TTC after recurrent miscarriage

Hi, just wondering if anyone else was in a similar place to me and wanted to chat about it? I'm 30, TTC my first and have had three miscarriages, all early (two natural MCs at five weeks, then a MMC where a scan at 6+5 revealed development had again stopped at 5 weeks). I've had RMC tests and am just waiting on the results of that but hoping to be able to TTC again from my next period, which should come any day now. I've found throughout the whole thing (have been TTC just over a year now) that it's really helped me to chat with people in similar positions, so if anyone wants to be TTC buddies please let me know!

I second fox. Amazing job on the personals Schnitzel!

My cramps are better thanks fox. I think I had just forgotten what a proper period was like to be honest!

Schnitzel I hope your ovaries behave themself this time.

Hello again, going to have an attempt at personals now I've tried to get up to speed with the full thread and everyone's back story (please forgive any mistakes).

Foxtrot - so sorry to read of your BFN (but there's still time for that to change ...) , and glad your friend shared that info about her previous losses and that meeting the baby was okay.

Anne - are you using a type of monitor that gives you green days (Persona?) or is that just a turn of phrase? I hope that the family event this weekend isn't as bad as you fear ...

Mog - fingers crossed for your scan coming up next week and I hope you're feeling okay - I know the anxiety sort of builds the nearer you get to the date.

Keepon - I remember reading the uterine septum thread a while back and feeling so saddened by your story so far - but now really glad to hear that your surgery and time to recover afterwards is out of the way. Hope the post-hormone AF isn't too hideous.

Karen79 - so sorry to hear of your losses, it's just incredibly unfair that you have to deal with difficulty conceiving alongside pregnancy loss.

Bertie - I've also encountered your story on other threads - I believe that you or your DH has a balanced translocation, correct? Fingers crossed for a positive airport pee!!

Miami - I was absolutely gutted to read of your loss of your beloved daughter. It's so sh*t and horribly unfair.

Lisa - still sending doubling vibes...

AFM: AF has arrived today, I think (bright red, increasing flow = probably not just spotting), 4 days after my course of progesterone finished. Really delighted to see her (very rarely i say that) but now wondering whether ovulation will play ball or not ... I was annovulatory for about 7 months after my last D&C so my body has a history of refusing to cooperate!

Good to hear from you mog. How many weeks will you be at your scan next week?

Bertie I'm impressed about your lack of knowledge about what cycle day you are! Hopefully the lack of spotting is a good sign. I can't remember, is it a girly weekend you're back for?

fox how long are your cycles normally? Well done for holding off on the POAS.

I'm not even sure what cycle day I'm on since I've reset my phone and not yet reinstalled fertility Friend! Am in airport trying to guess who is Scottish and who is German without hearing them talk.

No spotting sounds good. I have constipation pre period and early pregnancy. I think it is the same hormones that cause it so not a sign either way.

I hope you can distract yourself today and tomorrow Lisa.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 16/11/2017 09:44

Really hoping for you with the flat, Bertie. And fingers crossed for the test, too.

Blood taken, so just have to wait until tomorrow lunchtime to call for results. Which currently feels like a million years away!

Nope not tested yet. I am thinking I'll get one when I land, or just tomorrow, because the cheaper ones in the UK are much better than the cheap ones here and I can't do a dip strip in an airport toilet.

Have had no spotting yet which is tentatively good? I normally spot for 3-5 days before AF. I don't know my exact ovulation date, but I feel like I normally would be spotting by now. TMI though - have been constipated which is normally a period sign and when pushing yesterday that produced the slightest smear of (vaginal) blood so may be on its way. I'm not saying I'm out but I'm not hugely hopeful either. We will see.

MogScratch · 16/11/2017 08:29

Lisa - that sounds a good starting point. I really hope the bloods today have shown the increase they should.

Bertie - fingers crossed you get the flat. Have you done your pre weekend test yet?

Keepon - great that your cycles seem to be back quickly and fingers crossed the surgery solves your problems.

Hi Karen - what a long time you have been trying, that must make the loses even harder to cope with. Will they change anything for the next transfer or just hope this time it works better?

Seahorses - have your cycles seemed to return to normal after miscarriage yet?

Foxtrot - have you done another test since Tuesday?

My scan is next week, feels like it has been a long time since the last one.

Seahorsesandunicorns · 16/11/2017 05:36

Usually a lurker waves frantically
Just want to say that I've really enjoyed following your thread. I'm trying to conceive after a MMC last month at 13 weeks. Lisa I really hope your bloods crazily multiple for a sticky pregnancy. Anne, I've loved reading your journey, I feel like I could have a wild night out with you on the ale (haha not good whilst on this ttc lark). All of you are great and so informative (who needs google). I really hope you all get the BFPs you so deserve!

Don't know :( DH is impatient and wants to call them tomorrow. I've NEVER heard him volunteer to make a German phone call, ever, so I think he really really wants it.

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2017 21:15

bertie, that sounds amazing, so happy for you and excited about good things happening for you all! Fingers and toes crossed. When will you know?

BertieBotts · 15/11/2017 21:09

Apparently only one other person had looked at it other than us and the current tenant said he would put in a good word for us.

BertieBotts · 15/11/2017 21:08

We went to see the apartment this morning and it was SO lovely and perfect for us. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!! It would literally be a dream come true. I can't see a single downside of it.

TheIntrovertedMum · 15/11/2017 20:31

Could it be something as simple as taking baby aspirin?

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/11/2017 20:08

That sounds really good lisa. You are most definitely pregnant. God I hope this is the one, crossing everything for you. Hold tight little simpsonoff. Rooting for you all.

CD8 today and, green days coming up soon. Work is a massive bastard this week and I'm tired and grumpy. Got a big family do at the weekend and I'm already pissed off with all of them.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 15/11/2017 19:26

Really glad things seem to be moving quickly for you now, keepon - enjoy that condom free sex! Grin We just did withdrawal when we were not trying for testing, and was so glad to not have to deal with the, ahem, mess anymore...
