Hi Ladypug. Yes. We try to support each other through some of the difficulties of ttc. Yes 5th Cycle means 5th month...more or less. Welcome and good luck xx

LadyPug · 29/08/2017 21:53

Hey everyone, ah ok I get it! Anyone trying joins on to this thread whilst they wait, right? I started my own thread! Had no idea! Hey everyone, ovulating currently, long wait ahead! Ps when people say fifth cycle etc do they mean fifth month of trying etc? In which case this is my first cycle! Newbie all round!!!

Nubian9454 · 29/08/2017 21:41

Welcome to all the new ones joining us. Baby dust to all!

Sorry about car Mother. That's really a stress you don't need. Big hug Flowers

MotherofBoy · 29/08/2017 19:56

Definitely no hope for me this month. As if I wasn't already stressed enough my car has broken down and garage tells me it needs an entire new engine at £2,700 😨

Karpuzkiz · 29/08/2017 18:08

I'm currently 8dpo and awful right side pain today. Do you think it could be implantation? Ive no bleeding or anything what else could be the pain? I've no other symptoms at all. I was planning to test Friday too alexsmum! I spent a lot on FRER last month haha!

veggielover4 · 29/08/2017 16:07

Hello, hope no one minds me joining, I'm on cycle 8 of ttc #2 (ugh) am 33, dd is 16 months

I haven't used contraception since April 2014 so can relate, I've had 3 pregnancies in that time but the first two ended in miscarriage.

Was really hoping to get pregnant quick this time but no such luck, am wondering if it's ever going to happen this time round tbh!

Currently in the horrible midst of the tww with AF due on the 5th.

Right moan over, thanks for listening ladies & baby dust to all xx

MynameisJune · 29/08/2017 15:51

Thanks for starting the September thread, as Af is due 8th I may as well move over now.

Hi to all the newbies, this is cycle 5 for us. DD is 21 months and I'm 32 nearly 33

Lopey I've been off contraception since 2008! And have only ever been pregnant once resulting in DD. It's one of the reasons that my GP has referred me for tests and scans as you'd generally expect more in 9 years of constant unprotected dtd.

roseandtime · 29/08/2017 11:21

DCs rather, not just DDs!

roseandtime · 29/08/2017 11:21

Is anyone else's cycles messed up after having their DD? Mine used to be 29 days like clockwork so it was easy to track and chart, but now mine vary between 22 days and sometimes 37!! They're settling out to be around 24 though I think... Bfing can't be helping I guess. So all I'm doing is temping and using fertility friend to try and get an estimate, then DTD basically everyday for well around my fertile window, as I feel like I can't pinpoint it to a few days before ovulation. It's less the not getting pregnant quick thing which is annoying me, but rather not knowing if my fertility has even returned yet! I could be doing all this for nothing, and should maybe be focusing on weaning her off the boob and then trying later! But I've had my period back for 8 months, so hopefully...

AlexsMum89 · 29/08/2017 10:59

@karpuzkiz when do you think you'll test? Are you all self controlled and will wait for AF/non arrival? I think I'm going to use a FRER on Friday just to waste a little more money haha

cautiousoptimist1 · 29/08/2017 09:52

Hi again ladies,

I took some time away from posting after last AF but have been lurking. I feel a bit more relaxed this month and am already in the 2ww.

I'm 34, TTC #2, #1 is 15 months and I'm on cycle 3 and AF due 9th/10th Sept.

MotherofBoy · 29/08/2017 08:52

lopey for the stats I've been trying since February. I think I am the longest one Sad

MotherofBoy · 29/08/2017 08:51

Ps this is month 7 for me rose. Perfect timing, definite ovulation and age on my side (26). No idea what's wrong. Only thing I can think of is stress (had an exam in June, results for said exam in August, long commute, work stresses, trying to sell my house and move). Going to go to gp in December if no luck by then as would have been 10 months by Christmas

MotherofBoy · 29/08/2017 08:48

Hi ladies, sorry been a bit awol. We are hoping to move house in two weeks so been rather preoccupied! So much to do! Thanks for new thread lopey will read back this morning. Hope all younladies are doing ok! Have I missed any bfps?!!

