Just needing something, anything, to take my mind OFF my impending doom

Hello,

Nobody here again.

I got a call about DHs appt yesterday. They have had a cancellation for next week and wanted to know if DH can do that instead of September. I thought it was great. DH was not so keen. Fortunately for him he has a training course and so can't make it anyway .

Is this now going to look bad and imply that we are not making an effort?

I had another thyroid blood test today. again she had to take it from both arms as it was a bit slow coming out of the first one!
I have to wait a week for the results but hopefully they will increase my dose and I will feel the effects before I next Ov. Potentially 3 weeks away!

Anyone else got any news?

3catstoo · 17/06/2007 08:53

AF arrived this morning .

My longest cycle for 10 months. 33days.

It was 26 for quite a while but has gradually crept up. (one symptom of the hypothyroid).

So now into month 11 of ttc.

How are you ladies doing?
Sorry to be down on here.

Ready · 14/06/2007 20:40

Hey ladies, how?s it going? I have only just found the time to sit and write a proper post? hope all is well with everyone? Did you miss me?

Cityangel - I?m here chick!! Hope you are ok?? I know what you are saying about 10 months in, that is exactly how I feel right now. I don?t think the word despondent really explains how I feel right now. Big hugs flower! Hang in there!
Still no news on DH career prospects, but it?s always quiet at this time of year, we are just waiting to see. House on the market though, so we are prepared. I have been to GP and the balls are rolling on that now too ? she?s amazing, really impressed with my charts, and has referred us. DH had to do his ?business? on Monday, and apparently the results are back within 14 days. How come you have to wait so long? Is it because it?s London do you think??

Mum03 - It?s lovely of you to say you missed me. I missed all you ladies too ? but I daren?t even log on to MN from my MIL?s computer. Can you imagine if she came across the site ? can, open, worms, everywhere
I emailed you by the way! Your house is coming along nicely! Good to see.

3cats - Sorry to hear that you would have to pay for IUI, and that DH would not be up for that. How are you?
Is it really a sign of your thyroid that ovulation happens later? I have just had my thyroid checked and it?s fine, so that is something else ticked off the list. But I have had a couple of late ovulations, and I wonder what caused them?
I know what you mean about telling people in RL ? there are one or two people that I wish I hadn?t told as now it is frustrating having to say ?no, still nothing!?

MrsMc - How?s it going? You glowing? How is it with the injections? Have a lovely holiday!

Seaside - Hope you are doing ok?

Right? sorry if I have missed anyone off, but I can?t remember who is still on this thread? Seems to be a very small group of us. Rah are you lurking???

MrsMcJnr · 14/06/2007 15:19

Cityangel ? I am sorry hon it must be really hard news to swallow. What can be done? Have they said?

3cats ? sorry to hear that the meds don?t make you feel better fingers crossed they make a difference where it really counts. I?ll dig out the super shake recipes and post them for you

Mum03 ? hello

I?m ok ? feeling very sick this week which is hindering my progress everywhere. We go on holiday on Sat until 3/7 so I won?t be around but will be thinking of you all

3catstoo · 13/06/2007 13:11

Sorry to hear you are feeling down iwillbe. What test results are you waiting for?
At least you got some bding in today. My DH wouldn't even think of that at 5.30 in the morning when he has limited time to get washed dressed and fed. Fingers crossed that you've hit the jackpot.
Let us know how it goes. Big Hugs.

I've had spotting this morning and feel quite disheartened now. Achy tummy and moody with it . AF due Friday although I suspect it will be Sat if last cycle was anything to go by.
I have no tests in the house so that I cannot be tempted into testing early and wasting them!

