Welcome all anti-fertile fuckers! This is our clique for those trying longer than 6 cycles and are pretty fed up.

Here are our Fucked Off TTC Commandments

  • Thou shall not arrive one day and post BFP next day
  • Thou shall not give advice to other when TTC for one month only
  • Thou shall not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways
  • Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month
  • Thou shall not be offended by strong language
  • Thou shall not tell everyone to eat yams
  • Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

Our spreadsheet which includes what supplements (and potatoes) we are trying in our journey to motherhood.

You’re welcome dude. Good luck with the results x

dudemeister76 · 17/11/2017 21:12

@TheGrumpySquirrel Thanks for posting what the doc said. I guess its in the normal range then. I had my son 19 years ago! so not sure if that makes a difference. Ive got until tuesday and ill get all my hormonal blood results. They've done progesterone, testosterone and thyroid and a couple of others i can't remember.
@Bubblegum89 the moon cup is great. It takes a while to get used to it but i would never go back to tampons now. I do a lot of heavy weight training in the gym and i can just forget about my period. I couldn't do that with tampons. Once its in it stays put.

RhiBee29 · 17/11/2017 21:04

It’s so heartbreaking and unfair @SoozC, take your time, look after yourself x

dudemeister76 · 17/11/2017 21:01

@SoozC Im so sorry to read your news. Theres no right way to get through it just do what feels right for you and get as many cuddles as possible and don't go back to work too quickly. Its so fucking sad and my heart really goes out to you. It does get easier after a little while but right now just be gentle with yourself and let your other half wrap you up in cotton wool for a bit xxxxx thinking of you.

@Bubblegum89 I would get a mooncup then you can see what is really happening in terms of amount and flow timing. Best of luck x

QuietTime · 17/11/2017 19:29

God sooz am so so sorry; take the time you need physically and mentally. I'm sorry it's such horrible timing, it must be really tough. Is there anyone else you can talk to in person? Take care of yourself xx

Summer1986 · 17/11/2017 19:12

It's absolutely awful to go through Sooz but you will find the strength in you to get through this. With my first MC I didn't process what had happened to be right away, obviously I knew and understood but I didn't grieve or allow myself time to come to terms with it properly. This was partly intentional, returning to work and normal life less than a fortnight later and the other reason was that 6 weeks later my mom was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I don't think I really dealt with my loss emotionally until I'd lost my Mom, my mind was too busy with other things.
I wouldn't recommend this as a coping strategy! I'd suggest marking the important days like when you would have been due, maybe plant a rose or something in your garden to remember your little one by.

SoozC · 17/11/2017 18:40

Thanks everyone. I am heartbroken but aware that we need to get back into ttc asap. Just hope my body gets rid of the little that's left fairly soon, doc said there's not enough for them to do anything, just have to wait.

It's going to be a pretty shit Christmas this year. To think I even bought a subtle pregnancy t-shirt to wear over the festive season. And we were supposed to have our 12-week scan on DH's birthday. We are both so sad. How do you cope?!

micropig · 17/11/2017 18:34

@SoozC so sorry to hear that ☹️ was hoping none of the BFPers on here would return.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 17/11/2017 18:33

Oh sooz that is so shit. I’m sorry to hear xx

Tiredofbeingsotired · 17/11/2017 18:25

Oh @SoozC I’m so so sorry, that’s utterly shitty for youFlowers

Summer1986 · 17/11/2017 16:43

Oh Sooz I'm so so sorry to read this sad news Flowers

Steaksauce · 17/11/2017 16:03

@sooz I'm so sorry, what sad news Sad

DoAsDreamersDo · 17/11/2017 14:58

Oh no Sooz I’m really sorry to hear that Sad xx

LimpLettice · 17/11/2017 14:51

Sooz, I am so, so sorry to hear that. Shit news, you are most entitled to rant and be fucked off, I so wish this wasn’t your news. Hugs.

Bubblegum89 · 17/11/2017 14:51

That’s good about your periods grumpy I’ve had a baby too but 9 years ago. My blood doesn’t come out quickly though, it starts and stops and there’s no constant flow which is why I think something is wrong.

Oh sooz I’m so sorry :( Flowers

Justwaitingforaline · 17/11/2017 14:06

Oh Sooz

That’s fucking shit. I’m so sorry. Flowers

NimbleKnitter · 17/11/2017 13:59

Shit Sooz

That’s fucking awful news.

I’d offer hugs, if it would help.

Thinking of you x

RhiBee29 · 17/11/2017 13:55

So sorry @SoozC Flowers

SoozC · 17/11/2017 13:35

Hi guys, I'm back as I had a scan today that confirmed I've miscarried. If that doesn't allow me to be fucked off and have a good moan I don't know what will.

Justwaitingforaline · 17/11/2017 12:28

Hood to hear GP had been useful Grumpy. DH is not my DD’s Dad either so GP are testing him too!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 17/11/2017 11:30

Update post GP - he doesn’t think my periods are concerning as I’ve had a baby (okay 13 years ago!) so cervix is going to be more open which means the blood comes out faster (I suspect mooncup also opens things up a bit). The fact that I am getting a decent amount of red blood is good. Half a cup to a full cup on the heavy day then 1/4 to 1/2 a cup on second day - I think that’s normal (it appears much less in the cup than it would on pads/tampons). This month there was much less brown crap after day 2, which is good (this is my 7th period post MC).

I had been on the POP since dd until starting ttc and only had 2 periods after stopping pill before I got pregnant which ended in MMC in May. So I don’t really know what my post pill period normal is to be fair.

GP thinks I am ovulating fine but wants to confirm with day 24 progesterone bloods and they will also check thyroid function and a ton of other things. But the first thing we are doing is sperm analysis (DH is not dd dad) as this may well be the issue.

Steaksauce · 17/11/2017 10:06

Ok so I had a peak opk on wednesday lunchtime. Dtd wedneday night.
Various sites suggest dtd daily on day of peak and the three days after.
We’re going to dtd last night but knackered and never managed it. Dh suggested we wake up early this morning instead. He woke and tried to wake me but as I’d been wide awake for no reason between 1.30 and 3.30am I wouldn’t wake up.

Do you reckon I’ve missed it? Or will tonight and tomorrow suffice?

I’m so pissed off with myself.

Justwaitingforaline · 17/11/2017 09:52

micro I’ve always liked the idea of my wee turning pink if I conceive so I could tell immediately!

I’m on day 3 of AF and have the opposite problem, super heavy for the first three days then starts to tail off. Only upside of no BFP this month is that my last three cycles have been the same length ( 27 days) which is nice - DH has also been coerced into zinc and Vit C supplements and is off for his GP apt on the 4th!
