I've never tried Winter Pims what does it taste like? Will miss sherry the most this winter I think!

3catstoo · 03/12/2007 16:39

Hi Ladies,

Glad to hear that the scan went well City .

Hi Ready, big hugs to you.

The Winter Pimms is quite addictive .

Needless to say I got nowhere with Dh. Besides that I have had the worst bout of thrush I've had in years. I think due to the antibiotics for spots (which haven't gone anywhere). DH has been 'dying' with a cold .

Iampg, you are not butting in at all.
You have the right story yes. The fact that DH didn't wear a condom for 15 months (up until last month)makes it worse. So he did do his bit in a way. I just didn't get pregnant. It was a struggle, however, to get him to BD at the right time. He thinks he did his bit and now he's putting his foot down.

We had an interesting chat over the weekend though. I gathered from it that if I could guarentee him a boy he would be a bit more willing. Daft I know.

This month is pretty much out of the question as Ov is roughly Christmas, when my parents are staying (we have a really really really squeeky bed !!).

Thank you for your thoughts though. I shall not give in. I have the idea that I will not return to work until after I have had another baby. The longer he waits the longer it takes !!
Of course it will drive me insane if I have to stay at home alone. I do want to work, eventually. But I will fight my corner.

Best Wishes and Big Hugs to the 3 of you.

xxxx

cityangel · 02/12/2007 23:14

Oh Ready I understand how hard it must be to be in the party mode, when the time comes I prescribe a mohito or leggy chardonnay
Thanks for your lovely wishes.

How is dh? I always think of him when we watch the footie. We did well in Europe last week, but still don't seem top notch at home.

Is your family Christmas mad or adverse? We are the former with the dancing entourage and Christmas tree... I am sure some (most) of the people who came over at the weekend think we're nutters

3catstoo big hugs to you. I hope some festive relaxation is heading your way

Ready · 02/12/2007 22:22

Oh, ok. Well, we don't want you feeling bad, so chat is fine.
I will just post this about your pregnancy here though, as it is hard for me to visit the graduate thread at the moment... I am sorry to hear that you had lots of bleeding, but lovely to hear that the scan showed a heartbeat - that is wonderful news. All the very best.
Glad the drinks went well, hope you weren't rushed off your feet - still haven't had that cocktail for you, I am not really in the party mood at the moment, but I am sure that will change

cityangel · 02/12/2007 19:29

Hi Ready drinks went well I think. I thought I may be able to drink earlier in the week as I had lots more red bleeding. I was convinced I was losing it. Doctor sent us to A&E and amazingly the scan showed its still there 6 weeks old Saturday and has a tiny heartbeat . They could also see the source of the bleeding and I need to go back in a week if it hasn't stopped.

So for now fingers crossed...

I feel bad posting about being pg in here so I will post any more details on the other thread and stick in here for chats if that's ok?

I would really miss you guys if I have to go for good :0(

Ready · 02/12/2007 12:45

Good to see you Iampg - Hope all is well?

City - How did your drinks for 20 go? Hope you are well, liking the sound of the nausea . When is your scan? A week Monday I thought you said, but shamefully too lazy to scroll down and check .
I haven't had any alcohol yet, but as soon as I do, you can be sure it will be in your honour

3cats - How are you doing? Ok I hope, thinking of you. (hug)

cityangel · 29/11/2007 20:44

Hi Lampy, doing ok... vague nausea.. need to keep it together as have 20 people coming for drinks at the weekend!

iampgatlast · 29/11/2007 13:17

hi ladies

ready - i hope you are ok?

city - i hope you are resting and being positive xx

sorry if this seems like i am butting in but i was bored so thought i would toddle over to the conception thread and see how some old buddies are doing but then i have read about your story 3cats....am i right in what ive gathered that dp doesnt want any more children and is using condoms however you do and are trying to "persuade" him not to use them? apologies again if you think i am interfering but i just wanted to say what a friend of mine and dps did when he found out his wife was cheating.

our friend found out his wife was seeing another man (they have a very promiscuous relationship so i wont go into detail) but anyway he was frightened of her leaving him and thought the only way she wouldnt was if he got her pregnant which she was dead against and always insisted on condoms. because he couldnt get away with not using one as she would just stop all action, he got a needle and pricked all of the packets of condoms straight the way through so they were no longer "sealed". He did get her pregnant and a year later they had a son, the affair was stopped as soon as she found out she was pregnant and she now knows the truth about what happened and doesnt hold anything against her dh for doing it.

i just wanted to say that there could be other ways around it as what you are going through must be so so hard and semi selfish on your dhs part as you gave him more children when he wanted it but now wont even consider doing the same for you. i wish you luck hon xxx and sorry again if you think i am being nosey and speaking out of line. x

cityangel · 29/11/2007 00:27

thanks Ready thinking of you an 3catstoo

Ready · 28/11/2007 21:59

How was the winter Pimms 3cats?? How are you? Made any headway with DH? - Know what you mean about stubborness. Me and dh are both stubborn, neither willing to back down, even if we know we are wrong. Hope you are ok?

