Plummy, i'd say its definitely worth bd-ing on day 18, that's what i'm on now and i got my first positive on the ov kits yesterday, so we bd'd that morning and i tested again today, still positive so we bd'd again today in the evening. As its the first time i ever got a positive using the ov sticks, i'm just gonna take advantage of it!
I'll test again tomorrow and will bd again if possible....
I had no idea i would ovulate so late, i think before i was doing it too early! I was expecting it to happen around day 14 or 15 etc. Are you temping too?

tigerschick · 15/04/2007 20:58

Sorry, I'm a bit over-excited. I know it's got nothing to do with ttc but I'm dead chuffed that we won!

And the celebratory bding should be good too

tigerschick · 15/04/2007 20:13

All together now ...

TIIIIIIIGERRRRRRSSSSSS

scorpio1 · 15/04/2007 19:37

lexie, how old is dd?my ds2 was such an angel baby-still is my baby actually,at 2.5!

second ones are easier IMO

(be strong and firm with dd!)

Lexie100 · 15/04/2007 19:34

I ov'd on CD 17 last month, so always a chance.

Not sure why i want another baby as DD is horrid at getting to sleep and staying asleep. Not sure what to do with her at the moment .

Hopefully next one will be angelic

scorpio1 · 15/04/2007 18:34

plummy-depends when you ov, i'd say.

worth a 'shot' surely??

plummymummy · 15/04/2007 18:22

Would you say there is little point ttc at CD 18? Just wondering.

plummymummy · 15/04/2007 18:19

Lexie, I used to have a 21 day cycle and I conceived ds straight away then got pg Jan 06 (by mistake but went on to lose)still on a 21 day cycle. After that one my cycle changed to 28 days and I conceived again late October, but again lost it. The cycle is now somewhere between 23 and 28 days and I am ttc - ironically it is taking longer. I don't know if a short cycle means you are less likely to conceive - certainly it didn't seem to disadvantage me.
Awen - I wasn't offended so please don't worry. Just meant that everyone is struggling in their own way and didn't want you to think your concerns were less valid.
Scorpio - did you get the bag?

Lexie100 · 15/04/2007 17:47

What a lovely day. Glad all well and enjoying the sunshine.

I have been in such a bad mood all day due to BFN but i guess it might have been too early. I think i'm going mad as have been rehersing in my head what i'll say to the Dr is AF does come [humm]. Can they do a test to see if your DPO is too short??

scorpio1 · 15/04/2007 17:40

tiger-we won the rugby !

Still no af here, another BFN.never mind!

Went asda today (yay) and spent hideous amounts of money......

plummy-i knew it!!

hope all ok?

HannahMTW · 15/04/2007 17:07

Sounds like you're the same as me! My last cycle was 29 days. It's (the AF) never been this overdue. But as you say I'm really hoping for good news and know I'm gonna be gutted if its not.

Will definitely get the doc to do the test. I had two BFNs earlier this week but the test wasn't v sensitive. That's my excuse for the mo anyway!

Hope you get a BFP soon!

Gracie14 · 15/04/2007 16:27

It can't hurt to ask the doctor especially if your going anyway.

I'm 6 days late today (CD35) I've always been 29 days since coming off the pill in august last year, so who knows I had a BFN on Friday so not really sure what to do. I'm sure i'm not pregnant no signs of it anyway.

I may wait until I'm 2 weeks late (if that happens) before going to the doctors. The not knowing is a nightmare and it's really hard not to think that it could be good news but I know if I think that then it will be harder when it is a BFN

HannahMTW · 15/04/2007 16:17

Hi Gracie,

My cycle's usually a bit irregular but has never been longer than 31 days. It's day 36 today. I'll definitely ask the doc about it. Haven't really had other signs but have waves of tummy ache (more of a bloated, dodgy tummy ache rather than period pain). It's so weird! Don't know if there could be another cause.

When's your AF due, how late are you?

