Thought someone better start a new thread as we're getting close to the 1000 mark!
Ready - what's your question?

OP posts:
PinkElephant · 23/05/2007 21:49

Pinkmartini - I tried diets, cutting back on alcohol and caffeine..... but got pregnant when I gave up on diet and also after drinking far too much alcohol . I was so convinced AF was on its way that I went out with the girls to drown my sorrows, had 4 enormous glasses of wine and rolled home..... three days later found out I was pregnant....oh the guilt . I'd even forgotten to take my folic acid for 3days and I always take it like clockwork!!

Gilly - thank you

scorpio1 · 23/05/2007 09:55

Bella- your knitting is fab!!

Hoping everyone ok.....

mistlethrush · 23/05/2007 09:25

Kensgirl, sorry I didn't respond to your April message - yes fine now. Just envious at all the activity - dh seems to have decided that its easier not to play after our scare in the Autumn.

How is the monitoring? I'm back to 6 monthly I think which is quite reassuring (am expecting that to effectively continue the rest of my life...)

Fingers crossed for everyone - not holding my breath here!

Ready · 22/05/2007 13:56

I am ultra busy at the moment, so I haven't much time for my usual waffle!!

Gilly - Congrats on your job offer, that is wonderful news!! Will you accept do you think? Let us know! Oh, and thanks for saying prayers for us all

Kensgirl - Lovely to hear from you, glad you are ok. I am ok, just very possibly going to be moving house soon, but we are limbo at the moment. I am taking a break from ttc next cycle as we will be away - but I haven't given up the perky outlook, don't worry

PinkMartini - Good question!! I am trying to lose weight, for me really, but I hope it helps ttc too. I take pregnacare daily, just to keep in the habit, and the vits are good to have anyway. I still drink caffeine, but I have found rooibos tea which is naturally caffeine free, and I alernate between that and twinings breakfast tea

Bella - Great knitting girl -

Hope everyone else is just super!! I'll pop back when I get 5 minutes to spare!!

PinkMartini · 22/05/2007 12:21

Yes very impressed with knitting Bella.
CD21/22 so officially on 2ww but have so many spots that must be pmt.
Seriously am like a teenager.

So my question today is not so random: what steps are you taking with TTC?
Have you given up booze or caffeine? Are you trying to lose weight? (I need to but never seem to shift the last half stone)
Are you downing oysters with gusto for the added zinc? Or are you, like me, just popping a folic acid tab when you remember?

seaside72 · 21/05/2007 22:19

Bella - wow - knitting pics are fab - I am very impressed - you are very talented with your needles!!

BellaBear · 21/05/2007 21:09

I thenk you!

nomoremagnolia · 21/05/2007 21:04

OP posts:
BellaBear · 21/05/2007 20:00

actually, I've deleted the photo of me - I'm a wuss!

BellaBear · 21/05/2007 19:54

I've put my knitting pictures on my profile - I'm sooooo proud of myself!

Also, if you have a look can you tell me if you can see a picture of me? I've got it set to mumsnet mates and I want to know if it works!

Thanks

kensgirl · 21/05/2007 17:47

Hello everyone........where are you all ....?

Great news on your job offer Gilly, have you decided to accept? I hope your fertility prayers pay off this month for ALL of us.

Nothing exciting to report from me, just busy doing the garden and laying a new floor in the bathroom (well, dh is, and I'm busy supervising)

Cd 6 for me today, my new plan of action is start doing the deed from today or tomorrow every day until dh can take no more....

nomoremagnolia · 20/05/2007 21:26

Well done Gilly! Like you say - even if you don't take the job it's a huge confidence boost for you. Thanks also for the prayers - I hope they work for us all!!

kensgirl · 18/05/2007 22:59

Well! hello Ladies! i've not been around for a while as I,ve ben trying (after the wise words of dh.........) not to be here too much, as i felt as though i was spending more time here than ttc, if you get my drift. However, it is now cd 3 for me, so I feel perfectly justified in rejoining my old friends if you'll have me..

A big HELLO to all those I kow, esp. ready, and mrs mc jnr, and is it seaside and pinke elephant too who deserve congratulations !??! Its a bit confusing to try and read back , but I'm so happy for all those with reecent BFP's - I'm sure we wil all join you soon

Ready, what is your latest random question ? I hope you are allright - we need your perkiness - keep smiling, hey? Woodmouse - its lovelt that you have remembered me, hope you are Ok, and bBella and nomore - how are you? niceto be back though xx

nomoremagnolia · 18/05/2007 21:00

Hello ladies, sorry I've not been around posting properly recently, I have been lurking and keeping up-to-date.

Sorry to hear you are down Ready, I second what Woodmouse (withpinkearssoontobeadded?) says, is there anything we can help with? You're always there for us being positive, please ask for help if you need it. Have a hug at the least (((Ready)))

Glad things went well with the GP Bella, I hope you find the support you need hugs to you to (((Bella)))

Congrats again to Seaside and MrsMc, I'm really pleased for you both.

We've not been ttc very actively since dh's results, we're just waiting for my af to arrive on a working day so I can go to the GP for blood tests. Totally given up on temping etc, actually I don't even know what CD I am on! Am feeling very disassociated from the whole thing at the moment.

Being bridesmaid to my lil sis a week tomorrow, got to think of an answer to all those rellies asking when we're having kids...any suggestions of a suitable reply to shut them up? (I really can't handle people telling me it'll happen eventually and to relax! ) Will also have to deal with an 8 month pg cousin too.

How's everyone else?

OP posts:
graysongirl · 18/05/2007 13:11

Hello All,
Thanks for remebering me Ready. I have been very quiet on MN due to work crazyness, Ofsted and then GCSE's started properly yesterday so am super busy. Supposed to be doing the lunch queue now actually! On the ttc front I don't think I have even ovulated this month, have some probs in that area so doubtful of BFP. DH and I are going to docs in June as that will be a year of ttc. How depressing? Pretty sure the prob is me and my random ovulation but want to to get DH tested so at least can rule that out.

Woodmouse · 18/05/2007 12:54

Ready - of course you didn't upset me!! You were talking a lot of sense. I'm so sorry to hear you are . Is there anything we can help with or just having a blue time? Put yourself first and have a lovely month of living for you. Sounds like bliss. Work is calmer now, but I still have all this pent up anger and frustration with the job, which are NOT good for any TTC-er. I also may have nailed my own career coffin well and truly shut by (possibly) being overheard by my boss calling him, untalented, overpromoted and stupid

Still, I am in a good mood today - the sun is shining outside my window and it's the weekend. Yippeee!
