tiger- thankyou sweets its just alot of things at mo really.sometimes i find it very hard being a step parent-the mother is very demanding and we give her alot as it is.her new bf has to work down here for weekend so she is coming down too.we are having dss all weekend.as well as my 2.last time she was down i was 35 weeks pg and she kicked up holy f**k,dp had to go sort her out.i ended up in hospital with high bp.i just have bad memories of last time.me and her have known each other since we wee 15-no love lost ever, worse when we had kids in common.of all people!dp is always working or out with his new best friend-i reckon about 4/5 nights im home alone.i just want a bit of help or for him to take me out, y'know?

sorry!

Bbabymumma · 24/04/2007 16:27

Wheely - had been trying since dd turned 1. Now slightly grateful that the gap will be bigger. Had got pg straight away with 1st so thought it would be easy. Am still very very anxious, cautious, nervous!

Goingfor3 - in that case I am infertile as well. Seriously which planet do gps come from? They earn £100k to just be rude and stupid.

Good luck ladies.

goingfor3 · 24/04/2007 16:23

Now that DD2 has started sleeping through the night I will start temping to reassure my self. I will do that next cycle. I'm fairly sure that I do ovulate as I get ewcm and sore boobs around ov and at that time I also get a + on opk's, my hormones must then be doing what they should.

tigerschick · 24/04/2007 16:20

That is terrible treatment by your gp, goingfor3. I really think you would be right to go back and see a different doctor. I used to go to a surgery where one of the female doctors was useless in the extreme. The others were great. If you have a choice then definately use it. Hope she hasn't upset you too much.

Wheely - And here I am feeling sorry for myself about 2 friends! I think it's worse because 1 of them said just before Christmas that they weren't going to try for any more dc for quite a while as she was going back to work. I was kind of expecting the other one to as she made no bones about the fact that she wants another one soon. Ho hum.

Scorpio - you OK, sweetie? Rant away if you need to.

MrsMcJnr - sorry your boss is being difficult. That is one benefit of being a sahm..!

Hope everyone else is having a good afternoon.

goingfor3 · 24/04/2007 15:54

I would like to think that if she guineuinly did think I wasn't ov'ing she would send me for test and not just repeatong on as many ways as she could that I was infertile. If I didn't have a three year old on my lap and in my face saying 'I need the toilet' I would have been more assertive. I will see what my af does this month and next amd then go and see a different doctor.

wheelybug · 24/04/2007 15:50

goingfor3, that is a shocking attitude from your gp.

If she really thinks you're not ovulating she should offer to do some blood tests now.

I have conceived twice very easily (lost 2nd pg) but now struggling to conceive a 3rd time, as soon as I went to docs they did blood tests/scan to check if I was ovulating. I was told that they wouldn't refer me yet for anything further if these show clear but at least they would do this.

GRRRRR on your behalf.

scorpio1 · 24/04/2007 15:47

goingfor3 - she is not allowed to make such claims without evidence! that is unreasonable. hope you are ok.

wheely - yay baby clothes shopping!

wheelybug · 24/04/2007 15:44

yeah Scorpio - 11 , and one is expecting twins so that makes 12 babies.

I think that comes with the territory of being in early 30s and having made a fair few friends who have children the same age as my dd (2 and a bit) so lots of people going on to number 2.

Think of all the presents I'm going to have to buy .

back at meto - ok, will stop trying to guess, as its not fair... wanders away pondering...

goingfor3 · 24/04/2007 15:44

Well I may as well give up now, my GP told me I am infertile!

I went to see her today as I wanted some prescription only peseries for thrush. I told her we were TTC and had been for 5 months. I told her that in the past I got pregnant first time round and that my cycles are a bit irregular. She said that due to the fact that it hasn't happened quickly again I am probably infertile and because my cycles are irrregular I am infertile and not ovulating. She told me to carry on for a few months, but I will not get pregnant because I am infertile, and then she will look at my cycles and do some tests.

I don't feel upset I just feel annoyed with her!

meto · 24/04/2007 15:23

hello wheelybug - once i'm finally pg and RL friends know i'll tell everyone. it's just ther'es a lot of RL friedns/people I know how come on here (i've only jsut found out tbh) and want to limit the personal details as much as possible. yes CD14, still no 'o' for me - I was so sure it would have been yes/today but nothing (had loads of EWCM on 12/13 but nothing today we shall see.) to give you a hint - but don't say the name! you'll normally find me with the beanies.

hello soph hope you're not with us for very long

scorpio - you just go ahead and rant away chick, we don't mind.

can't wait for the 9th may now - I somehow feel this month's been wasted so can't wait to start on next (even thou i'm only half way thru - it's sort of well if there's no 'o' then what's the point )

wheelybug · 24/04/2007 15:18

Meant to start a role call so here goes..

Wheelybug CD14 - OV.. anytime in the next 5 days !

wheelybug · 24/04/2007 15:17

Hello all - I'm back - have had yet more pc ishooos - a broken power cable but now have a new one - hurrah just in time for the obssessive time !

Waves at Meto - hellooo cycle buddy. CD14 IIRC. I have longish cycles so OV late-ish so dh has been informed he is to report for duty from this evening until told to stand down . Happy anniversary for tomorrow ! I realised last night that dh has a big work dinner thurs night so its unlikely we'll do the necessary then. Am intrigued to know who you are....

