Hi,

New here!

AF due 21 August and this is our first month TTC for our first baby.

Was hoping to take an early detection test on the 16th as it's my husbands birthday on the 17th and don't think I could give him a better surprise if we've been lucky enough!

Does anyone else test early or just wait until missed AF? X

Nissi7 · 10/08/2017 21:47

Hey i think im 4dpo. I think i ov early. Ive had mild cramps. But as this is my first month ttc,so i really dunno if its a good sign and if im looking into it to much. Ive ordred some clear blue and some first response test thinking i shouldnt test until the 19th as not 100% when i ov. X

CuppaTea86 · 10/08/2017 21:31

Hey everyone
6dpo today I think? Feeling a bit achey in the lower back but of course that probably means nothing!
Had a brilliant idea to arrange to go out for cocktails with friends next Friday when AF is due, so if the witch comes I can at least have a good night! Wine Can always invent an excuse not to drink in the unlikely event I get good news Smile

loobylou124 · 10/08/2017 21:18

@squirrel, snap, I'm off on holiday too, on Tuesday. Hoping it will distract me! Might pack a test in the suitcase just in case 😉

MummysMaison · 10/08/2017 21:14

Can I join? Due to test 20th August.

Hey @nissi and @syd and everyone! How are you guys? I'm getting so impatient. A week to wait until AF is due, bleurgh. My boobs are super achy too Syd, and am a bit crampy as well. Trying not to read too much into everything but it's so hard isn't it? Went through tidying the house like a dose of salts earlier and tried to convince myself that it was 'nesting' symptoms, lol!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/08/2017 21:13

9dpo tomorrow and heading off on holiday. Thought I got a squinter this morning but consensus was evap line as it's too early. Will next test on Monday - 12DPO. Boobs are sore but trying not to get my hopes up! Been disappointed too many times! AF due Wednesday

ladybirdno1 · 10/08/2017 20:59

I have felt really tired today and felt like I've had a temperature. I think DH is not wanting me to 'put all of my eggs in one basket' riding on this month incase AF comes. I feel like I think about it a lot, in an excited way but I think he deals with it in a different way, so I think I have to be mindful he doesn't feel pressured for it to have worked straight away.

Chooklass · 10/08/2017 20:59

My Ov was later than expected so I'm just 1dpo today - feels like this month is taking forever! We've DTD every other day all month (and will continue to!) so just fingers crossed time now. I'm on holiday next week so hopefully that will take my mind off it, and when I'm back it will nearly be AF/ testing time!! I hope there will be lots of BFPs on here when I check back in! X ❤️

Annabelle4 · 10/08/2017 20:57

I'm 5 dpo.

Will probably test at 10 dpo which would be next Tuesday, even though I know that's probably too early.

When will you all be testing?

WhyTheHeckMe · 10/08/2017 20:53

Same here! I'm now 6dpo I think... days 4&5 past ovulation I was in absolute agony with my back at the bottom. It was like the worst period pains ever. But today nothing.

It's literally impossible to not go "oh my God am I pregnant??"

How is everyone else doing? I'm hoping we'll get a good number of BFPs on this thread!

Hey @nissi, doing ok thanks. Desperately trying not to symptom spot but my boobs are big (for me that is!) and sensitive so Im convinced I'm preggers when I'm almost certainly not. Oh the highs and lows!

How are you doing?

Nissi7 · 10/08/2017 20:07

How is everyone. X

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 09/08/2017 08:31

@Chooklass Thank you, thats really kind. We will see, I'm trying not to symptom spot and make comparisons from before, though of course that's easier said than done. Hopefully there won't be a next month for you Smile

Chooklass · 09/08/2017 08:09

Unicorn and WhyTheHeck - I've got my fingers extra tightly crossed for you guys. Sorry you've been through such a tough time. I symptom-spot like mad - must be so much more stressful after MC.

Is anyone trying anything different this month? I've heard raspberry leaf tea is good for thickening uterus lining so might try that next month.❤️X

Any stage is terrible. I think it just sucks that I got to 12 but it all went tits up at about 6 weeks too. I'm hoping we all get a chance and it all just slots into place.

WhyTheHeckMe · 08/08/2017 23:01

I'm so so sorry to hear that.
I was broken 6 weeks in, can't imagine how you must have felt getting so much further.
It is a very frightening time as so desperate to get pg again but then if / when we do we will be completely terrified about the "what ifs" again :(

Keeping everything xd for you xx

I have terrible backache, like I'm going to come on.. Surely I can't come on yet.
I'm off to bed, night all!

@WhyTheHeckMe About the same time. I found out mid-July the day before my dating scan (had to go to the EPU), then had a d&c a week later because apparently my body actually could indeed fail me further sigh. I'm really surprised I'm ovulating so soon, or at least got a surge, so hopefully have ovulated from it.

I was going to wait as well but one day I just kind of yearned to have that again and figured you know, I could wait 5-10 years, I'll still be in the same kind of place. I'll be scared and I'll always wonder, but at the same time, even though they may not be around yet, I'd still do anything for my babies, and I need to make them exist first so I can show them that. But I'm kind of bricking it

canthavethenameiwant · 08/08/2017 22:26

@Nissi7 thanks I'm quite chuffed with it too 😝

Thanks for the welcome I'm a lurker and gradually integrating

Chooklass · 08/08/2017 22:23

EPO is also supposed to be generally good for balancing hormones - I'm sure it really helped sort my cycle when i came off pill.

Finally got my smiley face on OPK today so tomorrow will be my official start of TWW. Nice there are a few of us going through next two weeks together - FX for +ve tests for everyone Smile❤️

WhyTheHeckMe · 08/08/2017 21:44

I didn't notice any ewcm this month... hmmm. But I did get a positive opk so does that mean all should have been okay?

Welcome @canthave!

@unicorns yes that's right, I miscarried mid July - was going to wait for Af then had a change of heart. My mum was really like "ooh you7t should wait 3 months" umm no! I would do anything to be pg again. So yes this will be first af if she arrives
How about you?

CuppaTea86 have you found its helped taking eveing primerose.

Hey canthavethenameiwant like your name 😂
X

CuppaTea86 · 08/08/2017 21:19

I'm taking EPO because my friend recommended it to be honest. I produce EWCM for one day normally a couple of days before ovulation. I've noticed within 1 week of taking that it increases the quantity and the number of days I produce it, which im hoping make its easier for the little swimmers! Incidentally my friend conceived twice taking it, both after several months of no luck- may be a complete coincidence!

Chooklass · 08/08/2017 21:18

@Nissi7 I've been taking Pregnacare pre-conception vits so far but might move onto an own brand version as Pregna are a bit pricy. Not sure if they are really necessary if diet ok, but every little might help IMO!

@WhyTheHeckMe EWCM helps sperm swim up to where they need to go xx