How's everyone else doing?

iwillbepositive · 12/06/2007 16:31

Sorry on the wrong thread! Am obviously knackered from this morning

iwillbepositive · 12/06/2007 16:27

Hello all,
Feeling rather despairing about the whole ttc nightmare (should prob head for the Hut but thought I might seek out some positive vibes). Usually feel quite cheerful and hopeful during the bding phase, but somehow even that has eluded me this month. Had rather pressured shag this morning before dh headed off to work and feel very nostalgic for the days when sex was for fun rather than procreation. Plus am waiting for test results and have rather neurotically convinced myself that it is chlamydia plus thyroid problem plus diabetes all rolled into one . Hope everyone else is feeling happier!

cityangel · 12/06/2007 13:35

I will start using the CBFM (in secret from dh) next month!

This month there is very little hope as we had a week off for dh's test. Worth trying to get dh sperm tests in a non important week!

Hugs to everyone

3catstoo · 12/06/2007 09:37

for the results?

That's a long wait.

DH has his appt for the test in late Sept. I haven't told him that hiss appt has come through yet. Silly but I'm kind of hoping I won't have to tell him, iyawim.
So that means it would probably be Nov/Dec before we woulg get his results.

MrsMc, what kind of dietry changes do you mean? I have no idea on these things but am willing to give anything a go to boost our chances. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I am feeling very pre menstral today .
Migraine, moody, cramps.

I've had a few days of feeling incredibly hungry . Made me feel slightly positive about this month. Now I don't.

I've told a few RL friends but wish I hadn't because it feels like they are examining my every move and just waiting for me to announce some good news.

The playground is just so full of pg women, all about to pop! Roll on the summer hols so I don't have to see them on a daily basis.

City are you using you CBFM still?

Hi Mum03, how are you doing?
I know what you mean about not wanting to be obsessed but it's soooo hard isn't it.

Hi to anyone else lurking.

cityangel · 11/06/2007 23:23

We have to wait until late August

How is everyone doing.

Ready you there?

mum03 · 11/06/2007 19:50

I am still here, just trying not to be mn obsessed and failing !!!! I only lurk occasionally now. Just entering 2ww and feeling like sighing heavily thinking it is never going to happen...

3cats - so you are in the 2ww too....

cityangel - hope the dh results come back ok.

Mrsmc - hope you are doing ok

I have to say that I miss Ready, but I hope that she gets her bfp this month too.

3catstoo · 11/06/2007 16:14

Hi Ladies.

Mrsmc The meds have not made me feel any different. In fact I'm feeling more tired by the day! Hopefully they will up my dose next week.

OPKs suggest I ov'd on CD20 this time. It's getting later each month now (a side effect of underactive thyroid). Managed to bd on day before Ov (+ve opk) and day of Ov. Fingers crossed.

How are you doing?

City Sorry to hear you are feeling down. How long do DHs results take?
Big hugs to you sweetie.

It is very quiet on here lately, not sure where everyone has gone

cityangel · 09/06/2007 23:12

So dh sperm test went as well as can be expected. I feel a bit bad as I was away but he said it would have been embarassing if I was there!

Right now I feel fed-up. Usual reasons but all the misplaced it will happen tomorrow hope has now long gone. 10 months in and the sad reality is kicking in. Whilst I have so much to be thankful asking for biology to work as frequently warned it would is obviously too much!

I really enjoyed my day out of the country today which envolved babies during travel, lunch and shopping stages. Obviously its a coincidence but a very unfunny reminder. I particularly appreciated (not) mum referencing grandkids would be nice and this would fit you if you were pregnant!

AAAArgh

On a more investigative note where is everyone? This thread is very quiet where are you all? How are the pg graduates?

Ready how is dh getting on? Where have you been?

3catstoo any news?

MrsMC, Seaside... Everyone else (including lurkers)?
PS: If I missed anyone I was up at 6

MrsMcJnr · 08/06/2007 13:53

Hope it goes well tomorrow City x

cityangel · 08/06/2007 13:13

Thanks MrsMC :0) Hello everyone.