Congratulations Bbabymumma. Great news. How long you been trying if you don't mind me asking ?

Imawurzel - Any news on your unusual AF ?

Soph73 - welcome and yes, ov pain is like a stich usually on one side. HTH !

Hello Awen - hope AF arrives soon, and good luck with next cycle of clomid.

tigerschick - its a really bummer when people announce being pg isn't it - I've probably moaned about it enough on here but I currently have 11 friends expecting .

waves at mrsmc - and grrr at your boss.

hello everyone else...

scorpio1 · 24/04/2007 14:41

Soph73 · 24/04/2007 13:47

Hi everyone. I joined Mumsnet yesterday and have been reading through all your messages about ttc. DH and I are ttc2 although we´ve been a bit casual about the whole thing -although we´re taking vitamins & I´m trying to eat healthier.

I can´t remember who it was but I gather one of the signs that you´re ovulating is a stitch-like pain in one side - please can someone confirm that for me.

Nice to meet you all. Will be popping in and out of MN as the only computer I can use at the mo is the one at work.

goingfor3 · 24/04/2007 13:46

Thanks for the reply MrsMcJnr, is the egg bursting out of the follicle not ovulation?

meto · 24/04/2007 12:54

fingerrs crossed babymama congratualtions

mrsmcJ - I think quite possibly you know my real name (as it were) my typing's normally/styel apparenlty is v obvious.

akl -

hope everyone's doing ok in general thou.

i'm feeling a little down today - had a good BD'ing sesh with DH last night but alas no O for me yet on my persona - lots of red days thou, and i'm getting worried the line on the stick's getting lighter again - it's def not as strong as the control line. so CD14 and still nothing. to cap it all off tomorrow's our 4th year anniversery and DH's work are sending him away over night so I don't even get an anniversery BD this year oh well will have to make up for it either side! lol.

outlaws are visiting from sat so I really hope i'm/have OV'ed by then as I can BD with outlaws downstairs

MrsMcJnr · 24/04/2007 12:20

Crossed with you Bbabymumma ? congratulations!! I really hope things work out fantastically well for you

MrsMcJnr · 24/04/2007 12:18

Thanks BbabyMumma we certainly ran out of motivation last cycle when I didn?t OV until CD33 after starting the egg race at the usual CD11/12!

Goingfor3 ? indeed we are it?s actually nice to say that with all honesty there have been cycles where it felt like a means to an end sometimes guess that?s life! VERY interesting about the itsy bit of blood. Don?t want to get your hopes up but the only time that has happened to me (and it was 3dpo) was the cycle I got my BFP. It is too early for implantation but can be caused when the egg bursts from the follicle and it is apparently a very good fertile sign, fingers crossed!

Imawurzel, hello let?s hope so! Fingers crossed for your Sat testing! When I was late and decided to test (and got my BFP) I used a digital so there would be no doubt. How lovely it was to see the word ?pregnant?

Missnatalie ? not sure about the antibiotics but think you should definitely check that out before you decide. Other than that, just do what feels right

Hi Boobylicious ? you can get them from Boots but they are quite pricey. Not sure what you meant about ?im still having cramps so will i be able to possible get pregnant before it happens or not im confused? do you mean ovulation type cramps? If so, sperm can live for 5 days in a fertile environment so you can effectively store it up to meet the egg in the run up to ovulation. Hope that helps

Tigerschick ? it?s tough when that happens, I know. You have to remember that there is a limitless supply and just because they got pregnant, doesn?t mean it has any impact on you. Think of them cooing over your smaller, cuter baby when theirs are a couple of months old!

Hello Awen ? hope you and DS feel much better soon.

Oohhhh Kaleidoscope ? any tips for me? Don?t play if you don?t want to, I know the point of a name change is to start again.

Thank you PlummyMummy

Fuming at my boss won?t go into it but he just behaves like Hitler ? most of the time!!

tigerschick · 24/04/2007 11:59

Hi again BM - just congratulated you on the April thread! But hey, congratulations again!

Hope everyone else is ok today

Bbabymumma · 24/04/2007 11:48

hi may threaders.

Just to let you know my news but I'm not dancing and singing yet because its very early, infact I'm more into biting my nails at the moment. I got a bfp this morning. Its been a long time trying and I don't believe it now its here and I can't even think of venturing on a/n threads so I shall just lurk in the background. Thanks for preventing me from going insane.

plummymummy · 24/04/2007 00:19

Mrs McJ you are so sweet sending us all personal messages. Hope you are lucky this month

Kaleidoscope · 23/04/2007 22:31

mrsmcjnr-yes We have come across each other uner my old name..

MamaMaiasaura · 23/04/2007 21:02

JUst thought I would pop on for a minute

Still no AF (hurry up please!) Finished 5 day of provera on Saturday. Thought AF should arrive today but nooooo. Once AF arrives can start clomid again.

RL been busy, went for fab sail at the weekend. Ds poorly again, had to get him from school - tonisllitis again. I decided to avoid the stress of carer's leave from work and have called in sick - have a bit of a dodgy tummy so I dont feel too guilty.

Hope you lovely ladies ok. Any chance of a roll call so I can catch up with everyone?

Not adding myself on it till AF arrives xx
