If anyone is ttc2 and expecting their AF/ BFP in November then this thread is for you.

Let’s all give ourselves a fabulous excuse not to drink at Christmas!

My stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (in late November)
Cycle: 13 (lucky for some?!?!) I have short cycles so this is month 11 (yawn!)
AF/ BFP due: 2 November

Yep I used to not want a late summer baby ideally but would be grateful for any baby :)

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2017 09:42

Thank you Mynameis. We have started DH on a whole cocktail of new vitamins so perhaps there’s a chance that come January/ February we’ll start seeing a difference. I’m still clinging onto the faint hope that we might be able to conceive naturally but the fact that nothing has happened in 13 cycles when the longest it took me last time around was 5 cycles suggests that there is a problem.

I shall be keeping everything crossed that this is your cycle. Xxx

@cariad so sorry for af arriving and I’m so sorry you’re facing IVF, life is just so unfair sometimes.

I’m 11dpo today and don’t think we’ve managed to get pregnant this time but time will tell.

Completely agree with the not wanting a late summer baby, but now I’ll just accept any baby with any birthday.

MynameisJune · 03/11/2017 09:05

@rhibee vitex/Angus castus isn’t approved for use when pregnant simply because like most medications it hasn’t ever been tested on pregnant women before.

I stopped taking it last cycle when I got my bfp. I will never know now whether things would have been different if I’d have carried on. I’ll probably carry on taking it for the first few weeks of any pregnancy now.

Cariad2014 · 03/11/2017 08:31

Is there anyone else on here who genuinely didn’t want a late Summer baby but is now so desperate that they’ll take anything?

Bubblegum - I have been loving your blog. I shall be keeping everything crossed that you get that elusive BFP very very soon. Long term ttc really really sucks.

Before I forget, my stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS: 2 (at the end of the month)
Cycle: 14 (yawn); month 12
AF due: 28 November

How are you doing Mynameis? Remind me, how many DPO are you? Xxx

Sorry about the BFN MumofFrankie. Fx it’s just too early.

Rhi - Just to add that I’ve taken Agnus Castus for the past few months (I was given a bag by a friend that had already resulted in three conceptions) and like Missy, ended up with spotting 2 days before AF was due. In essence, I think it’s helpful if you have irregular lengthy cycles or a short LP but if both your LP and cycle length are normal, you might not find that it’s hugely beneficial.

Good work getting the ball rolling on the testing front Lopey.

AF rocked up yesterday as expected, so we’re now onto month 12 and Cycle 14 of ttc. I’ve been out and bought every book on IVF under the sun and am slowly starting to accept that we have secondary infertility and are very unlikely to conceive another child naturally. To be honest, it’s been a real blow as I never imagined we’d end up here. I got pregnant 3 times in the 11 months it took to conceive DS, and that was only 3 years ago.

We have another appointment at the fertility clinic on 16 November to discuss next steps, but I know they will recommend IVF with ICSI. Currently thinking of aiming for egg collection in June which in all likelihood would mean starting the 8 week process in April, but we’ll see... It’s very daunting and feels like a huge amount of money to be gambling on something that might not work.

Hey everyone

9dpo here, no real symptoms so not feeling very hopeful 😔 Only time will tell. Given our track record, it would be too easy to get a BFP now, this will be first af after early mc in Oct.

Definitely not going to test unless af is late.

Hoping to see some BFPs on this thread soon xx

RhiBee29 · 02/11/2017 21:50

Thanks @MynameisJune and @MissyPG I’ve been researching most of the evening, still conflicted. If I do take it then get pg one school of thought says it can cause mc and to stop taking it another says it prevents mc and to take it until 12wks. Aargh!!!

Flybynight1 · 02/11/2017 21:48

Anyone testing November 10?? I'm 2dpo (ovulated cd21) and bored of the wait already (its been a long cycle already!!!!) so looking for some hand holding to get through this next week...! With DC1 I tested the day of my implantation dip (also had some spotting) and got a faint positive, that was 9dpo. So hoping the same for this cycle, please!

MynameisJune · 02/11/2017 21:09

Rhibee I take AgnusCastus (same thing as vitex I think) and it’s made my 23-24day short LH cycle back to a 28 day OV on day 14 cycle. It’s definitely worth a try, if you’re like me then anything is worth a try.

Also speak to your GP if you find a sympathetic one you may get tested this side of Christmas.

MissyPG · 02/11/2017 20:51

RhiBee - I read a lot about Vitex online and so gave it a bash... it actually seemed to shorten my short cycles and made me spot 2 days before AF arrived properly (24 day cycle w only 10/ 11 day luteal phase that month). I came off it as my luteal phase is normally at least 12 days I reckon! I know it’s worked for lots of folk but might be worth seeing a proper herbalist before you try? Xx

RhiBee29 · 02/11/2017 18:11

I’m thinking I may have low progesterone as short luteal phase but long cycle 33days. In feb it will be 12mths of TTC but I did have a mc in June. Do you think the gp would offer to test my hormone levels or just tell me to keep on as I am able to get pg? Going to try Vitex this cycle too.

SpadesOfGlory · 02/11/2017 11:20

.....sorry! Just realised this was TTC #2 thread..duh! Blush

I'll pop on over to the other thread instead.

SpadesOfGlory · 02/11/2017 09:52

Can I join please? Hoping for a BFP this month!

I'm 27
Cycle 4
No DC
AF/BFP due 14th Nov

I think I am 1 or 2 dpo. DH and I dtd on CD 10 and 14 and I'm pretty sure I Ov'd yesterday on CD15 as I had the most awful sharp crampy pains on the right side and quite a lot of EWCM last night.

Hopefully we timed it right this month! Now to wait Confused

Good luck to everyone!

HappyHedgehog247 · 02/11/2017 09:37

@mumoffrankie i am sorry for the BFN but iif implantation can take 6-12 days with 9 as average than 12dpo may just be too early. sending hope and hugs

HappyHedgehog247 · 02/11/2017 09:36

I'm 7dpo and have failed at managing to contain myself any longer and POAS this morning! Unsurprisingly negative. I mixed up my coffee canisters and have just had a huge cup of what my body is telling me is definitely strong caffeinated coffee so if there is a small bean i hope i haven't just poisoned it and killed it off.

Cupcakesandlove · 02/11/2017 07:37

Hi mumoffrankie- you could of ov later than you expected. Don’t count yourself out too soon, it usually happens when we least expect. If you did ov later it may well be too soon, try and wait until the weekend if you can.

MamOfFrankie · 02/11/2017 07:17

@mynameisJune thank you for hugs. I was so convinced it was going to be at least a squinter Confused

MynameisJune · 02/11/2017 06:56

@mamoffrankie I’m sorry for the bfn this morning. Fingers crossed it’s just too early still. I know the feeling that it seems whiter after than before. Big hugs xx

MamOfFrankie · 02/11/2017 06:09

Morning all. Did and HPT this morning at 12dpo and actually looked whiter AFTER I had peed on it :(

Cupcakesandlove · 01/11/2017 22:54

OH don’t, I’ve just found out our years efforts were based on the wrong timings. So now I’m thinking all the bad thoughts!

Good luck with your bloods do let us know the results
