Yum was in need of a new thread, and I thought the title was apt because it's not just TCOYF charts anymore... hope it's ok?? I don't want anyone to think I am taking over

Just needing something, anything, to take my mind OFF my impending doom

hello... I have been wading through all the messages in the conception forum and not quite sure where to start! I am in cycle 1 of charting using fertility friend (online). I have previously read parts of the Toni Weschler book. I also have two gorgeous girls - 11yo and 6 months. The latter was worth the wait!! AF has returned but no idea whether I am ovulating yet. Still trying to work everything out and, fingers crossed, hoping the next dc isn't ten years away .

BellaBear · 12/08/2007 17:55

Hi Ready, glad to see you!

Ready · 12/08/2007 16:27

Cityangel - You're a late night MNer aren't you?
I am sorry to hear that you are having to think of going private. Do you think it is because of location that affects the speed of appointments and the like? I mean, there are obviously going to be more people waiting in the big cities.
How have you felt not temping for all this time? I am not so obsessed with it as I was, I take it every few days just to see a pattern I guess. It's nice not waking up every day and thinking about it. The other morning I woke up and found my thermometer in bed with me. I can only assume I woke to my temp alarm, put it in my mouth and fell back to sleep.
We watched the Chelsea match today, and I said to DH that it'd be a happy Cityangel household. Do you think it says something that DH knows what I am talking about Fingers crossed the win boosts the o~ to their destination

It's funny you should say about real life friends - I certainly haven't shared even half as much with them as I have with my MN friends. I often think how lucky I am to have "met" such lovely people through an internet site. Something I never thought would happen when I first clicked on.

cityangel · 12/08/2007 01:26

Ready waffle away...So pleased you are about

I am really pleased your tests worked out. We may need to save up and go private soon as ours are taking ages and they couldn't have been more negative about temping. I haven't temped for 3 months... so pleased (not) that I bought all the kit/ software etc before the doc rubbished it. I am sure if temping was that effective a contraception it would put Durex etc out of business.

Not weird at all its nice to be part of your life, all be it in a round about way. I often think of you guys. I wonder whether real life friends would make as much effort to look out for each other and be honest if it was all anonymous. When I say I wonder I think I know the answer

Good luck to dh. I don't know much about the profession but I imagine there is uncertainty and lots of competition, but I hope things work themselves out. I guess at least you don't have to move yet. My dh is off to the CFC game tomorrow and I hope they win as its key OV time

Last week we had more nookie than we've ever had... annoying it was a week to early but I've discovered I need to book weekends away at key time

Hello to everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the nice weather xxx

Ready · 11/08/2007 17:45

I said I'd try not to waffle didn't I?

Ready · 11/08/2007 17:33

Cityangel - I'm glad you're glad I'm back ... I'll try not to waffle too much about our tests ... My GP has been fantastic. I've had the Day21 test, progesterone level of 48 - Phew My GP was really impressed with my charts too, "text book" she called them [smug]

We've had our first consultation with the gynae, who talked us through DH's sperm analysis, which is, in a nutshell, fine. If when you get your DHs results you need to discuss any aspects, I'm here - I'm an expert now . The consultant said that we have the sperm, and the eggs, and just wanted to make sure there was nothing stopping the two from meeting. Hence the HSG (yesterday). The radiographer said it all looked normal, but I still have to go on the 21st to discuss it. I am due to ovulate today/tomorrow, so we won't be ttc this cycle but I am worried that the HSG might affect any pregnancy, and to be honest, I am quite tender still

So there you have it.

I thought of you actually when I was with my consultant (is that weird?) when we discussed temping. He said that temping didn't prevent conception, but he thinks that some women concentrate too much on temping and forget to have sex. I don't think either of us fall into that group so temp away

DH still isn't fixed up it's the first game of the season he has been without a club since he became a pro Keep your fingers crossed for him. I am sure he will help with your fantasy league team. He does one with his friends. I've done it the last few seasons, but opted out this time, as my heart just wasn't in it. Good luck for the season

cityangel · 11/08/2007 02:02

Hey everyone. The wonderful messages really help. Sometimes I don't dare log back in again in case you've all gone. But today I got lucky

Ready so glad you are back I didn't realise you're going down the test path too. What others have you had? Let me know how you get on. How is dh... let me know if he can help me win fantasy football, have now joined 2 leagues

3catsoo and Seaside what is your latest news?
Thinking how goes it? Rainbow days how are you feeling?

