wheelybug · 10/05/2007 13:02

Well full of excitement from MrsMc's BFP and encouraged (not that it took much) by the girls on pg after m/c I did a test.

BFN on a first response on CD30 so no one can say its too early.

Bugger.

tigerschick · 10/05/2007 12:42

Wow - Congrtualtions (and fingers crossed) mumto3girls and MrsMJ. Hope everything goes well for you both.

Welcome Snowgirl I'm no expert but pre-seed is something that acts like ewcm to help the sperm swim and stay alive. (It's amazing the things you learn on here!) Good luck for this month.

Well, here's one for you ... About a month ago I had a sore, achy, right boob and shoulder blade. Just thought I'd strained my back. Now I have exactly the same feeling today. I'm sure it's a coincidence but does it sound 'familiar' to anyone? Remember, my body is crap! So it could be anything.

Scorpio - how is the law assignment going? All done?

Hope everyone else is ok.

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 12:18

Thank you so much you are all so sweet to me spoke to GP and she was a bit frosty at first but said she'd contact haematologist and call me back. I'll feel much better after I've spoken/seen consultant I think

Mumto3girls ? of course I remember you! many congratulations!!!! Hope we can be on the ANs together!! Could well be implantation, try not to worry too much but do let your GP know when you see him/her.

Lissie ? don?t know what to advise, maybe a chat with EPU? Hugs x

Fingers crossed PlummyMummy & Wheely

Welcome Snowgirl I hope it happens soon for you.

Thanks PinkElephant

Fancy that Anniemac

Hmmm hello ?.I am ?probably pregnant? woke up at 4am, needed a wee and thought I?d better temp too as I normally get up at 6.15, temp was still good so I rooted around in the dark for a test and did it ? there was a line not the strongest of lines but mostly definitely there. Funnily enough, I didn?t get any sleep after that. I feel numb really, I went through every emotion in the hours of lying there; as you can imagine I am very scared about the thrombophilia and the risk to the baby, I don?t have a haematology appointment yet and I don?t know what to do. I have left a message for my GP to call me about ?something important? I hope she is not too angry with me for disobeying her advice to help. I haven?t had any spotting like last time so I am reading into that that this time might be different; more fool me but what?s the harm in staying positive? I am really excited, just scared. Please can I stay awhile? Want to temp for at least another week, if it doesn?t freak me out too much.

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 10:23

could it be implantation bleeding?

mumto3girls · 10/05/2007 10:05

Thanks for all your congratulations. I'm petrified this will go wrong too...

Had a bit of brown spotting...

Throwing a scattering of babydust over each and everyone of you

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 09:50

Thanks plummymummy.
I wil indeed stick around for support!(although have broadband issues so will be sporadic!!)
I did indeed get pg straight away first time round. I've been thrown recently because my dh told his dermatologist that we were ttc and the derm guy asked how old I was. When he said 36, the doctor said immediately, 'oh, you need to get fertility treatment straight away'. I know he's not a gyne but the fact that a medical type is saying this has really thrown me.
What is pre-seed??

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 09:47

oops - think I missed a P off the start... sorry Plummy.

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 09:47

lummymummy - I know about the temptation. I actually don't have any tests in the house otherwise would be pee-ing on them this morning. Also turn into an embarrassed schoolgirl in a chemist so put off buying them (and i know if I order online AF will be here before they are !). have thought about putting them in my online shop but would be mortified if they didn't have them and the poor chap had to explain.

My cycle is rarely 28 days and has been up to about 35 since m/c last july. Am fairly sure I ov'd 14 days ago though and AF tends to turn up around 14DPO (although actually it may have been longer last month).

Hi Snowgirl - welcome ! Although you may want to be on a june thread if there is one yet as (if I've got it right) its when you are likely to test which defines the month ! BUt you're welcome to stay here too. Sorry to hear its CD1 - there's been a few here recently and as you may have guessed I'm thinking I'll be there soon too. I think its natural to worry it won't happen. How old are you ? Did you have any problems conceiving dd ? I think going to the doctors depends on a lot of things. Usually they don't do anything unless you have been trying a while (less time if over 35) but I have just had some basic tests done as although I am only 31 (although 32 is closing in on me quickly ) I conceived very easily with dd (2.3) and a second pg which ended in m/c last July. we have been trying since then but with no success so in these circumstances they have done basic hormone tests. However, the doctor did say if these are clear I would have to wait till I have bene trying 18 MONTHS before they would refer me further. Hope that helps.

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 09:41

Welcome snowgirl. I am 35 and have a ds nearly 3yrs. Been ttc since october last year but had a miscarriage in December so trying again since february. Did you conceive your child straight away before? I did and I know I sort of expected it to happen like that again. Doctors don't generally investigate until you've been trying for a year - which seems like an eternity when you're trying each month. I understand your frustration. Have you checked out any of the conception aids used by some of the ladies here eg grapefruit juice and pre-seed. I don't know if they work, but some ladies swear by it. Good luck and if you stay on the thread you will get support from women in the same position as you.

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 09:32

Oh I know Wheely but it is so hard to resist. Of course you are right, but I will probably do it anyway then post tomorrow saying it's a bfn because of course it will be. I've got those ultra sensitive tests but I don't know if they would pick up a positive 4 days early. Is your cycle 28 days? Mine has reduced to 24 so I am only on CD20 tomorrow.

snowgirl · 10/05/2007 09:31

Hi
Can I join in and is this the right place???
been ttc since December and today is cd1. Am v and worried that it won't happen. Have 1 dd who is 2 and am 36. Should I be seeking help? A what point should I go to the docs? Been all positive every month till now, but really felt this was the month, and it wasn't.

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 08:32

Be strong PlummyMummy - step away from the test... remember the stats (I can't actually but I know that there's only a tiny chance of a positive 10 DPO). Currently CD30 and have not tested ... polishes halo.... am only 14 DPO though. Fully expecting AF to turn up today or tomorrow (because she's like that). Will of course keep you poste.d

Congrats Mumto3girls !

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 08:26

I looked on that ask dr amy site and according to that I can test tomorrow as my period is due on 15th but I can test 4 days early with a sensitive test. Ooh, so excited (how sad is that) I cannot go one cycle without testing early. I feel it has become an addiction

plummymummy · 10/05/2007 08:23

Congrats mumto3girls

lissielou · 10/05/2007 07:41

congrats mumto3girls!

lissielou · 10/05/2007 07:40