No Nookie all week as dh has his sperm test tomorrow

My new boss announced he is going to be a Dad in my first week, then there was an erticle on the fertility boom aaaargh

MrsMcJnr · 05/06/2007 18:27

Ladies sorry that it has been so long since I posted for you, it's not that I am not thinking about you, the opposite really!

3cats - what a nightmare the whole passport thing sounded! glad it all worked out ok In a funny way, it must be lovely to know that your DH just can't resist you, sort of there! I wanted to tell you actually that an ex work colleague who had been trying for ages and had a MC last year is now pg after a thyroid issue was detected and treated - it seems that the thyroid was causing a huge issue. I have everything crossed that the meds make a massive difference to you too. Are the meds making you feel any different? What is your DH's diet like? I was watching Living the other night and Zita West as talking about sperm counts and that diet etc can make all the difference, would your DH realise what you were up to if you made him sperm enhancing smoothies just to make sure you are covering all bases? what's the latest on the OPK front?

City - sorry you are feeling down hon I must be so hard going what you are going through but I am glad to hear that work is getting better snding huge hugs, here to listen if you need to talk

3catstoo · 05/06/2007 14:21

That's great MrsMc. So pleased all is going well.

MrsMcJnr · 05/06/2007 13:58

Ladies hello! Having a crazy, busy day so can?t catch up now but I hope you are all well and I?ll do what I can to catch up later.

Just wanted to let you know that we saw a little gumy bear this morning on the scan with a madly flickering heartbeat which is apparently very strong CRL was 14mm and we are apparently now measuring 7+6 (would be 8 weeks today based on LMP) we were so happy we felt like we can breathe after holding out breaths for so long! We got a little pic too, can?t see a thing really and DH has banned me from showing anyone (he?s embarrassed ) but I know what?s there! Bloods are fine too. More from me later!

3catstoo · 05/06/2007 13:34

Nobody on here again .

I had my appt with thyroid speciallist this morning. He is going to monitor me on a 6 weekly basis. If I get pg I have to see him asap to up my dosage.

Also had my fertility clinic appt today. No more testing on me. Just waiting for DHs sperm analysis in Sept.
If he's ok then we will be referred onto another fertility unit for IUI. But we will have to pay as we already have children. (DH would not be up for that).
Fertility guy seemed to think my thyroid was effecting fertility and said I should maybe stop trying until thyroid is sorted out .
Needless to say I won't be stopping for as long as DH keeps giving in.

3catstoo · 04/06/2007 10:16

Morning All.

How are you all today?

Must go and chart spot.

cityangel · 02/06/2007 19:53

How's it going everyone?

Tough day spent with a newborn :0(

3catstoo · 31/05/2007 17:05

Still no +ve opk

I've normally had at least one by CD17. Could this mean my cycles are getting longer?

Usually Ov 2 days after 1st +opk.

Feeling stressed and obsessed again.

3catstoo · 31/05/2007 09:30

Have a fab time Ready.

Yes they did get to France City. Nice immigration people at Waterloo . They are back at midnight tonight.

Sorry you are feeling down. So DH has had his sperm test then?

Big hugs to you.

Hi Seaside. How are you?

CD 17 for me. Ov predicted for today but no +ve opks yet so probably be later. Had faint lines yesterday so could be the build up.
DH was trying very hard last night to not give in to my advances. Got there in the end but it took ages. I was so close to giving up, especially as no +opks.
But my parents are here until Sat afternoon now so there's no chance of any BDing until Sat night .

Hi to everyone else.

cityangel · 29/05/2007 18:01

3catsoo did they get through to France?

cityangel · 29/05/2007 17:59

CD3 today. Had the blood test for FSH and just have to wait on that an dh's sperm test results.

Feeling very low. Had another big row with dh yesterday. Job is getting a bit better. My new boss anounced he is going to be a Dad and 4 colleagues have recently become new fathers! I am contemplating using the CBFM in secret which means lugging it to work

Am very fed up to be honest sorry for bring the thread down. I know it's even harder for people struggling with known issues.