So me...

TMI - but last month AF was incredibly heavy and 2 days late. So I am hopeful some stuff is working.

Just got back from holiday and dh was rampant. Really annoyed as it wasn't the right time, but heh ho.

Off to bed.. great to catch up xxx CA

Ready · 10/08/2007 17:55

Hi girls. I'm back!!

Cityangel - good luck next week, sweets. I'll be thinking of you. Hope you are ok. Try not to worry about work, it's not ideal, but you've waited long enough for these results, so don't feel bad about taking time off for them.
Hugs, this is cycle 12 for us too - so I know how you are feeling. I keep trying to think, that it is still perfectly normal for it to take 18 months. Hang in there petal!

3cats - how are you? Sorry I wasn't around whe you were having all your issues. But pleased to hear the latest was DH giving in, with no pressure . Are you on holiday? Fingers crossed you come back with some news for us

Thinking - How are you? Sorry I have been out of the loop for a bit, did you get a BFP? Or did your new cycle start?

Seaside - Lovely to see you here, checking in on us. It is a very intimate group here isn't it

Rainbowdays - Lovely to hear that all is well with you.

I had my HSG today, eurgh. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I feel a bit crampy now, but DH is taking me out for a meal, since I was so brave

seaside72 · 09/08/2007 08:46

cityangel - just popped on to see how you all were and wantd to wish you lots of luck for your appointment - dont worry about work (I know easy for me to say!) - tell some white lies if you need to - it will be worth it for your peace of mind that you are being proactive. Look at me - 20 months no contraception, 14 months concerted TTC the month I started my fertility appointments with the specialist I got my bfp. I was the first to say it would not happen to me but it did. Keep the faith. {{{{{big hugs}}}}}

3Cats - thinking of you hon and hoping you are doing OK. Hope you are having/have a god holiday

Thinking - hi [waves] I am glad there are some new recruits joining this lovely thread - nice and intimate - look after each other and good luck

Ready - xxxxxxxxxxxx to you hon if you see this.

cityangel · 08/08/2007 22:09

Ready and Catsoo thinking of you.

Have my appointment with Barts Fertility clinic next week and it's a nightmare clash with a big profile work thing. Needless to say I am still going but it's drawing too much attention to a 'hospital appointment' and I rang to try and move it and would have lost 2 months! I have already been waiting for our test results for 2 months!

This week it's exactly a year of trying :0(

cityangel · 08/08/2007 22:05

Rainbowdays that's great. How are you doing? Sorry I haven't been about it's all getting hard now.

Rainbowdays · 04/08/2007 09:31

Hi all, just thought I would come back to let you know that after a week of faint tests I finally got a BFP big and fat so, looks like I am pg again. Hoping this one stays in place.

Wishing you all soon to get bpf's too.

Thinking · 02/08/2007 12:36

Forgot to add...yeah on the sucessful jumping on your DH. My DH went to sleep ...grrr. I know it is only for practice but really.

Thinking · 02/08/2007 12:34

TBH I'm bored. I want a brand new cycle, so we have a chance of ovulating. I want aF to appear, so I can have a big glass of wine.

I am sick of 'finding' symptoms when the BFN's test have told me all I need to know...just because I keep feeling queasy and tired doesn't mean anything, as they are typical PMT symptoms (apparantly)

So I am really hopeing that the witch turns up sooner rather than later

3catstoo · 01/08/2007 23:12

Big hugs to you Rainbowdays. Hope this is the one that sticks.
Fingers crossed. Keep us posted.

Hi Thinking. How are you doing?

DH gave in again last night, with no pressure from me.
He's away tonight though so he gets a night off and I get to hope Ov is over for this cycle and we've done enough this time.
I know I shouldn't pressure but this feeling has not gone away in 3 years and I feel I have to give it my all. If it doesn't happen at least I know we both tried.

AF will be due whilst we are on hols, so will be taking a test with me along with the sanitary stuff for AF.

