin but read it's better to leave a day or two in between to replenish the sperm so fingers crossed it's the month for us!

hungryradish · 30/11/2017 17:45

Hi all, I came off the contraceptive pill at the end of September & am just waiting for my body to get into some kind of normality again - it's been all over the place.

We're being very relaxed about conceiving & tbh I'm still learning about it all. Have learnt so much from mumsnet but don't want start temping etc just yet however I can definitely see how people become quite obsessed with it all.

Babydreaming · 30/11/2017 17:41

@owlpatrol have you been to see GP? I think they do tests after a year?

Owlpatrol · 30/11/2017 17:35

Hi to all the new ladies hope you are all doing well. December bus is getting busy we need a double decker hehe
It's suddenly dawning on me we've been ttc for a year now with no bfp's no chemicals or anything so I'm a little down. I've had sore sore boobs all day and some on and off cramps so a bit unsure of bothering to test tomorrow but think I'll do an ic would be lovely for an early Xmas present. If not ill be onto January already!

Babydreaming · 30/11/2017 17:32

@hardheadedwoman @lostmybauble I also have had chemical pregnancies (2 in fact!)

The first one I tested 4days before AF and then multiple times after but the line was just getting lighter and then my AF arrived when it was due! Was devastated.

After the 1st one I conceived my now 1 year old the next month.

When my little one was 6 months old I got pregnant accidentally but realised period was late and felt nauseous so tested! Was a shock but just as I was getting excited about it I started bleeding a few days after AF due!

It’s horrible and I always question whether there’s something wrong with me. I’m almost nervous about getting a BFP now as it’s horrible when you get all excited and then lose it.

LostMyBaubles · 30/11/2017 17:18

Impatientmammy

I had my coil out on the 1st of this month
.

LostMyBaubles · 30/11/2017 17:16

Hardheadedwoman very similiar to what I've just been through

Absolutely horrible

Got a few positive tests over the weekend

Line wasn't getting darker though

After a few days the tests were turning negative

Went to gp who was fuckimg useless

Took myself to epu for blood test which confirmed I'm not pregnant atm

Which leaves us to the conclusion it was most likely chemical pregnancy

Af due today and she's not here yet

Did opk don't ask me why lol obv was neg

Babydreaming · 30/11/2017 17:08

Welcome to all the newbies...hopefully this is a lucky month for us all!! :)

This thread is moving very quickly now! I’m so excited that it’s december tomorrow, hopefully it’ll bring lots of BFPs!!

I’m about 8/9dpo now I think and planning on testing on sat as going out for drinks that evening and want to know if I can have my wine! Pretty sure I’m out this month though as we only dtd once on 1st day fertile week and then hubby went away! I’m excited to start a new cycle though and try properly next month!

capturedbyminipirate · 30/11/2017 14:55

SLR1 yes ttc is driving me bonkers as well!!! The tww is the worst and it's all that I can think about day and night! I think it's the unknown of it all and the fact there is no step by step guidance to guarantee! Good luck everyone on here, there is something a little conforting knowing that we are all in the same boat Smile

Fia256 · 30/11/2017 14:53

@Hardheadedwoman39 I've had two now, the recent one this year I actually had absolutely no pain whatsoever, but the one before that was like a heavy painful period!

capturedbyminipirate · 30/11/2017 14:51

Hi
Joining since I'm ttc#2 and not having much luck so far. Tried about 6 months of going with the flo- literally- nothing happened, so for the last 3 months been tracking ovulation, not drinking, dtd more times than I thought possible, and now just realising how difficult it is to manage my feelings since all
I am thinking about constantly is 'will I get pregnant this month'!

Anyway, I normally don't let myself get carried away and never test early but this month was different and so I thought I would share it on here, since no one in my friend group or family know we are ttc.

So AF is always like clockwork- never been irregular or late! This month(when we had been dtd until our bedsheets wore out basically- I know tmi Blush) I was 6 days late! Managed to wait until then to do a test-BFN! Hmm Still no AF 10 days after expected AF and throughout this time I experienced every pregnancy symptom possible- so I was convinced the next test would be my BFP! Began to think about how we would tell people and when the due date would be but it was BFN! Went to the drs and it was discovered I had a UTI. Was given anti biotics and now AF has appeared the day after the course of antibiotics stopped! I just couldn't believe it! Everything I googled said UTIs wouldn't stop your cycle but it does girls so even after I was told it was a uti, I still thought there was a chance I could be pregnant since no AF!

Just thought I'd post on here in case this happens to anyone else and they were doing what I was doing- googling like mad! Weird thing is I have had UTIs before and didn't get the burning sensation or the feeling of still needing to Pee just when you've finished!

I guess in summary what made me post on here was the shock that our bodies can trick us in such a cruel way! Once AF goes I'll get back to dtd so wish me luck Smile x
