Anyone eaten specific food to determine sex and it worked

So I was at a family party last night and was told one of my aunts ate specific foods to have a girl, and it worked...
I didn't even know this was a "thing" has anyone else done this?
I'm actually a mother to a DD and never did this I'm more than over the moon to have her and whatever may or may not be next time around. I'm just curious and have too much time on my hands!

I never said it worked was purely curious as to if anyone else had tried it.
Of course it's coincidence just like having the vindaloo the evening I went into labour, who's to say I wouldn't of had my daughter that day anyway??
It's harmless and i was merely curious.

Of corse it isn't a real thing. It's 50/50. Sperm decides, not random food.

Of course it doesn't work, it would be a violation of the most basic biology of reproduction.

When you have a 50% chance of getting either sex whatever you do there will always be idiots people willing to swear blind that they did X and it worked.

Apparently if you smoke staight after sex you have a slightly higher Janice if having a boy ..was years ago when I read about it though so is most likely bullshit.

my friend did and had a girl and thinks it played a part in it.

It's not a thing. Sperm determines the sex of the baby.
