I like the clearblue digital - no ambiguity at all

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 14:19

Agree - especially if one is dimwitted

No wonder I got two lines then What a dipstick I am (pardon the pun). Oh well, back to the drawing board. Looks like I will be joining the june ttc thread at this rate but I will use a cheapie again on Sunday which is two days before period due.

MRS MCJNR, Fantastic!!! So happy for you hun.

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 13:25

Hi Anniemac - yes the lines were thick but I think I have read the test wrong (doh). On looking at the instructions again I now realise that the lines are supposed to be v close together (whereas mine are quite far apart)so that line I am getting might be always there if you see what I mean. Anyway, I went to Tesco and bought some cheap tests to use on Tuesday onwards - and some ovulation test strips in case I'm not lucky this month.

oh wheely i'm so sorry chicken. (((hugs))) I had a huge row with DH as well today - must be these hormones we have.

Soph73 · 11/05/2007 09:59

Wheely - thinking of you I also hate it when me and DH argue as it happens very rarely and we work at the same place (which makes it worse) as I have to see & talk to him even if I just want to ignore him completely

Plummy - I know that feeling as it´s been happening to me over the last couple of months but I shall keep positive for you. I´ve still got a really weird stitch-like pain on my left side which I don´t tend to get during AF and I´m soooo tired I think I could sleep for a week. God, don´t you just hate being a woman sometimes (lol!)

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 09:55

sorry wheely but it's good news that yr doctor is being helpful.

wheelybug · 11/05/2007 09:47

Meto - we really ARE cycle buddies. AF arrived this morning too. Feeling pretty crap tbh - had huge argument with DH too (VERY rare) and went to docs this morning and tests all clear (and I really wanted them to say there was a small problem that htey could sort really easily). All in all been in and out of tears for most of last 24 hours. Will try and follow some of your philosphy meto but finding it hard at the moment.

Doctor was great though and will repeat day 21 test to check it wasn't just this month I ovulated (and I could have told her I ovulated this month as had pains which I haven't had for few months) and would refer me further in the summer (when she had previoulsy suggested only after 18months ttc. This would be 12 months since m/c and about 14 months in total).

Sorry to everyone else who's AF has turned up. Plummy - sounds hopeful.

MamaMaiasaura · 11/05/2007 09:42

dressedupnowheretogo · 11/05/2007 09:37

so excited for you all with bfp well done

and sorry for all those with af

we are looking to move house at th emo so we are looking for one with a master bed with room for a cot lol

MamaMaiasaura · 11/05/2007 09:31

very excited and hopeful for you plummymummy. I used superdrug hometest cheapies

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 09:24

Period due next tuesday (for a 24 day cycle). I should wait til then and test with a proper test but the problem is that I have these cheap ones in my toilet so I will probably keep testing and scrutinizing to see if the line gets more red!

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 09:21

Morning Soph - and thank you but I am dubious. I have been feeling odd but it could just be horrendous PMS. I have been getting awful bloating and breast tenderness last couple of months about a week before my period.

tigerschick · 11/05/2007 09:19

is af due next tuesday or last Plummy? I know clear blue says you can test up to 4 days early but only 50% get a correct result then. If you can bear to, I'd wait until your af is actually due...it's cheaper if nothing else. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Not sure about using the same wee, it might be 'contaminated' somehow now - tho I'm no expert!

Hi All.

Soph73 · 11/05/2007 09:17

Morning all!

MrsMcJ - vertical c-sections Have met lots of people here who´ve had c-sections and they definately were not vertical! Also have a friend who had here baby here naturally and they definately did not push on her bump but stirrups are compulsory (I think!) However, also had a friend that did as she liked because she screamed until they let her (that was 10 years ago though). However, you´ll be OK if you´re having baby in Scotland and it really isn´t as bad as it sounds over here.

Meto - sorry to hear about DH being away, I´ll keep my fingers crossed that he can nip home for a quickie

Plummymummy - ooo so excited for you sending huge positive vibes your way.

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 09:15

Pretty much but with those tests the line is covered by the moisture evaporating iyswim, but i could see the line underneath and also underneath the paper between the card and the top layer. I would love to be excited but I am dubious about these tests as a few posters have said they've had sort of false positives with them. Do you think I should try a clear blue or first response? I saved the wee

lissielou · 11/05/2007 09:07

did they come up straight away?

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 09:05

They were pinky grey and yes on all three. Period due tuesday.

lissielou · 11/05/2007 09:01

did you get lines on all 3? were they grey? and when is af due?

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 08:57

Sorry about your period meto. I did what I was told not to do - did a sensitive test. Well actually I did 3. Got two lines but very very faint. Could be evaporation lines. Will buy a first response or clear blue later and test again on sunday. Ooh I am sooo impatient.