City - Ooh, insomnia, hope it is a symptom, and I am sure I hear that feeling horny was due to the pg hormones too - so fingers are firmly crossed for you, chick! Take it easy and look after yourself

3catstoo · 28/11/2007 15:03

Insomnia can be a symptom City .

Glad you're feeling reasured.

Hi Ready.

cityangel · 28/11/2007 00:11

thanks for the nice messages yes grad thread and everyone has been very reassuring.

Just have to wait and see I guess. Getting a scan a week Monday, can't wait to have some answers...

3catstoo I am also without nookie, taking it carefully after dishcarge so v. horny in different circumstances

Ready did you have that cocktail for me? I didn't notice how pissed everyone gets until now. Well off to bed I wonder if insomnia is a symptom?

Big hugs to you all

3catstoo · 27/11/2007 11:29

Sorry to hear about AF Ready, .

Those slightly longer periods are frustrating aren't they . Big hugs to you and thanks for your support.

DH and I are sitting to chat about it but we just go round in circles.

Fertile period is over now anyway (and still no sex !!!!)
I am feeling seriously frustrated now.
How stubborn we both are. Amd I shan't give in yet either .

I do feel more relaxed than normal though, maybe it's knowing I can expect AF no matter what. Might have a drink tonight ! I just bought myself a bottle of Winter Pimms to try. Ready for situations like these.

My positive side is saying now I can try for a Sept baby instead (thinking of school years etc - I have to have some positive thoughts otherwise I would be a total wreck).

City, so sorry about the discharge. Every women reacts differently to pg, but I bled early with all of mine, so it doesn't have to mean bad news. Hang in there and take it easy. I have everything crossed for xxxxxxxx

Ready · 26/11/2007 23:04

Oh City - I am sorry to hear about the discharge, try not to worry, I am sure there are some girls on the grads thread that can offer some advice. Are you going to try and get a scan? Hugs. Hope you are ok. Good news on the pg test positive though.
I know what you mean, I can't work out how the world carries on - good job the world isn't populated with lots of me

cityangel · 26/11/2007 22:30

Oh Ready that's really tough. I may be back in here soon having brown/ plum coloured discharge TMI and no symptoms apart from period pain, metalic taste and one moment of nausea that I think came from rushing about!

Good news is just did a 25miu pg test & it was positive so maybe there's hope

Before I couln't understand how anyone gets pg. I am now just constantly amazed how anyone ever ends up with kids.

I hope you're having that wine for me hun... I am sending the best hug over, big fluffy one!

Ready · 26/11/2007 11:24

Oh 3cats (hugs) - never feel that you are going on, not at all - we are all hear to lend an ear where people in RL we perhaps wouldn't feel able to share things with. Hope you are ok? Things are tough going for you at the moment. The only thing that I can say is you need to sit down and talk seriously about it all - and unfortunately it does seem as if one of you will have to compromise their position a bit which is shame, but the most important thing is your relationship. ((Thinking of you))

Cityangel - You feeling sick yet? How's it going?

CD2 here Absolutely gutted, heartbroken even. Had a 31 day cycle, just to tease me into daydreaming of being a Mum, and today it feels as though it will never happen

cityangel · 23/11/2007 00:47

You're not going on 3catstoo... its good to chat. There's no easy answer you're certainly in a tough spot. Short of devious and potentially counterproductive options like turning the condom inside out an putting it back in you're between a rock and a hard place.
I hope it works out

3catstoo · 22/11/2007 18:49

Thanks for the good wishes.

To my surprise DH was feeling amorous last night anyway. All was fine until in the heat of passion he reached for the drawer !

Call me mean and stubborn but I stuck to my guns and said no. So over he rolled to go to sleep. Or so I thought.

The crafty wotsit tried to sneakily put a condom on without me hearing (I'm not as deaf as he thinks). He then tried his luck again. At which point he got a mouthful of abuse for thinking I would be so silly as not to hear the ripping of a wrapper .

We debated again and he finally told me that we are just not compatable anymore because we both want different things.

