Yum was in need of a new thread, and I thought the title was apt because it's not just TCOYF charts anymore... hope it's ok?? I don't want anyone to think I am taking over

Just needing something, anything, to take my mind OFF my impending doom

3cats - Honestly, from what I have heard and read the % when it comes to semen can look more worrying than the reality. Try to think of it in terms of millions of sperm per ml of semen, if your DH count is high, then 5% of good 'uns for him means potentially way more viable sperm per shot than someone with say 15% viable but a smaller count.

I hope that makes sense? And if the consultant says not to worry then I would go along with it, because sorting sperm ismuch easier these days apparently, and if they were worried, they'd sort that first.

But keep him on the selenium oh, and zinc is supposed to be good for them too

Fingers crossed for half term

Well before AF arrived I was thinking that I would not get to try anymore as DH was so awkward around Ov.

Now AFS been and gone I'm thinking differently, of course.

Also Ov is hopefully going to be during half term, which DH has got off. Maybe that will help our case and he will be more relaxed and up for a bit of midweek excitement .

I will hold off with the opks and just go for it.

After my appt with the fertility clinic last week, I am concerned about DHs sperm motility.

Although he had a very high count, once you excluded the slow movers, non movers and not properly formed, it was something like 5% were OK.
They thought that would not be a problem because of the high count.
I really need a vopy of the results as I can only remember so much.

I'm trying to feed DH foods high in selenium, without him knowing why. So he's eating loads of brazil nuts .

Fingers crossed for you too Ready.

Ready · 14/10/2007 21:04

Ooops, sorry 3cats - I had you hanging up your boots too early
I think it is a good idea to forget the OPKs and just enjoy your birthday cycle and have plenty of sex!!! My fingers and toes are crossed for you - it is meant to be

I am ok, CD18 and we've had a good go this cycle, and yet I don't really feel very optimistic. We shall see

3catstoo · 14/10/2007 20:33

Hi girls.

Glad you are having a good time City.

One more try Ready, I think. DH did say I had until end of Oct so I should have one more Ov to go.
Of course I am all up for trying again. I felt so diheatened again when I knew AF was on her way.

I thought I might try to forget the OPKs this month but pin DH down (as it's my last try) and have sex more than ever.

This month wasn't good as I had so many migraines and DH had some tummy bug that seemed to go on forever, so we both lacked energy.

It's my birthday in this cycle so I hope I get the best present ever.

How are things with you Ready?

Ready · 14/10/2007 13:03

Listen to the high roller popping in and out again!!! What did I tell you about thinking about MN while you were away!!! tut!

Hope you are having a grand ol' time - play Black number 8 for me on the roulette table

Thank you for your kind words City and Ready.

I don't feel pmt ish today but hey that could change in a second.

Big hugs all round.

Ready · 08/10/2007 23:45

City - Have a wonderful holiday, and have a good few cocktails for me Just relax and enjoy yourself! ... We are splitting our time between EastAnglia and the WMidlands at the moment, dh on trial. If it works out we will be closer than where we were before, which will be good for our Christmas meet 'See' you when you get back

Ready · 08/10/2007 23:37

Another fan of Bluewater hey??

cityangel · 08/10/2007 23:31

hey everyone missed you and I haven't even made it on hols yet! Spent the entire weekend with babies... literally... got used to it now. Annoying side effect right arm is sore as its not used to holding cute things!

Off to Vegas tomorrow must be the only visitor heading out to buy Pre-natal vits! Also planning on some naughty pre-baby cocktail time! That's if we ever get lucky!

Ready I can't believe you went to Bluewater without me! How's tricks will have a naughty cocktail for you this weekend! Are you south east longer term?

3catsoo hope things are getting better. It's hard to know what to say about things for your guys but you must let us know how you get on after your appointment tomorrow. I'll try and get on at the airport but if not I hope it works out. Dh had a migraine this weekend nooooo fun :0( What does your doc say about yours?

Hey Mrs MC if you're out there :0)

Right off to finish packing!

Ready · 08/10/2007 22:41

3cats - I really hope tomorrow brings some good news. I am sorry that you have been battling with DH over ttc. It is hard enough each month without having to persuade DH it is a good idea And to repeat the old cliche, but it might happen when you stop trying. Do look in on us from time to time, won't you
When I lived in Northants, the MK Centre was our nearest big shopping centre. I did like it there. I guess I was just totally spoilt with Bluewater and Trafford Centre either side of the MK So long as there is a John Lewis or Selfridges I am happy

City - Hope you are ok flower Having a blast in Vegas? Are you/did you go to the Grand Canyon? A few people I know went on helicopter days out when they were in Vegas. Where are you in your cycle? Fingers crossed

3catstoo · 08/10/2007 20:00

Retail therapy sounds good . I've never been to Bluewater.
Lakeside was as far as I got before I left London.

