Oh forgot to say Lissie, according to the fertility calendars my fertile days start from cd8 (same day you're at now)which is a bit of a bummer when one is still menstruating (have long periods).

plummymummy · 12/05/2007 23:45

Scorpio, mine is not grey. Hmmm, might have to re-think. Sorry you're feeling down - is it maybe the aftermath of being ill? Pobletsmum - thanks for that. I don't temp (didn't think I would need to as conceived immediately before - however, may need to re-think my strategy now). Awen, good luck with the scan. Positive vibes going your way

pobletsmum · 12/05/2007 22:01

Plummy - I've never thought about the definiton of spotting before. Hmmmmm... Sorry if this is all TMI. I guess for me spotting is toilet-paper-when-you-wipe or pantyliner stuff, but I recently started to use a mooncup (2nd month & I think it's great!) so it was more difficult to know how much there was this month. Not much at all though, just red mixed with CM, no brown. My proper periods (not spotting) start with a big gush usually so the cut-off is obvious. I get a little bit of warning (just when I wipe) a few hours before it starts. I used to have VERY heavy periods & I never used to get any warning at all! Would taking your temperature help you to work out which is your real CD1? I don't know if you're temping. I'm lucky my temps are quite clear-cut & predictable and I see a drop on CD1.

Scorpio - sorry it's a bad day, but I'm glad you're feeling better after that bug. I just peeped at your profile page pics - your boys are gorgeous - you must be so proud!

Lissie - 'dont want dh getting too used to it' - I know what you mean! Poor DH had to wait months between 'sessions' during my pregnancy with DS, due to all day all night nausea/sickness, and then nearly 6 months after he was born!!!!! It was a long while till the next time too... probably only a few times in the last 2+ years, so I had him trained to wait! Suddenly increasing to TTC proportions this month came as a bit of a shock to him, and I don't want him getting used to it cos I'll probably have to 'starve' him again soon! I'm lucky he's the patient type!

Awen - I hope scan goes well on tuesday.

Hello everyone else!

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 18:52

plummy-it was funny, sort of greyish and a REALLY strong smell.if you think it is BV,please get it checked because it can cause mc.

lissie-i know, time drags doesnt it!

i am in a not so good place this evening....

lissielou · 12/05/2007 17:03

tbh plummy im only on day 8. it just seems to be dragging. we also have to see doc in june. the day after af is due

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 17:02

lissie

Plummy - they did a dating scan and it showed i was only 4/5 weeks so i only ov'd around cd40ish. Got my next scan on Tuesday - hopeful should be 6/7 weeks just to check hb. Sickness only been bad last 4 days. No actually sick tho.

Re the CM - I just have lots more and clear.. also has a salty odour sorry if tmi. I dont usually smell it.. honest

plummymummy · 12/05/2007 16:59

Thanks ladies Awen morning sickness is a very good sign that the pg hormones are strong, so at least that is some comfort. Wow - you got a bfp on CD64 How did you work out how many weeks you were? Sorry your month seems so long Lissie. I never have long to ttc after my period cos my cycle is short, but the two week wait still seems to drag on. Scorpio - was your cm a strange colour all month or just some of it? Mine has turned this funny colour only this week, but I had it last month too (maybe around the same time).

lissielou · 12/05/2007 16:58

lol, when i was pg with ds i had a lot of bleeding so no sex was nice to sleep!

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 16:57

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 16:56

my dp is having to 'amuse' himself now lol. Am too ick to be interested. I think he was glad of the rest.

lissielou · 12/05/2007 16:49

lol but i dont want dh getting too used to it

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 16:48

aww lissie - I'd bd most days from the moment bleeding stops. Good excercise too

lissielou · 12/05/2007 16:46

right is it me or are the cycle months getting longer. ive only just stopped bleeding so its pointless even trying til the 17th. and its a whole week til my hottest day. then ive got the 2ww to look forward too. then af arriving just as ive convinced myself....

feck it. off to the hut again!

MamaMaiasaura · 12/05/2007 16:41

just popping on to see how you all are. Keeping fingers crossed.

Plumy - i did loads of bfns and actually convinced myself I wasnt. Took until cd64 ish for bfp so hang in there hun. Not meaning to get hopes up, but you never know xx

Scorpio - I have loads of CM apparantly normal so fingers crossed for you too mate xx

Lots of babydust for you all. I have morning sickness (well all day sickness - and night too) but I am not going to complain cos just feeling very very lucky right now

scorpio1 · 12/05/2007 14:38

plummy, i can help you with info about BV, i have had it before. ask away!

i am better after my tummy bug now couldn't tell you if am pg or not, no symptoms either way. have tons of cm though, but maybe normal before a period?i don't really know!

hope everyone ok??

lissielou · 12/05/2007 13:13

will cross everything for you!

plummymummy · 12/05/2007 13:10

Oh and Lissie, yes I will still test on tuesday if no signs of the painters - though feeling less hopeful now

plummymummy · 12/05/2007 13:09

Sorry to hear about af pobletsmum When you say you had spotting for 5 days, do you mean just a bit or enough to need a pad/liner? I'm interested because I've noticed that I rarely seem to have full flow until 4 days into my period, but I wouldn't really call the brown stuff I have before it "spotting" because it is too much. It is too much for a pantyliner. Therefore I tend to call cycle day one the day after I get this brown blood (which is heavier by day 2). This is why my period lasts beyond 7 days - hence my theory that I may need to bd while I am still bleeding. I can't bring my appt forward because it is the first available appt with a female GP and I would rather wait and see a woman. I don't have a lot of confidence in male doctors when it comes to these issues (though I'm sure there are many excellent ones - just bad experience on my part).

pobletsmum · 12/05/2007 10:27

Plummymummy - sorry to hear about odd CM - good that you're going to have it checked out. Would you be able to bring the appointment forward? I hope you get a 'real' BFP in the next couple of days.

MrsMcJnr - COngratulations!

Lexie100 - thanks for the access diagnostics code. How long is it valid for? I hope not to have to stock up again before BFP! Please add yourself to list so we can keep up with your cycle days .

As for me, AF turned up yesterday, after 5 days of spotting (unheard of for me). I'm quite relieved because of the antibiotics which I'm still taking. Every time I take one (4 times a day, an hour before food), I feel so sick until I eat something. Anyone know how important the hour before food rule is? Anyway, will definitely be going for it this month. Do I need to go to June thread now? Don't really understand when to move threads.

Sweetkitty & Soph73 can I join you as cycle buddies? I will ov any time my body feels like it, but has been CD14-25(!), average CD18.

lissielou · 11/05/2007 21:59

oh still, test on tues!

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 21:25

Thank you that is very sweet but after analysing the test instructions I saw that there is a line (like a seam)which is between the max line and the test region so I think I was mistaking this for a second line. Stupid design destined to make us hopefuls needlessly more hopeful! They should design it so that the line in question is a different colour or put wording underneath it to denote that it is not in the test part.

lissielou · 11/05/2007 21:15

oh plummy, evap lines dont come up straight away, they appear after 10 mins and are grey. i so want this to be it for you!

plummymummy · 11/05/2007 21:09

Couldn't find anything on the internet when googling that herb name.