Gracie14 · 15/04/2007 16:02

Hi all,

Still waiting for AF!!!! Where is she? Not really any signs of her coming again yet?

Was thinking about testing again tomorrow if nothing or maybe on Tuesday?

But then I don't really have any signs of pregnancy either so proberbly should just wait for AF.

How long is your usual cycle Hannah? How late are you? I think the blood tests that you have done are quite quick.

MamaMaiasaura · 15/04/2007 15:59

sorry plummymuumy - didnt mean to offend x

What a gorgeuas day it is today out in garden enjoying sunshine with bunny hopping round feet (bless him)

Feel bit guilty for hanging around this thread as not pg and starting provera on Tuesday to not BFP for me this April. It is just nice on here and looking formward to seeing lots of other BFP's to keep me motivated

BellaBear · 15/04/2007 15:53

plummymummy you have to put the markers around each word you want to change appearance - it takes ages to do a whole sentence!

HannahMTW · 15/04/2007 15:15

Hi, little miss niave here again!

Got a doc's appt tomorrow as busted my elbow falling off my bike - oops! But thought I'd take the chance to talk to the doc about this AF no show (now CD36!). I've ordered some of those 10 miu tests, but until they arrive I'm gonna be impatiently waiting to know if I'm PG or not. Do they only do blood tests at the docs as this is what I've heard? Coz don't the results take ages to come?

Any ideas from the more experienced out there? Thank you!

tigerschick · 15/04/2007 12:37

There is a bacteria type thing in the placenta/afterbirth of a sheep that can be harmful and can cause m/c in humans. Dh used to know all about it as there were sheep on the farm he worked on when we met, but none here so we've forgotten the details. Basically it's worth taking notice of!

Anyway, hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine

Not got time to catch up properly yet, it's amazing how much we manage to add in 24 hours!

Scorpio - good luck for the game this arvo [Tiger offers a sporting handshake]

waiting4bambino · 15/04/2007 11:49

From way down in the thread - thanks for all the advice on dh (saying "we're great together! Do we really want an additional person here with us?!!!" I think it's passed now... He hasnt mentioned it since, and when i used my ov kit yesterday and found the LH surge (for the 1st time i might add!!!) he was really pleased, and suggested we BD tonight!!! Yay!
I've been using those ov pee sticks on and off for months now and have never got a positive result on them, so when i did i jumped up and shouted "I'm laying an egg!!" and if my sis wasnt there, i would've gone BD'd straight away!!!
Kind of glad its nearing the end of my 2ww, as I'm tiring of all the BD-ing (is that possible?!)
Also - a question - i went to a farm yesterday and it had a big notice on the barn which said PREGNANT WOMEN MUST NOT ENTER THE LAMBING BARN! And i just wondered why? I've heard of the issues with cat litter and aquariums (i have an aquarium and am the only person who cleans it out, so i guess i'll have to do it whilst i am assuming i'm not pregnant!) but had never heard of lambs posing a problem. Any country girls out there who would know the answer to this?
Congratulations Furry, i really think this is the lucky thread to be on!

goingfor3 · 15/04/2007 10:17

Congrats Furrymummy! .

I was on the May thread but seems more likely af will come this month(hopefully not at all!!!!)

I think I may have already ov'd . I caved in and bought some ov sticks. Friday and saturday they were negative. I had some ewcm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday but none today. I probably missed the surge on Thursday. We bd'd on thursday and friday so should be in with a chance. Will carry on this month just incase I was wrong! So I may now be on the two week wait, well usually about 11 days for me which means I'll be due end of April.

fifisworld · 15/04/2007 09:12

Just did test and got a BFN. Still got 3 days to go (not including today as AF always arrives first thing).

Shantih · 15/04/2007 01:48

Wow! Thank goodness for a busy day. No AF yet (CD29) and no time to think "what if".

Congrats Furrymummy. There's good vibes in the air around here. You are proof POSITIVE (pardon the pun).