I am 7dpo today. Did ovulate as temp did spike, eventually. Not feeling optimistic just feels like it's never going to happen and I was v stressed around ovulation. Don't think I'm going to test this month. Not sure I can bare seeing another bfn Sad

Karpuzkiz · 29/08/2017 08:16

Hello all newbies! Here's hoping for the BFPs. nubian I used the clearblue flashy faces this cycle and did manage to get the static which matched my ovulation pains so worked for me.

I'm due around Sunday/Monday too alexsmum so far I have resisted testing as I'm only 8dpo, although I'm not full of much hope we too keep missing the fertile window Sad guess all will be revealed in a few more days!

AlexsMum89 · 28/08/2017 23:11

Hi all can I join please? I'm 27, DS is 7 and trying for our 2nd.
AF is due on Saturday so im biting my nails a bit waiting

purplecat27 · 28/08/2017 22:11

Hi all, I'd like to join please. I'm 29 TTC #2, DD is 18 months. She's still breastfeeding, mainly at night/early morning but will feed during the day when I'm home too. I've no idea what my cycles are doing as haven't been keeping track at all but based on last month I should be due on this week, then it's all go! Planning to do sperm meets egg plan as that worked for us last time so have bought my OPKs tonight on eBay. I temped last time too but there's no chance of that working this time around, I rarely get 4 hours good, uninterrupted sleep! Good luck everyone!

EyeDrops · 28/08/2017 21:19

I'm into cycle 3 now... but frustratingly my DH keeps being away with work bang over my fertile windows!! Keeping fingers crossed for a lucky break this time.

DragonsandDungeons · 28/08/2017 20:25

Hello. I'll possibly join.

TTC #2, after 1 DC and a miscarriage.

I've currently got a strange situation where I'm getting positive tests (faintly) but I'm bleeding red. I'm thinking this is a chemical but still hopeful as my lines are darkening. If I'm correct I'll be joining you.

Good luck!

Cupcakesandlove · 28/08/2017 20:02

Hi,

Place marking from August.
26 TTC #2 DD is 21 months old.
Cycle 2
AF due 22.09

Penny31 · 28/08/2017 19:44

Hi! Can I join please? Had a tricky month last month and we weren't officially trying. AF has just finished so let the fun commence! Due to test around 15th Sep.

Good luck!

Boomerang456 · 28/08/2017 18:02

Hi, I'd like to join too. Currently in the two week wait and struggling to keep my mind on anything else!
Been trying about 4 months but not sure we've consistently managed to get our timings right.
Hoping this month will be it! Good luck all Smile

Nubian9454 · 28/08/2017 17:40

Thanks Kashy. I won't get the advanced ones then

KashyKash · 28/08/2017 16:14

Nubian I personally have found the clear blue digital much more reliable than the advanced flashy face ones. I've never had a problem getting a reading on the digital ones but the advanced ones I've found really temperamental. I've had a lot of sticks that just don't give a reading at all which is a waste of money. I did manage to get two days of flashy faces and a static face last month but no static face this month. It might just be me though and you'd have no problems. I feel like I've been ranting on about opks all day, sorry!

LopeyLopez · 28/08/2017 15:41

@rose and unicorn, I was bf until a month ago when DS was 22 months, although to be fair the feeds had got so short and so few and far between he probably only latched on two or three times in the whole of July! I don't think such a low level of bfing would have affected things for me, especially as my cycles were all ok and I was clearly ovulating.

I think if you are bf a lot then prolactin levels can hinder your fertility....but I also know people who have got pregnant easily whilst breastfeeding. I guess like many things it is very individual.

I haven't actually used any contraception since March 2014!! Shock But in that time I have only been pregnant once, and only had one baby....!
