If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

Bfn for me this morning so just waiting for af to arrive. Whilst an August baby wouldn’t have been my first choice I had come to terms with it and now I don’t need too. Silver lining that I can at least celebrate DD’s birthday at the weekend.

Yay congratulations @BandhaAid!!

BandhaAid · 28/11/2017 21:11

Thank you 🤗

Paranormalbouquet · 28/11/2017 21:09

Congrats BandhaAid!

RhiBee29 · 28/11/2017 20:09

Congratulations @BandhaAid Flowers

BandhaAid · 28/11/2017 19:52

I'm not out, I just got my bfp!!!

Flybynight1 · 28/11/2017 19:51

Incidentally it was my left ovary I ovulated from when we conceived DS so fingers crossed it's a lucky ovary!!! Grin

Flybynight1 · 28/11/2017 19:49

That looks a good chart Bandha! Don't count yourself out just yet! Same mini, you never know the spotting could be implantation, and if so it would be too early to test... Fingers crossed for both of you!

I'm pretty sure I ovulated today, have been mega bloated and felt cramps on my left first thing... so DH is off the hook. CD18 and we are both bloody knackered! Managed to dtd the 3 last days so hoping that's enough... Confused hello TWW!

BandhaAid · 28/11/2017 08:36

Feeling sad today (probably imminent AF!!!), I just feel I've been stupid clinging onto hope because my chart looks really good. Yes, I've had symptoms but if course these could be caused by AF as well. Here's my chart today. AF is due Thursday and I'm trying to prepare myself.

Arghh spotting and AF due Thursday/Friday. Negative test :(

Flybynight1 · 27/11/2017 11:36

I'm sorry about the lack of sensitivity mynameis Ive found that people are way more blasé about ttc #2, those on the outside anyway. Apparently it's everyone business to be asking when you're going to have a second, to 'hurry up' and assume it's just going to happen because you've already got a DC. Nope. Same anxiety and worries second time, if not more because you're tired and it's more difficult to find the time/energy to BD!

CD17 and finally had a good +OPK. Just as well as I think DH only has a couple of goes left in him...!

Paranormalbouquet · 27/11/2017 10:44

Mynameis that’s very hard, I hope you are looking after yourself. I’m hearing pregnancy announcements all round too and it’s hard. Although several have come from friends who have been trying a long time and therefore give me hope at least!

On the other hand I do understand the moaning- it’s not sensitive especially if they know your situation but pregnancy can be hard and stressful too. My first pregnancy was high risk (abnormal 20 week scan so scans every 2 weeks), my husband was working away and I had SPD, while working in frontline healthcare- 12+ hour days on my feet. I did feel really miserable! Didn’t moan generally but felt terribly guilty for not enjoying it.

MynameisJune · 27/11/2017 10:01

@kit thank you 😊

MynameisJune · 27/11/2017 09:59

Thank you cariad it was the 2nd pregnancy I’d heard this morning, the first being unplanned and then this the second.

I try to be positive but some moments just overwhelm me with ‘why me’ when I know in reality it’s ‘why not me’

You’re right, we will get there xxx

Kit1411 · 27/11/2017 09:58

Oh @MynameisJune, you can definitely have a rant on here, we do understand and it is a bit insensitive. Sorry to hear it hasn’t happened this time, chin up and fingers crossed for next month for you. Sending hugs.

Cariad2017 · 27/11/2017 09:54

Sending enormous hugs your way Mynameis. That sounds incredibly tough.

Some people just don’t know how fortunate they are. I’ve come to realise through bitter experience that as with most hardships in life, people just don’t get what it feels like to experience infertility/ long terms ttc unless they’ve been there. That having been said, there is no excuse for a complete failure to show any compassion.

Please don’t feel like a failure my lovely. I know I’m a good one to talk on this front. You will get there. Xxx

MynameisJune · 27/11/2017 09:25

Can I have a moan, I know you ladies will understand.

There has been another pregnancy announcement in real life but this one like many is accompanied by moaning and complaining of how bad their symptoms are, how sick they, how exhausted they are etc.

I know they can moan, but in a group where they know there are people struggling to TTC just seems a bit insensitive. If they had any idea how shit long term TTC is I doubt they would moan at all.

It just really annoyed me this morning, probably because af is on the way and once again we’ve failed.

Paranormalbouquet · 26/11/2017 18:49

Luteal phase not literal obviously!

Paranormalbouquet · 26/11/2017 18:49

I’m 34. Think I can push for investigations from an abnormal bleeding point of view rather than fertility perhaps though. Think given it’s been caused by complications of EMCS I have a case for it! I know I ovulate, I have a very regular cycle and get ovulation cramps followed by tender breasts and acne in my literal phase.

Fly sudden increase in breastfeeding will definitely interfere with ovulation. Hopefully things settle soon!

Cariad2017 · 26/11/2017 18:14

That was meant to read die of boredom!

Cariad2017 · 26/11/2017 18:14

Sorry O has gone AWOL Fly. Here’s hoping she rocks up soon before you did of boredom waiting!

Cariad2017 · 26/11/2017 18:11

Sending enormous hugs your way Paranormal. No advice I’m afraid but I really hope you get your BFP very very soon. Remind me, how old are you? If you’re over 35 you should definitely push for tests after 6 months of trying. That having been said, it strikes me as though the amount of assistance on offer for those who already have a child differs greatly depending on where you live and the attitude of your GP. Very little is funded where I live if you already have a child.

Paranormalbouquet · 26/11/2017 17:47

Well I had a bad uterine and cervical tear during my emcs when DD was born. Recent smear test found abnormalities so have had a lot of gynae input which has detected the scarring and shortening.

Flybynight1 · 26/11/2017 12:13

Paranormal that sounds incredibly hard. How do you know you have cervical scarring and where does it come from? Please forgive my ignorance!

Sorry for the BFP Cariad

Good luck Rhibee!!

CD16 here and no sign of O. So much for me being worried about early ovulation with DH away! DS has been poorly and bfing like a newborn so I'm wondering if that can put me out of whack again...?

Paranormalbouquet · 25/11/2017 22:02

Sorry to hear it was negative Cariad. Mynameis will keep fingers crossed for you. RhiBee fingers crossed for testing on Monday.

Both times I conceived I knew straight away as didn't get my usual sore nipples after ovulation. Or my usual pre-menstrual irritation!

I started spotting on Thursday, period started properly yesterday. Very light compared with pre-DD. I'm sure I have uterine adhesions/scarring which is causing my inability to conceive/early miscarriages. It's often associated with cervical scarring and I know i have a very scarred cervix. I think I will request a hysteroscopy in January after 6 months trying. Although I'm quite sure I'll be knocked back.

Feeling quite down about things at the moment- I know 6 months isn't that long in the great scheme of things but I have been sure for a while there's a problem as my periods are incredibly light compared with before. And then I need to face up to the fact that even if I do conceive I am at very high risk of miscarriage/premature delivery (have a very short cervix- 15mm compared with average of 45mm).

Another glass of wine is in order I think!