Thinking · 01/08/2007 14:22

RainbowDays,

Everything crossed that your bean is a sticky one.

Would your doctor do a blood test or two for you and then you would know for sure if your hormone levels were climbing or not ?

Keep us posted.

Rainbowdays · 01/08/2007 13:51

Hi all, sorry I have not been here, I am currently posting on several threads as I don't know quite where I belong. As you know I had a miscarriage on the 2nd July and am surprised to be pg again so quickly. But unfortunately as last time the pg tests are staying as faint positives only (I have done different makes too) so I am feeling like I might well be losing this baby too. But I don't know for sure yet, so I am in a no-mans-land right now. I will either be back to let you know that I have m/c'd or that I have finally got a Big Fat Positive. But until then I am inbetween!

3cats - sorry to hear that dh has been less than obliging with you, some men just take ttc too personally and feel the pressure too much. But it makes it 100 times worse for you. Thank you for spotting my chart though!

Hi to everyone else.

Thinking · 01/08/2007 11:59

3catstoo,

Sorry your DH is being funny. I know what you mean, when THEY are too tired the wife is being unreasonable in being horny at them but if we are tired we are still being the unreasonable one

3catstoo · 31/07/2007 15:03

Me again.

Just found Rainbowdays on Due April thread.

Huge congrats Rainbowdays, if you are there.

3catstoo · 31/07/2007 14:56

I had a chart spot just.
Noticed that Rainbowdays chart says + hpt on CD 25, last Thursday.

She hasn't been on here for a few weeks.
Anyone else know anything. Looks like good news if that chart is upto date.

3catstoo · 31/07/2007 14:47

I should add that DH is not totally lazy. He has a long journey to and from work. 2 hours each way every day, so that's why he's tired.

I'm just not very sympathetic when I'm left with a sleepy husband every night and during the weekends.

3catstoo · 31/07/2007 14:44

I shall carry on wittering away to myself .

DH and I had another debate last night. I felt so stressed as I had a +ve opk yesterday evening.

In the end DH figured that he would get to sleep sooner if he just gave in .
Sometimes the nagging works !

Now I have to plan the same again tonight.
I'm banning tv for a few days in the hope that our sex life perks up a bit . DH agreed that if we watch a bit of tv after eating, he starts to fall asleep and is not capable of much (not the case when he's been out for a drink though !)

I went to see a friend today who had her 4 th baby on saturday.
Only popped in for a sec to give gifts etc.
The baby was gorgeous.
I'm going back at the end of the week for a proper visit and to have a cuddle.

My friend was lovely. She knows the story and is so supportive. I was hoping we would fall for number 4 together. Not to be.

Hope you are all well, wherever you are !!!

3catstoo · 30/07/2007 09:31

Morning All.

Well I've given up hope on this cycle.
My opks only arrived this morning so not sure if I've ov'd already.

DH and I had a big row at 2am, this morning.
TMI warning !
I couldn't sleep but as always he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow (not even a kiss goodnight !).

At 1.30am he woke to go to the loo, so I thought I would make the most of the oportunity and pounce ! . Well with a few days of ewcm, I thought ov was due.
He was not impressed but carried on as he was too tired to fight me .
I was happy and thought I'd succeeded.
Not so. After a (fair) while he decided it was taking too long and that it wasn't going to happen FOR HIM ! Rolled over and said no more.

I was furious. He hadn't considered me in this and just thought of his own gratification (or lack of).

I then decided to have a bit of a tantrum (I think mainly spurred by my lack of success in getting his sperm at my crucial time! )

I told him something along the lines of him getting the same treatment from me when he isn't so tired and he is in the mood for bding.

Sorry, you probably didn't want to know any of that but I had to share it to relive some of my anger.

I'm so hoping that I've ovd already and we had done enough already.

The fact that DH said we have to stop ttc in Sept as it's been long enough, has made me all stressed about it happening this month.

He is off for 2 weeks from next Monday and AF will be due in that time. I'm dreading it.

Hope you all had a better weekend than me.

3catstoo · 30/07/2007 09:16

Fingers crossed for you Thinking.

Thinking · 29/07/2007 20:01

I'm waiting out my long cycle and hoping that next month I might ovulate or have a normal length cycle or maybe both if I'm lucky.