I'm really struggling with this. I know it's wrong to force him into something but it's not quite that simple.
When the boot was on the other foot and he desperately wanted another baby, I saw it as making him happy and afterall, one more wouldn't be so bad.

I feel as though he wanted 3 and did everything to get what he wanted and is not supporting me in the same way that I did him.

Sorry this is a bit of a rant.

A RL friend suggested that I say lets have a 6 month break (to please him) and if I still feel the same in 6 mths then start ttc for another 6 months.

I don't think he will go for that. I also don't think I could go for 6 months without trying. When it's been 15 months already, I feel time is not on our side.

I had another +ve opk today and EWCM and Ov pains (like never before).

Maybe I have been Oving early all this time and the +ive opks I get later in the month are the second surge that can happen (according to Toni W book).
If that is the case we have been putting our efforts into the wrong time.

Not sure what to think.

Hope you are both well today.
Sorry again for going on.

On a positive note, I started antibiotics for the spots (acne) again today so hopefully that will clear my jawline up and perk my mood up too.

xxxxxxx

cityangel · 21/11/2007 21:48

3catsoo my fingers and toes are crossed... maybe try some kinky enticing...if its early he may not realise?... It must be very hard big hugs

Sorry about your cramps Ready I really hope it isn't AF. You're not an idiot or gullible it is perfectly natural to get your hope up, we all do. More big hugs from over here...
Oh and promise me you'll make a cheeky cocktail for me! If dh recovers from tonight's football!

Dh didn't comment on the monitor it was a sore point. I was having sneaky LH tests as I got far too many free when I bought Pre-seed. We stuck to the doc's advice and tried to have nookie every second day and avoiding going out and booze for him at key times. He liked being in control of initiating rather than me jumping him, tried legs in the air and pre-seed....In non-fertile time I tried to get him to play every couple of days rather than store them up. I've had him on lots of vitamins and me... no idea if they helped:

Fertility vits - him
L'arginine, L' Carnitine, n-acetyl l-carnitine, Zinc piclonate (piclonate is better for tummy), B12, Vit E & C, co-enzyme 10, omega 3, flaxseed oil, multi and 1 Proxeed sachet daily. I banned him from having aspartame (its in everything particularly chewing gum and diet drinks)

Fertility vits (before) - me
Paba, EPO & Agnus Castus (not after OV), B6 100mg (luteal phase), L'arginine (egg quality), multi, magnesium, royal jelly, bee propolis, Bromelain (implantation or eat pineapple/brazil nuts), mumomega, flaxseed oil

I think some of the vits helped with my luteal phase and kept his swimming. We certaintly had less colds. I think the HSG maybe had a helping hand who knows...

I am feeling more relaxed now what will be will be

Ready · 21/11/2007 20:32

Fingers crossed for you with DH, don't mention the EW - say it's too early for anything... and hope the EW keeps the o~ safe and warm til ovulation

Ready · 21/11/2007 20:30

I am CD28 3cats - I have had some crampy twinges, which I normally get pre-AF, so I am fully expecting CD1 tomorrow. I am clinging on to the notion that it might not be period, still. I am such an idiot, so gullible. All will be revealed How are you doing?

3catstoo · 21/11/2007 17:21

Stay positive City .

I had EWCM today and found my stash of opks. Did one and it was +ve. So very early Ov this month. Only cd12 .

Not sure how to play it with DH.

Cross your fingers that I get my way with him, please.

Where are you in your cycle Ready?

Ready · 20/11/2007 22:35

Come on chick!!! Keep positive. You have waited long enough for this bfp - try to relax and enjoy it.

Can I ask - has dh commented on conceiving while not using the monitor at all?

cityangel · 20/11/2007 22:01

Yes 3cats hang in there Thanks for your advice its good to know not to totally panic too much about the lack of symptoms.

Ready I just had a bit of spotting really no period and now have lots of twinges, bloating and boredom with organic juice.

Went to the doctor today. The first test had no control line and failed! Fortunately second test was positive! Going to see the practice nurse a week Monday for a half hour chat about options. Then have to wait till week 10... a whole lot of time for things to go wrong

Still should try and be positive

Ready · 20/11/2007 15:11

Oh, sorry 3cats - Darn! I wish I knew what to say, hang in there.

City - I kinda meant twinges, but wasn't sure how to describe it. But I have heard that the usual pre-period niggles can feel the same, so doesn't always mean you are not pg, so I wondered if you experienced that. Have you had a period then? Do you think that means you will continue to have them throughout the pregnancy?