I hit the shops too today, but not for me. Milton Keynes is my nearest big shopping centre.

I have my final fertility clinic appt tomorrow lunchtime. I'm hoping they will give me more details about DHs results.

AF also due tomorrow. I had slight spotting today, so with that and the migraines, I'm sure it's on its way .

I don't think DH will be up for trying anymore either. I'm not sure if I can put up with his mood swings on the subject anymore though.

This could be the end of the line for ttc. Fingers crossed that tomorrow brings good news.

I'm going to join a gym and get into shape to try to take my mind of things. Maybe I'll be luckier when we've stopped trying.

Have you had your HSG yet City? Forgive my forgetfulness, please.

Until tomorrow.........night night.....xxxx

Ready · 07/10/2007 20:51

Sorry about the mammoth migraine Glad you are feeling better now though.

No news here really. Went shopping in Bluewater yesterday - some retail therapy for my breaking heart Chanel does wonders

3catstoo · 07/10/2007 16:38

Hi Ladies, sorry I wasn't on here much last week. I had a 3 day migraine again, but fine now.

Will catch up tomorrow.

Hugs to you both.

Ready · 05/10/2007 22:04

Don't be so daft!! It wasn't a dig at you not posting. It was just in general, how it has dwindled.
You have a ruddy marvellous time in Vegas and don't even think about MN!! That's an order

cityangel · 05/10/2007 21:38

Oh Ready really sorry, its not always easy to get on after work...

I'm going to Las Vegas. I must be the only person looking up pre-natal vitamin shows there!

Sorry you're feeling down. Really hope things work out.

I know what you mean about the imagination mine has gone too...

I hope you feel better now. I will try and get on when I am away next week to cheer you up. Where's 3catsoo?

Ready · 03/10/2007 23:31

This thread really has slowly faded out hasn't it

I have insomnia this evening, DH away and I am staying at MILs on my own.

I am having a really low day with regards to ttc, I just can't seem to ever imagine getting a BFP and it's starting to get me down.

Ready · 03/10/2007 12:43

oooh. where are you going??

cityangel · 03/10/2007 02:18

Oh good we can be wimps together when it finally happens for us!

Am off on holiday next week Looking forward to getting away from it all work is very stressful at the moment.

How are you? Where is 3cats? Any lurkers?

Ready · 02/10/2007 17:36

City - You may be pleased to know, I am a big wimp. My pain threshold is poor Goodness knows how I will cope with childbirth

cityangel · 01/10/2007 23:34

Thanks for your advice Ready I just hope your pain threshold isn't higher than mine like everyone else's seem to be!

Glad you're back online :0) Off to bed

3cats how goes it?

Ready · 30/09/2007 10:57

I am not going anywhere city . We now have a laptop (swanky!) and I am sitting in my MILs breakfast room, DH is watching some football programme and I am getting my MN fix No worries about people looking at MN in the history.

Giggle. Very funny that al fayed had to walk in with the fans - I bet he loved that

My fingers are crossed for you City that you don't need the HSG, but if you do, don't worry about it keeping you out of work. I was tender afterwards, but internally , so as long as you can sit in a chair at work, then you will be fine. Just take it easy

3cats how are you doing?? How is the medication for the thyroid going? Have you had your levels checked lately??

cityangel · 30/09/2007 01:34

Ready missed you Glad you feel more relaxed sorry its CD3 Glad your back as I haven't worked out how to Cat yet.

Went to Stamford Bridge today. Worst play ever, terrible atmosphere. Mohammed Al Fayed got there too late for his car to drive in and had to walk with us. Best chant ever.... you own a small shop in Fulham, small shop in Fulham! On the way out the Mourinho Superman T-shirt sellers were making a killing!

CD10 hoping this month works as if not have HSG on 22 Oct. You had it I think you said? (sorry if wrong) I am hoping it isn't going to keep me out of work as I am struggling to keep fertility appointments quiet.

I hope all your moving works out. Keep us posted and don't go too far

3catsoo how is your weekend?
